Shall we try a check-in? What are you working on? What are you wanting to work on, either planning to do or wishing you had time/space/money/energy/skill/whatever to do? Feel free to share what you have finished; share stuff you have recently finished and/or add to this thread as you finish stuff throughout September.

I have another nail and string thing I want to make. Its for easter and is going to have 6 peeps (rainbow colors) and say "Hoppy Easter" under. I'm trying to decide what to do with the board before I start. Its a 1ftx2ft pine board, and I can't decide if I want to paint it, stain it, or just put a poly coat on. And Dh is no help in deciding.

I'm working on a cross stitch while I'm waiting for my yarn to make Sophie's Universe to arrive. We ordered it almost a month ago.

I've got the Snoopy birth record that I'm still working on, but also lining up two smaller projects to give as gifts. One is a "Namaste, Bitches" pattern for a friend who helped me find a prenatal yoga class, and the other is a "That's How I Roll / D20" pattern. I want to do both of those, since they're pretty simple patterns, with variegated floss - I've never worked with it before, so if anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated!

I've got two Christmas stockings I am hoping to finished before October ends so I can get them off in the mail to the people I'm making them for. But I'm stuck on one of them because I'm up to the metallic thread part and I really don't like working with metallic threads. It looks great when it's done, but I dislike working with it.

I have the cable blanket and a sock yarn hat both on the needles for the baby and I want to finish one of those projects.
I also have fabric to make like 20 burp cloths so I want to get that cut and sewn up at some point too. My kitchen table is slowly being cleared off so hopefully I can get to those this month. I have to use two vacation days at some point this month or I lose them.
Now that it's football season we should be home more and I can knit.

I bought some fancy (to me anyway) fabric from Japan and will make some casual trousers with it. Will definitely be making a muslin first!

I'm finishing up a felted solar system mobile for my upcoming baby, but then no projects for awhile. I've been in full baby prep/nesting mode and haven't been too crafty lately.

I'm making another felt doll, this time I'm attempting to pattern it myself. It's going to be Moana, I finished her legs last night. I gave up on my dreams of crocheting animals, the coded patterns were too intimidating, but sewing felt is very satisfying and just as adorable.

Doll body progress shot! Going to make the head and hopefully her dress and hair tomorrow. I'm really pleased at how the pattern came out, definitely going to save it to use again after a few tweaks.

I did my "quilt sandwich" for my table runner, but no progress on quilting it. I also have to go down and do the quilting on my nephew's quilt. I have been putting it off x1000. I also need to find my felt to finish up a yarn wreath that will be a winter transition piece that isn't Chirstmas.

I'm trying to get some mermaid tail blankets knit for my nieces for Christmas! Almost done with #2 then only one more. I have zero good pictures right now but will post at some point.
I also have to think of something for my dad for our DIY secret Santa.
And I always knit ornaments for my nieces/nephews for Christmas.
Can someone clone me please?

My H is on his way to pick up a little kids vanity that we scored for $15. I'm turning it into a Lego table for Christmas for my boys!

I'm about 10" in on a baby blanket for my BFF. She's due near the end of October, and the blanket is supposed to be 40". I'm hoping I can get lots of knitting time in to get it to her before baby comes!

I just finished a baby hat for a friend, I am working on a project for another friend, and then I need to start on the last afghan I'm giving as a gift for Christmas. (All knitting.)
Once those are all done, I think I am going to try to teach myself to crochet and how to use double pointed needles.

I'm starting this cardigan. I had been eyeing it on Pinterest but then I saw it was a kit and was on sale so I grabbed it. I need to be more aware of my tension. I'm not used to using such a large hook with light yarn. I almost ripped it all out because it was looking messy but meh. I'll just be more consistent for the rest.

Progress on the Moana felt doll! I was a little worried about her head shape, but the hair really makes her look awesome. Hand- embroidering is not easy, luckily it looks good even imperfect

enchanted - if you don't like dpns try magic loop. I think it's way easier than messing with multiple needles.

I like the fish kiss lips heel too. It's addicting. But I know people who like dpns too.

No time for any creativity currently, with a newborn taking up all my time and energy - unless having some of my photographs printed on canvas count as well lol - but I do look forward to working on some things again. Hopefully once we get out of the newborn phase. Fall and winter are perfect for lots of crafting!
I have a tea box waiting to be finished (am modpodging pretty cut out napkin images) for a friends bday. I want to try my hand at nail&string, making something for the nursery (prolly gonne start with a letter). And if I want to do handmade xmas cards again this year I best get going on those too. Tho I may go the photocard route this year..
Dreammode on: I would love to be working on some crochet project if I had the patience to crochet.. ditto for cross stitch.. And I would love to learn how to sew. I am contemplating asking for a simple sewing machine for my bday so I can actually give it a proper try!

muscari you should definitely ask for a sewing machine! I'm awful at sewing but it's so handy just having a machine for random things like when a throw pillow splits at the seem.

I think I am going to ask for a sewing machine for Christmas this year, I have a lot of projects I want to do that are too complex to hand-sew.
Next project is going to be to attempt to sew a wrap scrap lovey for my toddler. She is obsessed with blankies and I got a pack of wrap scrap from Cari Slings and she claimed a piece for herself and has been carrying it around and saying "Gee-gee" (her word for blankie). Going to back it with some minky, hopefully hand-sewing doesn't turn out too janky.

Right now, I am just checking out all your projects and being envious while I procrastinate on doing my work. I haven't had much time for crafting. I was going to finish a play mat for LO recently but couldn't find all the pieces (craft room not fully unpacked after having moved recently), so that was a bust. I crocheted a couple of dish cloths though. Exciting stuff.

Gah, I love it Dramaphile! I made a felt doll a few months back and it turned out cute but I must have used shitty wool felt because it fell apart! I was so bummed. Anyway, I've been working on these:

Burp rags are done. I might have made a ton. I added taggie loops to a bunch of them but I'm thinking those might come in handy to hold really messy ones.

Hi @chair welcome! Good luck with your first knitting project, I hope the bamboo needles will work easier cause ahh it sucks having stuff slid off and needing to redo. 🙄
I too enjoy photography and felt unsure whether it fell into this board😊 what kind of photography do you like best?
