We have 2 cookouts to go to. The weather isn't supposed to be all that good. So no parades or actual Memorial Day events are in our future.

Today we are celebrating 2 birthdays with meals - lunch with my grandfather and dinner with my brother-in-law. Should be a good weekend for food!  |

Nothing big planned - maybe a small cookout on our own unless we go to my inlaws. I told H if he wants to go to his parents he needs to hammer out the plans. These people make me crazy with waiting till last minute to decide to do things and then just expect everyone to be available. Otherwise, we're just gonna enjoy the random bits of sunshine we might hopefully get this weekend.

Our long weekend was last weekend, but I'm still jealous!
Today I have a bridal shower for my sister. It's at my mom's but I am helping host and it is a lot of work.
DH said he's taking me out for dinner tonight so I can just relax the rest of the day since he knows how overwhelmed I am right now. This is one of the busiest times of year at work, the wedding and all that entails, and regular house/kid stuff. Plus a bunch of random other stuff that of course needs to be done. Both cars need oil changes etc etc. Soon work will be done for the summer, the wedding will be over and I can just relax!!!!!!!!!!

Waiting for DS to wake up! He usually is up no later than 7am!!???
We're heading into the city after breakfast to checkout the Pixar Cars on Tour. We're excited and DS is going to flip out and pee his pants ( I hope not!!! but he will at some point le sigh... ) when he sees a life-size LM. Than just catching up with mundane stuff around the house. I have loads of yard work still to do and have been working far too much the last month an a half.

H is trying to fix the air conditioner in our car today. It's been broken for a couple years, but after yesterday's heatwave, he decided today was the day. Fx he is successful.

DD woke me up at 3:30, brought her into bed with me and she woke up at 6. I wasn't able to sleep between when she woke me and when she woke up for the day.
Picked up the groceries I ordered and I've been working on sorting her old clothes to see what I can keep for sequel and what I need to sell.

DD still had a slight fever when she woke up today. Ugh. Took a long walk to get gelato and had a picnic in the park in lieu of the first birthday party we were supposed to attend today. We have a cookout to go to tonight so I'm hoping she feels better for that. She's napping now so only time will tell!

H decided he wanted to do all the mulch today. Have at it - it was over 80 before humidity so he was on his own today. Dd and I ended up taking a nice nap and played outside with her water table and the hose. When we went to our swing, she ended up dozing off. I think the heat + play got the best of her!
