I've lived in New England my entire life and somehow have never been to Cape Cod. Have fun! How is this even possible, unless you lived in northern Maine. I lived in WNY until age 22 and have never been there either.

DS is still recovering from his cold & ear infection so thankfully we have no plans. He put himself to bed at 7 last night (90 minutes early) and slept 12 hours.
I'm nursing DD and he's watching tv on the couch. Might play in the yard.
I'm hoping to exchange two shirts my mom got me that don't fit but that'll be either tomorrow or Monday

Taking it easy. Both kids have a cold and aren't feeling 100%. Thankfully things have improved immensely since yesterday and we were able to go run errands today. All of our friends went to the beach as a group this weekend so we are enjoying the quiet 😉

How is this even possible, unless you lived in northern Maine. I'm still trying to figure that out--I grew up in CT and live in RI now, so distance isn't even much of an excuse. I've apparently been close a few times, but never actually made it to the Cape. Hey I grew up in RI and live in CT! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a bunch of crafting/sewing and cleaning to do this weekend and I'm exhausted. Not to mention the mountain of laundry that needs doing.
Sigh.

We spent the day landscaping, cleaning, doing laundry, running errands and getting groceries. Having 30ish people over for a cookout tomorrow.
My parents came from 8:30-12:30 to entertain the kids and this afternoon they came shopping and we took them to the playground.
DH just finished mowing the front lawn and I'm about to take my turn to work on the front "garden". Food prep after the kids go to bed!

I survived the shower. DS was thankfully on his best behavior and hasn't been too crabby even though he missed his nap. DH is definitely a keeper. I was stressed out because I'm an ingredient short for just about everything I could think of to make for supper and he suggested ordering pizza instead.

We totally took a family nap today. Both boys woke up before DH and I and went and played while we kept sleeping.

We bought DS his first bike today. He can't seem to figure out the pedals. We tried to show him many times but he's just not getting it. I'm hoping he figures it out soon because biking hasn't been a great experience so far but I know he'll love it once he gets the hang of it.

We are getting ready to meet a friend at the zoo in a little bit, forgot it was a holiday weekend so I'm really hoping it's not too crowded. Other than that, just running some errands and getting stuff done around the house. It's embarrassing how far behind I've got myself on laundry. I can commiserate as I, too, have an embarrassing amount of laundry to do this weekend. I always say I'm going to do a little here and there on weeknights, but it doesn't happen as often as I'd like :/ I'm the absolute worst at laundry. I'm pretty good at washing it, but not so much at folding it and the worst at putting it away. I need to figure out a better system, because mine does not work.

budders I am terrible at putting clothes away. And when I final do, it feels like a huge accomplishment.

budders....My couch is full of folded laundry right now. And more to fold. Tomorrow it should get put away but we have been horribly behind lately. Usually the washing and drying is pretty caught up....the folding and putting away doesn't always happen

Ya we've been known to take the clean rumpled up laundry right out of the basket to wear because we haven't hung anything.... why is it such a chore!?

DD woke up demanding breakfast. I tried to hold her over with dry cereal while I got a cup of coffee down, but she wasn't having it. I fix her scrambled eggs, toast, and blueberries. She sits down to her plate, but then begins eating the bowl of dry cereal. Toddlers, man.

Watching Up! for the upteenth time. I hear something new each time I pay attention tho.
Like how Cliff from Cheers is in all the Disney Pixar movies-
Yesterday I heard the old man tell the boy he can walk with him as long as there was no rap music or flash dancing. LOL.

R's birthday party was yesterday and then she slept like shit last night, kept waking up crying. Oof. I'm so tried. And I was awful and forgot to really take any pictures, but here are a couple. She loved watching the other kids hit the pinata, but couldn't quite figure it out herself. And she absolutely hated the smash cake idea. She didn't want to touch it for the longest time, then when she finally did she just spent the next few minutes trying to get the frosting off her hands and then was super over it all. Lol
