Sorry in advance if this is really long. I just want to cover all the details!
My DS2 is 10 months old. We've had a fantastic nursing relationship up until a few weeks ago. I SAH so I rarely pump--I just have a little freezer stash for when I'm away from him. I nursed my DS1 but I got pregnant with DS2 when DS1 was 7 months old. My supply started tanking and we ended up supplementing and nursing before bed for comfort really until he was about 15 months. So BFing isn't all that new to me.
So lately, my DS2 has figured out nursing makes him tired. So he fights and has no interestin nursing anymore. He literally cries like he is being tortured and pushes me away. When I finally do get him on the breast for a second, he sucks for a few seconds and then pulls away. Then he goes back and bites and pulls off and looks at me. I tell him 'no' but he either laughs and does it again or he will cry. I've tried nursing him in he living room with the tv and lights on so he realizes it's not nap time but he still fights it.
So the only time I have been able to get him to nurse is morning and before bed. He used to sleep through the night but lately he's up 3-4 times on average and he nurses fine MOTN. During the day, he has no interest. I try to pump and get drops. So I can't offer him a bottle and I don't want to tap into my freezer stash because I have a wedding in October and I'll be away from him for a few nights. The times he does nurse, he triggers a letdown within about 30 seconds, I can hear him swallowing, etc so I don't think it's a supply issue. But I'm at a loss on how to get him to nurse again and stop biting.
There's also zero chance I am pregnant😜.
