danvers , me too! I haven't really been on this last week. The hospital list thread suddenly hit me like a brick that I only have 5 weeks 4 now! left before bub gets here. Yikes! and that's if I make it to my RCS. So I've been on a self imposed deadline to get some concepts over to my client and start on some initial concepts down for my BIL and my BFF. Meh! Why did I agree on taking on these projects now! Someone should've slapped me with a KimChi SaveSave

Sounds like everyone is doing well. I quick scanned the threads and didn't see anything going on in regards to the appearance of early babies! Phew! Well our labour day weekend is certainly labour laden. Poor DH is getting ready to finally paint the office before hanging the cabinets and I am unable to help him He's also is not as good at caulking as me and I've pretty much done any caulking jobs around our house so he's been asking me how I've been doing it etc. So he pretty much spent the day cleaning and washing the walls and stripping caulk around the window. We also ran into a problem with where the air intake is positioned which is going to set us back a bit because more drywalling and texturing needs to be done in order to move it and our carpenter has limited availability. Sucks! On a good note, our patio is finally finished! We just have to wash and get some furniture lol! I also spent time last week setting up appts. to get proper estimates for sprinkler system revamp, sod installation and fence built to contain DS cos no way can hubs handle any of part of that on his own and we can fuggitabout doing putting any plants this yr which I am really bummed about. It was a busy week with work, to and fro to DS preschool and dealing with the 2nd phase of our landscaping. I've also got my work cut out with getting some more freezer meals ready this weekend. I'll try to post some recipes in the thread this weekend. I plan on making waffles for breakfast tomorrow and will make a double batch to eat and freeze since we're completely out and it's one of DS' breakfast he gets in rotation so tomorrow will start off Yummy! with strawberries and cream and maple syrup on top of fresh waffles!

Sounds like everyone has fun weekend plans! The boys and I are starting feel better. DS2 is the opposite of most kids and refuses to sleep when sick so this week has sucked. Thursday night he woke up 3 times and then up for the day at 4:30. I literally started crying. Guess I'm not ready for a ready for a newborn! In better news, we had a bar built for our basement and they are going to begin to install it today. This is H's baby. He has literally thought of everything including custom coasters, matches and napkins. This is basically the equivalent of his wedding. I missed this! Glad to hear you and your boys are feeling better from whatever you had! Also yay! to a basement bar. Hubs was totally like that about our patio...he's like a kid now and so excited about our firepit and have already turned it on a couple of night this week even though it's blazing hot here . He also automated the lights and about to get the fountain automated too...he's such a nerd. SaveSaveSaveSave

DS slept all night at his grandparents. Phew. One less thing to worry about. It's a good thing he was gone too because last night I had some awful stomach bug or food poisoning. I was so miserable. It seems to be ok this morning.

I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Third tri insomnia is in full force! This is exactly how it happened with DD so I can't say I'm surprised, just disappointed. And tired.

Morning! We got all our long weekend projects done yesterday, feels great! DD is having her first sleepover at my sister and BILs tonight (she asked to and has slept at my parents and ILs numerous times) so DH and I might try to do a bit of work on her room since her birthday is Friday!!!

H took DD out to do some errands. I'm drinking coffee and watching the Great British Baking show with waffles in my belly.
It's a rainy cold day here with the remnants of Harvey coming through. I'm not sure what else we are going to do today.

Happy long weekend! I agree that I hope none of these babies take Labour Day literally, but guys... it's September. Some of us are totally going to have babies later this month. Myself included. Eek!
I've been MIA for a few days, but to recap from last week, MH's appointments went as well as could be expected. So far everything looks good so he's been weaning off the knee brace, and he starts physio later this week. He follows up with his doctor and HQ in early Oct, which means he will still be on leave for the birth and at least a week following. Phew! One less stressor.

August Blooms waffles is the best with TGBBS. I love that show but glad I'm all caught up now. Every time I watch it I just want to make and eat all the things on the show. Well waffles didn't happen for us this am. DS wanted crepes instead so he was my little helper mixing it up and we had fun. Tomorrow am will def be waffles because I haven't had any and want some! Now I'm roasting poblanos outside the garage and sitting on a Homer bucket cos our new grill needs to be seasoned or something according to hubs 🤷🏻♀️ Totally ghetto. Anyways excited to make some stuffed poblanos for dinner tonight and the extra batch will be frozen for later.

Sounds like a few of us are doing home projects this weekend. I decided last week it was absolutely necessary to paint the nursery so that's what I'm doing today. I painted DS's room back in April and it's a little tougher of a job at 33 weeks. The room is smaller though at least. I'm already done with the first coat.
Last night we watched the Oregon opening game with my parents and we won so yay! Can't believe it's September!

Also can we have a PT check in? rebeccabunch August Blooms Taitai I think you all did fairly recently, anyone else? DS had no accidents Friday but then 3 accidents yesterday. I guess ups and downs are to be expected right? He's also been waking up super early, like 5:30, saying he has to pee even though he's still wearing a night diaper. So that's fun.

Some of you have had a very busy weekend!!!
We hung out with my grandparents today - my grandpa celebrated his 86th birthday and still going strong. DD had fun helping blow out the candles and eating cream cheese frosting. They spoil her rotten as she's their only great-grandchild. Lots of golf cart rides around the retirement community and getting all sorts of attention from everyone.
Also got my flu shot today at CVS. All the places in our town won't get theirs till Oct. 1st so I decided to do it while at my parents. OB wanted me to get it sooner rather than later in case I go early. Hopefully my arm won't be too sore tomorrow.

Hello!! I can't believe some of us have a month or less to go. I probably say it every day but this has seriously flown by.
I finally pre-registered at the hospital, called insurance about a breast pump, and bought a car seat, bottle starter kit, bath tub, diapers, play gym, dresser/changing table, etc. I feel so much more ready now. Whew. So happy for a 3 day weekend.

Hubby painted the nursery this weekend! Time to put the dresser together and organize the mounds of clothes we have! Will pull out all the other stuff when October hits (rock n play, swing, playmat, etc! Also got my new breast pump from insurance.
Thinking of what else I need to do? I really wish I could remember what we really needed for a newborn...

Sounds like everyone has had a productive weekend! I got all of baby's blankets, NB clothes, burp clothes, & bibs washed. Once my final order from my registry arrives this week, I'll be able to finish up and have the nursery completely ready and all of the last items I need. I also plan to stock up on everything I need tomorrow so that I can pack our hospital bag. Eeeek!

seventythree Good to hear your DH is on the mend! duskymonkey Jealous of your poblanos. I totally looked up how to make Viennese whirls tonight, I'm on season 6. I'm gluten free so it's an extra baking challenge but I think I'm up for it. riverraine It's been challenging with DD. A lot of the time she is not telling us she has to go... sometimes we will tell her to go and she will but other times she will refuse. We are still having accidents and I think my H wants to give up, he's giving me the impression that my daycare is less than impressed with her not telling them when she needs to go. So I don't know 🤷🏼♀️

I'm only just now checking in! DS is NOT napping in his bed. I don't know what to do. He fell asleep quickly tonight, but we can't have this every weekend.
Anyway, yesterday was mostly relaxing and today my dad came and installed a tankless water heater. They installed it for a customer and then she changed her mind about the type or something. So he was able to get it for me for free. Yas!
Tomorrow we're going to a cookout. DH insists that we pack the hospital bag tomorrow too. Sigh.

Wheeeee, I'm wide awake at 4am. Thanks, pregsomnia! I know looking at a screen won't help, just needed to complain to people who understand. I'm gonna go read until I hopefully pass out.

seventythree I was wide awake at 4am last night too. I also try to avoid going on my phone when that happens, but I was so uncomfortable from the baby kicking me...I just said screw it and checked out tapa to pass some time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ August Blooms I hear you on the PT struggles. We are going through a little phase where DS isn't initiating and is avoiding the potty. Its a control thing and it's really annoying. The book I read (the oh crap! one), said this is normal and to try not to over-prompt. The author stressed to keep sticking with it and not to give up. It is so frustrating through - I have been discouraged by seeing DS have a few pee accidents in his shorts the past week or two.

Taitai solidarity lovetit. I end up on my phone at least half the time -- esp when my brain is wide awake but my body is too tired/uncomfortable to get up -- but then I wonder if I'm making it worse. Happy holiday Monday, everyone! DD is going to MIL's this morning, so I've got about 3 hours of free time. I'll probably spend it cleaning/tidying, but first order of business is having a quiet breakfast without a toddler play-by-play ("Thats mama's coffee! Mama eat some oatmeal! Mama drinking coffee! Want some milk! Want bluebies! Mama has oatmeal!")

We started a week before you and just this Tues DS2 started pooping in the potty. This is after pooping on the floor or just holding it for days. He's now gone everyday unprompted. My point is we were at our wits end and it all of sudden it just clicked. We also had a lot of refusal to go in general for a while and I was so frustrated. I realize now I was over prompting. If you want the E version of that book to skim through just pm me and I'll send it to you. ETA about him waking early to pee even though he's wearing the night diaper, this actually means he's getting it! DS1 and 2 did/do this and H and I want led to be like just pee in your diaper! But you don't say that even though you want to.

Princess Kate is pregnant again! I didn't see when she's due.
I work with a woman born in London that has me all into the Royal Family + the show The Crown increased my interest.

I saw that this morning, too! I'm already irrationally annoyed that people are predicting if it's a girl she'll be named Alice (DD's name -- I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief when we dodged that one with Charlotte since they were born close and we only had the 1 girl name picked out). Crazy pregnant lady, party of 1.

I'm still catching up, it's has been a busy weekend! We transitioned DS to his big boy room/bed Thursday and it has gone surprisingly well. He has been waking once during the night for a quick snuggle but then goes right back to sleep. Hopefully that is short lived as he gets more comfortable in his new room. I was able to get the nursery cleaned out as well and some other baby things checked off my list. It's hitting me next month is baby month so I'm trying to check off a bunch of stuff while I still can.

Just my take if anyone else watches!

seventythree The wake ups are getting worse for me too, the 4am potty trip plus being unable to fall right back asleep sucks. Taitai She's so stubborn so it's super frustrating. We are going to stick with it but H's patience on cleaning up messes is wearing thin. rebeccabunch I didn't finish the first season for some reason, I guess I should add it to my mat leave to watch list. DD was born a week or so before Charlotte, that was one of my top names... glad we didn't pick it. We need to work on our baby name short list. My mom keeps sending me ideas, some good, some not so much .
