I have a general question for everyone: TTMA blocks/building sets/Legos What am I supposed to be buying now for my N13er? Are we using the small Legos now? Are we still in the wood blocks phase? Something fancier? We're doing the Lego City sets; I think the age range is 6-12. B loves to open the instructions and follow page by page to build it, then destroys it and starts over.

We have some smaller lego only because they're batman and ghostbusters but he gets frustrated when pieces break off and he can't fix it.

Our SLP uses small legos during therapy and V really enjoys this but I'm not sure if it would be frustrating to play with them on his own at home? Now this morning he's found youtube vids of older children playing with legos and he's practically drooling.

Morning all.
The whole house passed out last night and woke for the day at 7. I think we all missed our beds and home.
I've got to get the cats from the kennel this morning, and it's a beautiful Saturday so we'll be outside.

Get a small box and see how he does, that's how we started.

Something fancier? We have duplo as our only lego product, otherwise old-fashioned wooden blocks, magnatiles, and these wood magnet ones that I can't remember the name of, but j will still build with both the cardboard blocks that look like bricks and the foam ones that have a wood grain.

Good morning from the Farmer's Market! It's starting to drizzle and I ain't happy bout it. People need to buy my plants! My greenhouse is full!
I'm heading to Dallas to see my friend today and eat all the cheese and drink all the wine. Then I'm going to this awesome bar to see my uncle's classic rock band. 😎 it's going to be a good weekend!

Re: legos
Ds let's his sisters play with Legos. My n13er loves them! It's fun to watch the imagination. She also still loves her duplos.

I'm up with h. N came into our room at 7 and Dh is still in bed trying to get her to sleep a little long with him since she's of course a hot mess from staying up so late. Aaaand she just came downstairs. She's so whining already, it's going to be a long day. We're heading to the ILs later today overnight. I haven't been since Christmas so I'm looking forward to doing zero parenting while they dote on the kids I am automatically super jealous of anyone who a) is looking forward to seeing their in laws and b) in laws who dote in your kids. My in laws are aliens from another planet who don't know how to act like normal nice people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My in laws are nice enough people. But have never watched our kids. Never changed a diaper. And last time we visited my father in law told me that sam was way too old to still be wearing a diaper. So I have the jealousy too. Every time tgrimes talks about her inlaws I turn a little green.

We're gonna try again at potty training. My family is coming over this morning and we're going to start after nap. Hold me I feel you friend. We are also working on this. He keeps telling me 'maybe when I'm 4.' Nope kid. Mommy can't wait that long.

It is an older show on Nick...a little kid (Dan) sees dinosaurs in his everyday life but no one else sees them. My k8ds are both obsessed. So it's about a child with schizophrenia?

csho we have a lot of building toys because they have such a long term use. Duplos, Tinker Toys, Magnatiles, and wood blocks are all popular on different days.

MH is attending a bachelor party tonight. I really don't like the majority of the people going, for various reasons. I hope he doesn't end up in jail.
I might take the kids to swim at my in laws' house. If they're okay with me having strep. MIL's parents are there and I don't want to spread it around.
How contagious am I? Like, if I don't make out with anyone am I good?

We're at my parents and it's gorgeous. I was hoping to take the kids to a great outdoor pool but it doesn't open until Monday. I might take them to The Enchanted Forest, a local amusement park, but am undecided.

We buy Lego juniors now but C isn't that big into building and just wants to play with the toy. I find the small pieces supremely annoying.

I'm waiting at the vet. I hate coming here because I used to have control and now I have to explain my requests. Like they don't understand why I want to do Max's bloodwork early. He's losing weight and I want to get on top of it. Also it takes them forever to do it and I just want to go back and draw it myself.
Also I've been very nauseated this morning so after my shower I laid down for an hour. Dh and C were still in pjs watching tv when I left with Max after I explicitly asked Dh to take C out to get some play time. If they are there when I return I'm going to lose it. Also don't think I can make it to Lowes today because I feel dizzy.

I'm foul today--hating on everyone and everything. I know it's because af is due in the next two days or so. This started right after I had Charlie and it's such a miserable day (and thankfully only a day) each month.

It's 95, which is exceptionally hot for where we live. It's a very humid kind of heat, like thunder is on the horizon, which isn't the case. I'm just not build for heat.
