The Trying to Conceive After a Loss thread is posted once a week (generally on Tuesday) for those of us who have unfortunately experienced a loss. No matter what type of loss you've experienced, from miscarriage to stillbirth to the loss of a child, it is heartbreaking. This thread is to help us commiserate, get support, and to try to navigate trying to conceive, after a loss, every week.
Out of respect to all the ladies here, please add a trigger warning if you decide to talk about any living children and please hide your signature if it contains pictures or tickers of babies or children. We also kindly ask for grads to refrain from commenting in this thread.
If you get a BFP, kindly either spoiler alert it or do not post it here at all.
**If this is your first check-in, and you would like to provide a gtky loss history intro go for it. If not, no worries!**
How are you doing?

Just as a little aside, I'd really like to thank everyone, those who go here and not, who helped me out last week. I have the occasional panic attack, but that was something new. I have a doctors appointment next month, but if it happens again that badly, I have told MH to just drive me to the ER for treatment.

How are you doing?
I'm okay for the most part.
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched):
Just waiting for my first period AL and then we'll start ttc again.
Diagnosis (if applicable): N/A
Updates/questions: Nothing really, tomorrow marks 4 weeks AL.
Debbie downer (a place to vent ) :
Nights are still hard, I had a couple pretty hard nights this past weekend. I think it had to do with seeing my sister who is pregnant. I was fine when I was around her, but after she went home the sadness came. I cried myself to sleep Friday and Saturday.
QOTW : What's the strangest place you've ever traveled to?
I have not done much traveling and no where that was strange.

Hi everyone. I'm new here.
H and I were TTC for 18 months (13 cycles I think) when we conceived after our third cancelled attempt at Femara and TI. I have PCOS with long cycles and delayed ovulation. H has thicken semen than normal, borderline morph, and a varicocele. We were never able to see anything super definitive in the right places on scans, though ectopic was never proven either. RE called it a pregnancy of unknown location. I had a shot of Methotrexate 6 weeks ago, and I'm benched for another 4-6 weeks.
How are you doing? These last few weeks have been easier than the first few. It is getting easier to talk about without getting upset.
Status: Benched, on BCP. I have about 4.5 weeks left of those
Diagnosis (if applicable): PCOS with long cycles and delayed ovulation, varicocele, abnormal semen viscosity, and borderline morph
Updates/Questions: Nothing I can think of
Debbie downer (a place to vent): Nothing for right now
QOTW: Hmm...I can't think I've really been anywhere that strange.

How are you doing? Better than I was last week. I had a lot of people rally around me so that helped a lot. Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): Benched (2 more weeks! Eek!) Diagnosis (if applicable): RPL Updates/questions: As mentioned above, only 2 more weeks until IUD removal! The countdown is ON. I have sooo many appointments next month (dentist, doctor, Echo has to go for his second round of shots) but of them all, this is the one making me the most nervous. I was reading and they say that removal is a lot easier than insertion. Anyone had an IUD who can comment on this? Debbie downer (a place to vent ) : {Spoiler}Ugh, I hate being at this age! Pretty much everyone I went to school with either has just had a baby or is announcing their pregnancy. There are a lot of times that I just scroll right past as soon as I see an U/S. I wish there was a way to block them, at least temporarily! Someone remind me not post an U/S pic when it's my turn >.< QOTW : What's the strangest place you've ever traveled to? The strangest place would probably have to be a trip specifically to see the giant robot arms in Holland. My dad and brother are both engineers so they were super interested in seeing them lol

notmoose, Thank you for the hugs. Hopefully your period starts soon. I think that's one of the most nervewracking things, just waiting for things to start up again. From my experience, seeing someone close to you during their pregnancy is much much harder than actually seeing them with a child. When my BFF was KU, I could barely look at her belly, and I felt Q once. But as soon as that little man was out I was his Tauntie and that was that. orangehibiscus, welcome to our little community. I'm sorry for your loss. It sounds like you and YH have had a rough go of it. Do you have a plan in place moving forward?

How are you doing? Super tired and the other day I passed out. I'm hoping this doesn't mean my liver disease is progressing. Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): Benched. Diagnosis (if applicable): PID related fertility issues. Updates/questions: sadly none. Debbie downer (a place to vent ) : first of all, I can seem to lose the weight I need too. I have 6 months left until I go back and I haven't lost a pound. I do great working out and moving, but I'm horrible at controlling my diet. I don't know why. I never struggled with it before my kids were born. everyone is freaking pregnant! Everyone!!!! QOTW : What's the strangest place you've ever traveled to? Ummmmm I don't really travel although not for lack of desire to.

Sorry I've been MIA lately. I'm in full panic mode this morning, as hurricane Irma is expected to cross very closely to where my parents and a good majority of my friends live. I will be leading my residents in prayers and communion today, but any prayers and otherwise good thoughts would be mighty appreciated.
