I'm up and so nervous!! I want a greasy breakfast too! Maybe tomorrow. I'm just trying to think what I might need overnight. Of course I've packed like 9 different forms of books but no clothes yet hahaha Good luck!! You're going to look amazing with this reduction + your impressive weight loss this year. I hope you feel so much more comfortable.

This is a post and run (off to class), but I signed the new contracts for the kids daycare. The provider started with DD. Signed one year. Nothing changed. All is good. Get to the second contract, DS (Aug 15 baby) is only signed for 3 months! Hes on probation bc of his "awful" behaviour. Not sure if anyone remembers the long sit down we had with our provider, but basically he wasn't listening and doing what he was told, and testing boundaries. I'm floored by this. My 2 year old is on probation for being a 2 year old???? Why not lead with this little tid bit so I wouldn't have signed a full year for DD. If they boot DS, no way would DD stay. Arg, I'm frustrated and feeling like an awful parent to say the least. Hes not violent (hitting, pushing etc.), he plays well with others - its not listening and obeying the provider. Arrrrgggg. tl; dr DS is on a 3 month probation at daycare for being a 2 year old..... Rage. If they don't understand the nature of 2 year olds that's a big fucking problem.

My poor boy has the most sensitive skin. He has really bad eczema which we try to manage with hydro-cortisone cream and limiting baths when we can... summer is a bit better than winter...
But it just flares up all the time. Pretty sure he's allergic to the dogs. I think there are other things triggering it too, but it's hard to pinpoint. I'm taking him for a checkup Thursday and going to push for allergy testing and maybe a dermatologist refferal as well.
Sunday night he had a lot of rash/puffiness and it kept spreading, it was driving him nuts. So sad. We gave him some Benadryl and that seemed to help quite a bit. PDQ.
*poof*

Once we figured out which allergies to avoid, it went away. In the winter I slather her in vaseline after bath. So I wash a lot of crib sheets in the winter....

avocadotoast, dd and ds both had eczema. Dd way worse than ds, but for each kid different things worked. For DD we used all Aveeno and also had to alternate a low strength prescription steroid cream when she had her flare ups. For DS, he would get it on his back if he got too hot, and I tried EVERYTHING until hawkward suggested I try Honest Co.'s All Purpose Balm. Worked like a charm and I haven't had to put anything on his back in months since it's cleared up from that balm.

Trying to check in and there's a fire in the hospital. Small. And I'm laughing so hard at just how many people ran inside anyway and yelled "JUST GOING TO TIM HORTONS" at security 😂

Peekaru, he's fine. Thanks for asking. Day care called Friday afternoon saying he was complaining his ear hurt and he was crying. I got there as soon as I could (an hour and a half later) and took him to urgent care. The doctor said I could wait and see if it clears up by Sunday. I gave her a funny look and said I would rather start the meds today. Littlest has a long history of ear infections. We don't "wait and see" when it comes to that.

45thparallel ,i would be pissed too. I would also be scheduling another sit down to discuss her expectations of how a 2 year old should actually behave. And have back up information showing she's out of line with those expectations. I hate that I cant waltz into a meeting and lay down the research, because English. So frustrating. This just could be the big push to get me to learn the language so I can let my inner b*itch out.

45thparallel , that's super shitty. I feel like she should have lead with the 3 month contract.. But also WFT to a probationary period for a 2 year old being a 2 year old. Have you considered looking elsewhere? We are limited in how close the daycare needs to be to our house (and the in-laws). We both work 1-1.5 hours away from home so commuting and having help to go get the kids is a huge factor for us. I don't trust inlaws driving at all so that limits us. We are putting out name in at a local center but its unlikely well get in there.

My post count is terrible. Sometimes the board moves so fast and I get so busy, it's hard to catch up. Low post count, but an active member nonetheless. I find it hard to keep up most days too.
