I took C to daycare. He felt warm at drop off and was a crying clingy mess. I am having H pick him up around 9:30 - i'd rather him be home today and go back tomorrow over daycare calling today and not being allowed to go back tomorrow.
And it's picture day. FX he let's them take his picture!

Upside, I think i am finally getting over this cold.
Downside, I think H is at the beginnings of it.

Ugh woke up and immediately puked a bunch. I'm 17 weeks, this should be ending soon right?! I think I posted this last night on yesterday's thread, E had a really bad first day back at day care yesterday. I am so sad about it. He loves his day care provider and his little friends there, he just really missed being at home with me, I think. I have to work late today, so my mom has to go pick him up this afternoon. I feel like I am going to be crying all day today.

redandblue, responding here instead of yesterday's. Friday my mom is coming down and we are taking him to an open gym gymnastics place and ChickFila for lunch. Then Saturday we are having a Sesame Street party at a nearby park. It should be a good time! I invited a tonnnn of people and as of now it's 60% rain.

easternshoregirl, i am sorry for rough drop offs - i think you are right though, it's just him missing his mommy. From experience I've learned they bounce right back into their school schedule. Hang in there, it'll get easier!

RunsforWineandCarbs, hope C feels better soon. DD woke up with a red and crusty eye, so I've been coaching my mom through how to get drops into her eye. No luck so far. My mom is too nice and doesn't want to do it the way I do it (lay her down with her arms on her sides, straddle her body and use my legs to pin her arms to her side. Put in drops, move on with life).

It took us 6+ miserable hours to get home from Boston on Sunday. It was probably the worst day of my life.

I didn't have any gym buddies this morning but sometimes that is nicer. I can push a little harder and focus more on my workout rather than talking too much and losing track of what I'm doing.
Poor H is a big ball of nerves this morning. His team has to present the project they've been working on to the customer, so kind of a big deal. But he just doesn't handle stress well.
A and I are probably going to story time at 10:30 but no other plans really.. I'm making stuffed pepper soup tomorrow so I will start to prep all of that this afternoon

I'm up and so nervous!!
I want a greasy breakfast too! Maybe tomorrow. I'm just trying to think what I might need overnight. Of course I've packed like 9 different forms of books but no clothes yet hahaha

Greasy breakfast won. Sausage, egg, and pepper jack cheese with a hashbrown on a roll.

Thanks, RunsforWineandCarbs! This kinda makes me wish his day care were open in the summer so he could go once or twice a week to stay in the habit. Hopefully today is better!

Yes. Over the course of that 6+ hours I had 2 5-hour energys, one roadside puker, and one too many stretch stops. Hungover driving is not fun.

CestLaVie, when i stayed overnight from my surgery, i couldn't sleep at all! I watched movies on tv, read my book, read the magazines my mom dropped off and laid there staring at the ceiling. Bring shit to keep you occupied. You don't really need clothes - i mean you need something comfortable to laze around in and if that outfit is good enough to wear home then that's all you need.

DD has also been sniffling so much for the last 2 weeks. So on top of that, this mornings red & crusty eye, plus my mom told me there was some blood on her pillow from her nose - I'm thinking she has seasonal allergies. H is going to pick up some Children's Claritin today for her.
