tgrimes This is probably a stupid question, and I'm sure you've already entertained all the potential options for getting home, but would there be any possibility of flying into Austin or San Antonio or Dallas and renting a car?

I am! I work Sunday through Thursday. I could drive up to San Clemente for lunch. Jealous! I want to join.

I'm going to drop a bomb. Our kids are going to be four in two/three months time. I wanted to be on time. So I'm looking for 4yo shirts on etsy. Go away with that nonsense.
Actually I'm so looking forward to it. Maddie was a beast for about the first month of 4 then after that it's been a steady upward progression. I'm so sick of Cass' fits and general a-holery. I welcome when she's a little older and more mature.
I'm really glad you said all this. I have been struggling the last week with tantrums and fits. E was sick for part of it and I was sick for part of it, but it seems never ending. I even took him to the dr to rule out an ei since it is do severe right now. I've been trying to brainstorm ways to respond to the hour long tantrum or the grumpy morning. Just feeling particularly guilty tonight after he yelled at me a lot.

I just bought O 3 new pairs of shoes for School. O is in size 11 shoes. Maybe I should have jumped to 12 because he's been in these 10's a long time. Oh well. He may need new shoes again at Christmas. Z is about to be in size 7! I feel like she has bigger feet than he did at this age (20 months).

ggandlee I can't believe you're selling the N13 compound! Is that allowed? I think we need a poll. But really, congratulations! The family life balance is worth it!

chrisy01, IME zulily shipping is slow as molasses. Same, unfortunately. I just ordered a casual winter jacket from them and I fully expect to see it sometime in early October .

Thank you all for the quinoa help yesterday. I ended up making pesto so I swirled it into the quinoa and topped it with sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers and shredded parm.

Oh no, @chrissy! I don't know if you can do it online (I'm sure you can), but I would call customer service.

chrisy01, show us the dress! And like others said, pretty slow shipping. snoopmommymom, size 7 at 20 months! Woah. My niece is 22 months and in a size 9, so she's probably got Z beat! I was laughing when she told me she had some fall shoes in a size 7 for L. L is just starting to fit into a 4. ggandlee, Woah. Those are some big changes! I feel like we were all so investing in your house building so I'm a little heartbroken some other family is going to live in it!

I found a dress. I just hope it arrives on time. What is zulily like for shipping? SLOW! Like, I've waited a month to receive stuff. You get a good price on product, but don't expect to receive anything before a week unless you pay for expedited shipping. I always ship everything the cheapest method.

I don't know if you can do it online (I'm sure you can), but I would call customer service. chrisy01 I've never actually cancelled an order with them, but have emailed about product I've received before that didn't fit correctly and they were fast to credit my account. I think they have great service. Is the dress something you could go ahead and keep on order and just wear for another occasion?

Here's the dress. My dh might get mad if I keep it...I'm suppose to be downsizing my closet not adding. He was ok with me getting one dress for the event since the dress I planned on wearing doesn't fit me and even if I could lose weight in time it still wouldn't. So I don't know. Thought?

chrisy01 , IME zulily shipping is slow as molasses. +1, but it also depends on how much time is left on the brand. oh and never get anything that has to ship form china. Good gosh, that takes like a month+ !!

There is but I'm not sure about the logistics of renting a car to get to Houston. With everything flooding right now, which place I would be able to return the car, etc. I don't know if they would even allow me to drive to houston, KWIM?

Hey ggandlee! Congrats on the new job! I hate that you have to lose your dream home, but I understand how family time comes first. Good luck with everything!
