How far along are you? 23w3d How big is baby? A bunch of grapes or a grapefruit. Any upcoming appointments this week? Nothing until mid September. Any new symptoms or changes? Belly is popping out more, more movement, especially after eating. ETA, TMI, I guess it's all the fruit I'm eating or the heat but the constipation has gone  Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? How big is baby?: An ear of corn (WTE) / GI Joe (Ovia)
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Had my 1hr glucose test yesterday. My office apparently offers lemon lime instead of orange, so it tasted like flat, sugary Sprite. They told me they once offered cola flavored as well, but everyone hated it. Should know the results by the end of the week at the latest, they said. Otherwise, doppler showed heartbeat is good.
Any new symptoms or changes?: The reflux. Also I'm starting to notice patterns of movement, which is kinda cool.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: We are finally back from vacation! I'm catching up on threads so don't mind me liking stuff that's a week old lol. We were on a mini road trip to southern VA and North Carolina - nothing too strenuous (though I was unprepared for climbing the hill at Kitty Hawk), but I have never been so invested in where the next bathroom was in my life. Staying hydrated is a blessing and a curse.

26,4...third tri on Friday and only 12 weeks (at most) to go!
A bottle of siracha.
I have the glcuose test, a growth scan, and an OB check next week.
I can't each much at a time and if i drink too many liquids at once I projectile vomit. Plus my ankles are starting swell after sitting all day. Fun times in pregnancy land.
I'm still able to wear my low heels which is more than I could manage with DD at 27 weeks.

kensie5226, liked for 3rd tri and heels, but a big boo for the vomit and swelling. cakewench - I have been cutting walks short based on the distance to the next toilet.

How far along are you? 26 weeks. Half a year!!?
How big is baby? The Bump says "kale." Ok.
Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope.
Any new symptoms or changes? So much swelling this week. I can't wear either of my rings, and my "fat finger" substitute ring is even getting tight. I have to prop up my puffy feet up on a chair while at work which is tacky af but it helps. I'm guzzling water like its going out of style. Also, I've had a dozen or so Braxton Hicks contractions in the past 24 hours. They really creep me out.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? These maternity pants are driving me nuts. They are always slipping down as I walk, and I never have the right color band at the top to match what it is I want to wear that day (i.e. a flesh-colored band for light tops vs. a consistent color with the pants for tops that might ride up a little).

typo31, I've pretty much written off work pants and have moved to dresses. I have a couple of pair that work on weekends, but yeah they're annoying.

How far along are you? 23w How big is baby? At our growth scan yesterday the girls were measuring 1lb6oz and 1lb7oz, around 67% for size. Any upcoming appointments this week? OB check up next Wednesday, I might be doing a glucose test then, can't remember for sure. I think I have check ups every 2 weeks now and growth scans are every 4 weeks. Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing new, just more of the same: reflux, heartburn, occasional vomiting, belly getting very big. People are constantly making comments assuming I'm near due now, which actually makes me laugh this time around. They often look pretty horrified when I tell them I have 3 months to go. Any upcoming appointments this week? Tomorrow! I'm pretty sure they do our glucose test next time because I thought they sent it home with me ahead of time last time. Guess I'll see tomorrow!
Any new symptoms or changes?: not really. Peeing much more. Sleep is getting really rough already. Stronger kicks.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: if tomorrow goes well, I think I'm going to be ready to announce on FB. I really like the picture referring to our miracles in heaven so I hope I can get DH on board.
Doing a staycation this end of the week, so I'm looking forward to that. We took DD to the aquarium for the first time recently and she LOVED it, so I'm excited to see how much she loves the zoo. We are also trying to plan one last trip back to see my Midwest family in late Oct, so I need to ask again how late my dr will let me fly.
Lastly we have been super busy getting quotes for a few house projects we hope to get done before this baby comes.

My aches and pains have shifted upward. It's good news for my crotch, bad news for heartburn and breathing. Rants/ Raves/ AW/ Questions? Not much to report. We traveled last weekend with some friends, and when we got back I realized we have no more trips planned. Weird that I'll be home until baby 2 is big enough to travel! ldubhawksfan we're also busy on the home improvement front. We somewhat spontaneously decided to buy all new kitchen appliances. Not my favorite way to spend money. |

BlahBlahGinger we've been saving for a few big projects and I don't want to deal with them during mat leave so it's kind of made us decide to go on all fronts. We are replacing windows (ouch $!), hopefully doing articulate turf in our small backyard, and DH really wants to install a whole house fan since we don't have AC.

Any upcoming appointments this week? Glucose test next Friday. I think I get to pick orange or lemon lime.
Any new symptoms or changes? Reflux is getting worse. I might ask the doctor about it next week. Also I'm starting to have insomnia too.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? This week has just been crazy stressful and I'm ready for...October.

Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? Work started up again this week, so things are getting a lot busier. I'm not happy about having to set an alarm. It's much nicer to be woken up by cuddles from my toddler.

Any new symptoms or changes? Heartburn and my belly feels tight but on the inside, if that makes sense. Like, lotion isn't going to help because it's the muscles.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? Little man now pretty much goes crazy anytime I eat anything which is hilarious. My H is always like "Aww does baby like that?" and I told him that baby like EVERY.THING so I am assuming he will be another chunk. hahaha. I am already ready for maternity leave. I feel so much more tired this go round.

Insomnia already and feet swelling at night no matter how much water I drink!
Rants/raves/AW/Questions?: I think a combo of hormones, exhaustion, and toddlerhood has given me pregnancy rage. I feel like I have no patience with DD lately. She's really testing boundaries which I know is par for the course with a 2 year old, but hearing myself say no all the time is driving me bonkers. I've never felt this impatient before and it definitely makes me feel like I'm a bad Mom at the moment! 😕

I'm still not sure what I did but apparently she's been getting a lot of time outs lately. My issue is trying to keep my cool when she blatantly does the exact opposite of what I just asked to do or not do. I never thought I would be a yell-y Mom, and I feel like I have been. Hugs to you, too! Hopefully these are short term defiant toddlers we have. Either that or their defiance will help them succeed in life and they'll be able to take care of us when we're old! Then it'll all be worth all the no's, right?! Right?! |

Guys, I'm back at work and have no time for anything!
Also, I hate to be THAT person, but 2 years old is a frigging piece of cake compared to 3. I'm serious. 3 has been an absolute nightmare. N is so cute and can say the funniest stuff, but he can be such a psycho sometimes.

Well Doppler sounded good and my glucose drink (orange) is in the fridge for next month.
He also scheduled an US for the next appt. I don't remember if he did it with DD, or if it's just because I'm still a little low on the weight gain so he wants to check baby size. I'll take it though! But will NOT bring DD!

Insomnia here too. My sore hips or my bladder wake me up and then I can't turn my brain off.
Rants/raves/AW/Questions? I was already stressed about the cost of 1 in daycare and 1 in preschool, but my provider just told us our rates will be raised next year by $20/day so now we will officially be paying more for childcare than we do for rent. And that's for part-time care (3 days a week) since I'm scaling back my work hours after LO#2. I know it's just part of being a working parent, but it sucks how much of my paycheck will go just to this. I keep reminding myself it's worth the peace of mind to have someone I know and trust watch them.
