I got my birthday present from my in-laws and it's a gift certificate to Franklin Planner for my 2018 planner refill.
Now I have a problem. I can't decide if I want to stick with the Compact size I've been using since 2010 or switch to the Classic size I'd used before that. I still have a Classic size binder and inserts, so I wouldn't need to buy anything but the refill & possibly some blank pages if I switched. In either size I'd be going back to a page a day planner or a 2-page a day planner because I do not like the vertical 2-page-a-week design at Franklin Planner.
So, what's your opinion?
Classic Size, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, 7-ring Compact Size, 4 1/4 x 6 3/4, 6-ring

I have the 8.5 x 11 planner.
I usually have a good amount of room after the week is done. That being said, I've started writing my work meetings, appointments, meal planning lists, to do's, if our pick-up or drop off changes, and E's school and after school activities. I've also started putting post-it notes in there for work tasks so that I don't forget them (I can move them week to week and they are physically there to remind me).
So on any given day I can have a mess load of things in my planner, but its awesome to see everything in one place.
It should also be noted that I don't really use stickers or washi tape. But because I'm keeping track of 4 schedules (me, my husband, C, and E), I tend to use up most of the space each week.
And as much as I love my phone apps, this has been a life saver for planning out 1 week to 1 month ahead of time.

Thanks everyone!
I decided to stick with a Compact planner, going back to a 2-page-per-day layout. I don't need that much space, but I need an appointment schedule -- I love the ability to see my day at a glance; And I need a lot of space for my to-do/task list -- I break everything possible down into smaller tasks, so my task list is huge! And while I don't really use the journal/notes section for notes, I will use it instead of my calorie tracking section.
I am really excited about it. I got it with a 15% discount so that was good, and it actually came out cheaper than the 2-page-per-week design I was considering at DayTimer, so bonus all around.
