Looking to grab a few new things to add to my wardrobe from last time. What are you favorite places for maternity clothes?
Any recs for work pants? I threw out my pairs from last time after I lent them to a friend. They were well loved!

Last time I got some cute shirts from our Motherhood Maternity outlet store. Work pants were from kohls but they don't make that style anymoreπ
I had a couple pieces from pink blush maternity and liked those, but a lot of my stuff was actually from old navy. Lots of cute things without being super expensive!

I have a few pairs of pants that I bought from Burlington Coat Factory. The brand is Celebrity Pink. I think that brand is also at Macy's but I wasn't able to find any online. They weren't crazy expensive and they are very comfortable.
I bought a big bag of maternity clothes off a Facebook rummage sale group in February and there were a couple of pairs of shorts from Motherhood Maternity which are ahhhhmazing! And then a lot from Old Navy.
I have really only been wearing the pants/shorts as my regular shirts are still working right now.
I wear scrubs to work and everything still fits. I think my shirts may last me a while longer but I can see myself buying some maternity scrub bottoms.
I also need bras but really do not want to have to purchase any. Ugh.

Maternity clothes are horrid. So ugly and so expensive.
I recommend hand me downs if you can get them or consignment/thrift stores for tops. If you spend money on anything, get a pair of jeans that fit really nicely and maybe a good coat.
I recall Gap's full panel pants to be reasonably well made.

I've found most of the things I have so far from Gap and Old Navy. I bought several of Gap's maternity pure body v-necks and I love them. They will probably be my go-to with a cardigan for work. I just ordered the bi-stretch full panel pants from Gap, so I'm hoping they fit well for work. Will review once I get them!

The Liz Lange maternity tanks (no ruching) from target are THE BEST. They held their shape (unlike old navy tanks that just stretched out) and were thick/stretchy. I lived in them throughout the last pregnancy/fourth tri. They were easy to nurse in too!
I hate full panel anything - the compression makes me feel sick. I plan to live in leggings and long sweaters once it gets cold.
If you plan to nurse I suggest getting the new/larger bras you'll ineveitably want during pregnancy as a nursing bra - less money in the long run. I also bought a bunch of nursing bralettes during pregnancy bc they were super comfy to sleep in and then got a lot of use out them post-birth.

When I was pregnant with DS, my go-tos were mostly Destination Maternity and Pink Blush. I tried a ton of other stores but couldn't find maternity pants that would stay up, so I ate the cost of DM or got lucky with the clearance racks. To be fair, I'm a size 16 and it can be hard to find good plus-size maternity clothes.
I know a lot of people swear by Loft maternity pants, especially for work-friendly pieces, but I never tried them. Pink Blush was by far my favorite for tops/dresses/leggings.

I know Target *was* having a sale on their older brands now that their coming out with new ones. You may want to check there. I have a pair of jeans and shorts from there I like.
I also got a pair of pants from H&M that I loooooooved last time. They were the only maternity pants I could stand.
I mostly lived in dresses though, the pants were too confining and made me feel sick. I know this is going to be more of an issue this time because of the weather so hopefully I'll find something I can deal with.

Does anyone have recommendations for a nice robe for at the hospital and after? I'm always cold so I'm thinking I will want something a bit heavier for early March. Most of the cute ones I see are the thin, slinky material.

I need to find some maternity work pants already because I don't have buttons to do the hairtie trick with (they're all clasps). But I want pockets. *sad trombone*

I was just considering starting this thread the other day, but didn't get to it, so I'm glad you did! With #1 I wore a uniform to work, so all I had was a handful of pants and 4 tops. Now I WFH, so I'll probably revisit old Navy and make myself a few things. I already made these shorts and I have another pair, some lightweight cardigans, and a flowy dress on my sewing list. I'm going to need links/ pictures of people's favorites since I had so few pieces last time and none were love.

I got lucky with DD1, a friend lent me her entire maternity wardrobe. She had a lot of higher end stuff. Pea in a Pod was probably my favorite, and then some other brands I'd never heard of. Destination Maternity and Pea in a Pod I'd say is definitely worth it. Motherhood can be hit or miss, but I have some full panel jeans that still look new after being worn through two pregnancies.

sailsandstitches I'm so impressed with those shorts! Very cute. I wish I'd inherited my mom's sewing genes.

I'm a yoga pants and t shirt girl and all the nightgown/robe sets look so cute, but I don't know if I'd really be comfortable in a nightgown. Is it way more convenient for nursing and comfortable while recovering from delivery?

They have to check you a bunch but I just pulled down my pants and it was fine. I'll probably wear similar clothes this time

I need this thread. DH and I were just talking about pulling out my maternity stuff this weekend and taking inventory since my pants fit at the beginning of this week and now no longer do. π©. The bloat right now is unreal. I'm probably going to head out this weekend to get some pants for work. I think I had success with H&M an Old Navy last time - neither is that expensive and it held up decently. I am hoping that I don't need to buy too many things this time around but I will need some updated stuff for work since last time I wasn't working in an office.

The gown was nice to have in hospital because they continually check your bleeding while you're there and pants would be a hassle.

In terms of robes, I am team FLANNEL ROBE. So thick, soft, warm... and, IMO, cute in a retro-log cabin type of way. I brought flannel PJs to the hospital last time - button down shirt = easy for nursing. May bring a robe this time...

+1 to liz lange tank tops from target. i bought those last time and was hoping they still carried them.
i am on my 3rd pair of maternity jeans (have returned all!) and getting frustrated. i just feel like they do such weird things with cut and fit. or i guess my body is just weird? i only have one pair from last time, but i think i need another pair because i sah now and probably won't wear the work pants i bought last time. the ones i have are jcrew and i love them, but they stopped making maternity in the last year or so. i have yet to order any from gap because they don't carry in the store anymore and it appears you can only return by mail with their maternity stuff now. i'm just apprehensive about ordering their pants for that reason. anyone have any jeans they love?

polson is there a Destination Maternity near you? They carry different brands so you could try out several varieties in one place. I think Old Navy has Maternity in select stores.

I was annoyed about the only sold online and return by mail too at first. But then I just decided I'd treat my first order like a trip to the dressing room and ordered LOTS of things (some in a few different sizes) and just returned what didn't work. Return shipping was free and it actually kind of worked out because the initial total was sooo high which made MH a little π¬ but then after returns he was π.

polson my ON/Gap (same parent company) says that they don't allow in store returns but I've always been able to do it without anyone saying a word. They do include a preprinted return label though so returns by mail aren't terrible. Like clementine I order in bulk and then return 90% of it.

Gap and Loft are my go-to for maternity work clothing. I am tall and have to get pants in tall/long, so they at least carry those online.
I also have a sprinkling of stuff from ON, Nordstrom, etc. Unfortunately, all of my maternity clothing from last time is summer stuff and this time I'll be huge in winter. I will definitely need to add to my stash.

ASOS online is my first stop for maternity clothes. I love their dresses. Target for plain tops and underwear. ON for yoga pants and shorts. I'm in Australia though so the shipping from the US kills me unless they're having a big sale. I think my yoga pants were $15 and the shipping was like $30. Still cheaper than what I could get in store here.
ASOS has free shipping for over $40 worth of purchase (in Australian $ so less for US).

Has anyone tried the kindred bravely sleep bras? They keep advertising on FB and just look so comfortable. I see Amazon is a lot cheaper than their website, so I'm tempted to pull the trigger.
