Hi, I finally re-discovered where everyone went I was active for a little while on the previous board, then life happened and I kind of did not follow exactly what happened there, but I found you guys! Anyway, I am twohopes, I am 37, and I currently pregnant with a non-viable twin pregnancy that I am waiting to fully miscarry. It has been a wreck of a rollercoaster in the past two weeks. One of the sacs remained empty throughout the ordeal, but one of the babies even had a lovely heartbeat on Monday. It was gone by tomorrow. This was a natural pregnancy. I had one previous miscarriage ( a blighted ovum) in 2013, then a naturally conceived child (my daughter) in 2014, a series of chemical pregnancies and now this. I knew we were at higher risk for loss because my husband has a Robertsonian translocation, and my age and all that. But it still really, really, really, really sucks. The grief is really not a whole lot better than before. We have decided to try IVF with PGS next.

I am so sorry for your loss! A miscarriage is so hard, but I imagine miscarrying a twin pregnancy is that much harder. We ended up doing IVF with PGS, so please feel free to ask me anything if you want. Take care of yourself!

Have you described your story somewhere? What is the best way to contact you?

**TW, LC mentioned**
I chronicled my experience on TCF, but not here. The short version is: tried on our own for a year, six months or so medicated TI, six failed medicated IUIs, two rounds IVF, one without PGS, one with. Total of 8 embryos transferred between 4 transfers. One missed miscarriage at 12 weeks due to Trisomy 21. Second BFP led to our take home babies. Feel free to PM me on here. I am happy to answer any questions about our experience -- I am an open book.

Thank you, hawkward, enchanted ... It is a sad club to be in, but honestly it makes the experience a tiny bit less isolating and lonely. I am just scared from the very immediate future. Here is the short version. Fell pregnant naturally from intercourse on either July 14 or July 15th. Had a positive home test on July 26th and it came back at barely 10, but shot up to 280 4 days later with a doubling time of 29 hours. Went in at what should have been 6 w and 4 days and just saw one big empty sac. I thought it was a blighted ovum again and was devastated. There was also a smaller, emptier sac there that they called an SCH. Two days later, there was an embryo with a barely visible heartbeat. Two days later, a stringer heartbeat. Two days later (I kept spotting, so going back for all these ultrasounds), the heartbeat was gone. That was yesterday. Also, it was apparent that the other area in my uterus was not an SCH but a second sac that was empty because it never developed an embryo. I full know how much worse this could have been. And yet, I grieve and am heartbroken.
