The board was bumping last night after I shut my phone down. Party time! August Blooms thanks for checking in on our PT! We seemed to have worked through the peeing through his clothes problem but we haven't conquered poop yet. Only one poop in the potty all week. We know his cues better so it's my goal to get it right today but I'm constantly thinking a log is about to drop any minute. Today we have the boys pre school physicals and I want to get school shoes too. I'm nervous about too much activity and PT. We had a lot of success w DS1 and putting one of those little potties in our trunk and going before went in someplace so I may do that today. |

riverraine good luck today! Bye bye diapers! We are still doing one at nap and night FYI. He does a potty try right before and then goes right to his crib after the diaper is on.

rebeccabunch, good luck with running errands while PT today! I took a road trip (4.5 hour drive) with DS a week after we started potty training and I was convinced we would regress. I had the potty in the car and I put him in a pull-up just in case. We stopped about 2 hours into the drive and I was expecting the pull-up to be wet. It was completely dry and DS went on the potty. At the four hour mark he told me he had to go potty and we stopped. I was surprised it went so well. We've had challenges and accidents since then, but it was a great first step and made me much more confident. Hope your day goes well, and don't stress if there are accidents.

Heading North today bcuz we bought a camper Im so excited, except I'm super car sick right now which I've never experienced before not sure if it's bcuz Im not driving (which I usually do) or if it's because I'm pregnant or both. Either way I'm hoping to get through it quickly! |

britt Exciting news! Have fun on your trip and I hope the car sickness goes away. Another busy day over here. The day was mainly filled trying to get random stuff done before the weekend so I can chill and relax. Happy plans -- DH and I are trying a new eggless cookie dough recipe tomorrow and I hope this turns out better than our last attempt a few months ago!!! That one was a total let down. I got this new recipe from another HIHer on the toddler board - she makes cookie dough truffles, and gave me the recipe for just the cookie dough filling. She won a bake off contest with these truffles, so I am confident this recipe will be a good one. I will keep you all updated of course - as I'm sure everyone is so invested in my cookie dough obsession!! 😂😅😂 ETA - words

Busy day to start a busy weekend. Working this morning then our dog trainer is coming over before I head to my OB appointment. Our dog needs a "tune up." He's not listening, snatching food from DS and just overall being an ass. He's such a good dog so hopefully this gets him and us back to a good place.
I also need to find time to power clean the house since we are having maternity/family photos tomorrow at the house.

Hey! So happy it's Friday!! Went to the zoo yesterday, and holy moly I'm regretting that decision today. So sore. Picked a ton of tomatoes from the garden yesterday, so I'm making enchilada sauce and marinara sauce with them today. Also working on laundry and cleaning, cause I'm super exciting  |

I have the 2 year well check for DS this morning (almost a month late). I'm expecting a meltdown. Anything that looks like a doctor's office makes him freak out.
I took him with me to Target's minute clinic 2 days ago to get my TDAP since I got off work early. He cried once we went back in the room until I put a video on my phone for him to watch. Then as I got the shot, he stared at me wide-eyed, alternating between looking at my face and the needle. I had to keep telling him that I was fine and everything's OK. Whew.
Almost makes me wonder whether we should have him visit while I'm in the hospital after giving birth, or if it will freak him out more to see mommy in a hospital bed.

TGIF!!!!
H is gone to a fishing tournament until tomorrow. My sprinkle/shower is tomorrow so my mom is coming to spend the night and help get the house ready. I'm getting really excited about the shower tomorrow. Since I know it will just be my 3 closest friends and a few family members, I'm not nervous about being the center of attention in front of a big group (I hated that at my first shower). Plus, I will begin to buy all of the remaining items I need after tomorrow and that's exciting.

rebeccabunch I know the feeling it's like I'm on high alert the entire time I'm around her. riverraine Good luck on day 1! Taitai Link please! (If it works out) @mammabakes Do you have a good recipe for those? I'm more interested in the enchilada sauce, every time I've tried to make it I end up failing. I made the mistake of counting down number of shifts I have left at work. It is seriously affecting my productivity level today. I have a few little projects I need to get done, I'm lacking the motivation to finish them but I don't want to let people down. In my province we have to do an emissions test on older vehicles to get our plate sticker renewed. They send out the reminder 3 months before its due. Guess who forgot to get it done? H is taking the car in tomorrow morning and hopefully it passes so I can go online and renew before the deadline. DNW to get pulled over by the police for a silly sticker.

thatgirlrachel have fun at your shower tomorrow! We officially canceled our travel plans this morning. I don't know how to tell DS we aren't going to Disney next week. We will have to think of somewhere else to take him once all the rain/flooding passes. There's a Legoland Discovery center in Dallas so maybe there?

Morning! I'm officially a month out from my EDD. Yesterday my OB confirmed that she won't let me go over this time (DD1 was born at 41+1), sooooo if this baby doesn't make an appearance by 9/25 then she will be evicted. On one hand it is nice to have an end date, but it makes it all so real! And close! Aaahhh!

I was going to say the same thing chitownsully. My maternity clothes are all getting a bit tight. My booty is in competition with my bump - I'm not sure who is going to win. To add to the above glamorous-ness, my feet and lower legs are so swollen today. They ache. seventythree are we the same person? DS was born at 41+1. I'm due 10/1 but my OB moved my date to 9/25 and I'm afraid she's going to pressure me to be induced this time. Unless there are medical reasons why I need to be induced, I want to keep this baby inside as long as possible, thank-you-very-much. Only time will tell how this will play out. |

CoachTsWife, that's funny! My original EDD was 10/3, so pretty close. I'm okay with induction at 40w if it comes to that, only because this time we have DD to worry about. I definitely wouldn't schedule it earlier (unless medically necessary), but between arranging childcare and family help (I have no family here, and people will be booking flights, so it can't really be a last minute thing), it's nice to be able to say "well this will definitely happen by the last week of September". Of course I know baby can come at any time, but... I'll worry about that if/when it happens.

I'm getting a pedicure. Again. I've gotten more pedis this summer than I have my entire life. But wedding season plus preggo (is, too fat to reach my own toes) and I cheap out on almost everything else, so whatever. Just going to enjoy it while it lasts!

I need to figure out where else to store our Roomba. I've been hiding it under our bed, but Mr. Stinker crawled under there today to turn it on and off and on and off and...
In related news I need to find some toy that moves around when you push a button. I have a truck that'll go forward for a few feet, but he usually skips over that one to get to the button that plays music. (so it's one button, but you push it once to sound like it's turning on, twice to make it go forward, and three times for music)

It's called Beach Pub, and is usually occupied by the over 80 populous of Virginia Beach. This guy though, was fancy AF |
