Oh I have a real confession: M still sleeps with a pacifier and we still let him have bottles before naptime and bedtime when he asks. He's 3 years 5 months old.

I'm on Team Big House and Less Stuff. Firmly. But I'm in a small house (1600 SF with only 5 rooms, not including bathrooms) with less stuff right now and I'm ok with it.

A is currently obsessed with the idea of having a threesome because he thinks it will make me happier.

One year olds are the best After H, I wouldn't have understood this at all. But since M, I do.

I feel like I always think that whatever age my kid currently is, is my favorite age. I'm loving all of 5 month old life right now, and I love about 90% of 3 year old life.
However, I thought J was awesome around 8-9 months, before that he wasn't all that. Ha. That feels so wrong to type out. But he was a needy one. And always sick.

Babies aren't as much fun before that age, when they really start to develop little personalities/quirks and interact more when they are sitting up and moving. I know what you mean, though, I thought I loved 12 months, but 21 months is pretty great, too.

The newborn stage was my favourite. 2-3 months was so sweet, oh gosh, those first gummy smiles.

Now she's acting more like a real baby and it's tougher, ha!

My second kid, my M, was pretty ridiculously terrible at sleeping during the night from 0-3 months. Then a switch flipped, and she nursed a few times but was a good sleeper otherwise. Was mostly SSTN by a year, without stress. WHY ARE THEY ALL SO DIFFERENT WHY ARE PEOPLE SO DIFFERENT WOULDN'T IT BE EASY IF WE HAD ROBOT NIGHT NURSES?

And then he started sleeping again when he learned how to walk and life got better.

I'm dreading going through that exhaustion again when the new baby arrives. I loved the nb stage with L, and the exhaustion didn't hit me too badly bc I had worked nights. I was also able to nap a lot. This time around, I'm not sure how the sleep deprivation will affect me.

I didn't want to love the new Taylor Swift song but I do. It's so damn catchy. I can't stop singing it.

I want to take my sister kids for an extended period of time and reset their eating habits. I don't claim to be perfect or super healthy but OMG. When they were here a few weeks ago, I had what I thought were normal breakfast foods in the house. Eggs, bread, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, etc. My sister asked my BIL to go to the store and get them mini donuts and chocolate milk because they wouldn't eat anything we had. They didn't eat a single vegetable in 5 days. My nephew claims to be "lettuce intolerant" I don't expect perfection and my kid has had his fair share of junk but I want better for them and their futures. Yikes!! I just...I have no words for that.

Please take my kids and teach them to eat vegetables. They just don't eat them, and DH doesn't help because he won't eat them either and throws a fit about them too. There are so many sad wasted vegetables that go through my house.

@criscosalad how old are they? I usually don't judge the parents for kids being picky, but going out to get chocolate milk and donuts instead of serving them one of the many options you had available is next level.
