snoopmommymom I'm sorry things aren't great right now. Did you H go to a dr or chiro for his back, or is he just dealing with it and making everyone miserable? Sorry about the job, but hopefully this will work out and you can continue to look for something else. I was begging him to go to my chiro the past few weeks. He would go once, not feel better immediately then not want to continue. He finally got in to a Dr yesterday. Today he is starting to feel better he said.

snoopmommymom I had been thinking about you too. Sorry everything isn't great right now. Think of this job as a stepping stone to something better, you don't have to be there forever. Hope Z start sleeping...I think my N takes after her, and I'm a walking zombie. I just really wanted to make the switch from education to corporate. With this job I'll be managing 10 people, so hopefully that will translate well when I make another attempt to break into a new sector.

I cannot get myself together this morning. My brain is so full of so many things that I want to get done or really need to get done that I can't focus. I just sat down to have a yogurt and a 2nd cup of coffee to see if it can refocus me.

I'm so sorry @snoop. All of that sounds really frustrating. When do you start your new job?

It's not your dream job, but it's a stepping stone that will add to your resume, and it will get you out of the house. I'm proud of you for putting yourself at there after SAH for awhile--that is tough! Hope things start looking up soon.

Morning. J had a dentist visit and he was a bit surprised that they actually cleaned his teeth (we missed the spring and his first was more of a consult), anywho we survived and he only but the hygienist once 😬. Then I bought the worst cup of coffee ever, I'm so annoyed I want to write a Yelp review over a $2 cup of coffee.
It's move in day at work, so we are encouraged to work remote (even though I'm not directly on campus, but whatever). So j is watching Paw Patrol and N is at daycare. I need to pack for the beach too, wee! Can't wait to put up the out of office 🎉

I'm sorry, snoopmommymom. I had to take a crappy job when I first started working in my industry. FX this is just what you need to get your foot in the door and the position looks good on your resume so you can move into something you prefer pretty quickly.

I'm so sorry @snoop. All of that sounds really frustrating. When do you start your new job? I officially start on the 5th but I'm already doing work from home because the org is super last minute and unorganized. I'm trying to get basic things set up before everybody starts.

I've been browsing online and want to buy all the things this morning. We are waiting to be reimbursed for DH's hotel/car rental for the last 3 weeks (literally thousands of dollars) and a bunch of moving expenses, so I'm trying to be good-ish until the fed cuts us a check.
I started thinking about family pics this morning...need to get that figured out. Also some one year shots for C. I was thinking about trying to combine them but maybe that is just too much for one session.

Morning. I'm working from home and about to head to the chiropractor to hopefully get rid of this week long headache. We're going to veg tonight which is exactly what I need. DH wants to put up a tent and camp with N in the backyard if the weather cooperates.

Cadence got a sticker this morning at school for knowing the month. MH and I both want to know how she knew the month.
She has also recently told me that she thinks her popple is actually some sort of hedgehog. And computer starts with C.
How does she know these things?!?!

Atticus always knows the exact date because they go over it every morning. Sometimes he says it weird though, like "today is August 21 or today is 21 August" instead of "today is August 21st."

Today is C's last day of summer camp. Monday starts the school year again which means no more swimming. I'm a little sad about that because he has done so good. I may do swim lessons this winter. C also told me this morning that next week he will be a "yellow grouper". He will not be in the yellow group because they are holding him back. He was pretty upset about it even though we talked about it a lot before. I let his teacher know he may have a hard time with that. Especially since his bestie is moving up. They all still play together in the afternoon but those two are hard to separate.

I'm not sure. They have a new curriculum this go round. I know they have been putting up new posters, calendars, and stuff, so perhaps they have mentioned the month, etc, while putting them up.

I'm sorry snoopmommymom, but I think looking at it as a stepping stone is a great way to proceed. Change is hard (coming from someone stuck in a decent - but dead end - job).

I just bought it. Somewhat related: Dude has hardly been eating all of a sudden at school and is coming home starving. I thought maybe he was just distracted in his new class but all his teachers seem to think he's eating fine. They suggested that I pack too much and maybe he feels overwhelmed with choices? I send the same amount I always have and there have definitely been times he has almost finished everything. So here's a sample, tell me if you think this is crazy overpacking (he's there for 9 hours): - 2 veggies - 2 fruits - a pouch - his "main course" which is anything from "chicken" nuggets, PBJ, quesadilla, spaghetti, etc. - one random snack like pretzels, animal crackers, etc. - milk and water

I'm also trying to score tickets this morning, but certainly not to Garth Brooks.
Glassjaw tickets go on sale at 10 and I'm going to move on those so fast. My BFF said he wants to go and o think one of Pete's college friends will come with us too.

I don't even want to think about how Colin will react next year if all his friends leave for kindergarten and we hold him back. Blerg.

Maybe they could offer less at the same time? For example, at 10 he can chose a veggie or a fruit, the random snack at 4 etc.
