Thanks for the check in specter !! QOTW: We went to a friends wedding in Hawaii. It was beautiful and way over the top with organized flash mob dancing. They had different food stations right on the ocean and a professional filmographer to document the whole weekend we were all there. It was a very fun time but a bit exhausting. I will be 12 weeks tomorrow. I am feeling so much better. Nausea is almost gone, headaches have eased up and I feel more productive lately. Evenings are definitely worse than mornings though. I am more tired and less interested in food. We have an appointment Thursday to test for birth defects. I am looking forward to hearing and seeing them to ease my stress. It has been a few weeks and I am a bit anxious not knowing if everything is going ok in there.

specter thanks for the check-in! Dogpaddle29, wow, what a wedding! I'm glad you're feeling better. Hoping for a great appointment for you Thursday. AFM, I missed last week because I was in low beta limbo, but, I had my first ultrasound today and everything looked great! One baby boy measuring exactly on dates at 7 weeks with a HB of 152 BPM. Feeling pretty good which is a huge contrast with my pregnancy with E where I was deathly ill for 20 weeks. Please let it continue! E is just about 19 months and still my favorite little thing ever. We were at the beach last week in vacation and had so much fun with her. I curled my hair for work yesterday and she touched it and said "mama go on date?" Apparently the only time I do my hair is for dates 😂 QOTW: we went to an amazing wedding at the Four Seasons in Maui. Reception was at Spago, yummm

J is 3 months old. I can't believe she's getting so big. She started daycare this week, the semester starts on Monday. I cried like a baby from the parking lot to the classroom and back. She's only going 2-3 days a week, but I'm really going to miss my baby. DH and I have decided to request the grading for our frozen embryos. We have 7 left, all boys. I can't believe we are thinking about doing this again so soon. QOTW: Hands down craziest wedding...the bride got a crab/pubic lice in her eye at her bachelorette party the night before. The crab came off the crotch of the stripper she had at her party. When the groom found out the next day he went ballistic and wanted to cancel the wedding. They ended up getting married 4 hours after the wedding was supposed to start. And the bride was wearing an eye patch. Insane! DH and I still talk about this wedding.

Thanks for checking in specter! I'm 32 weeks, 3 days, feeling pretty good, and next appointment is 9/6. QOTW: the most outrageous wedding I've been to was a cousins wedding in NY. It was beautiful. They had doves. I would go into all of the details but it literally was an all day thing. Long story short, the ceremony was at 10:30, 2 hour break for pictures, at the cocktail hour they had the entire length of the wall filled with food, ie lobster, steak, etc. When the bride and groom made their entrance at the reception, they came down from the ceiling. For dinner was maybe 30 minutes in between courses. The dessert was served at around 11:30, and then they ordered hundreds of white castle for everyone. because why not. We didn't stop eating all night. I don't even want to know the cost of that night.

QOTW: Not so much unusual as it was rude. Summer wedding outside and it was HOT and HUMID. They did have ice water available, but we showed up for pictures (extended family) and they were running so far behind as the couple did every Pinterest item they could find (couch in a field) wooden wall with picture frames, the whole nine yards. My sister had to go nurse the twins so the large family photo is missing my sister, BIL, Mom and the twins. I was holding my oldest nephew. The wedding started late (again, we are all sitting in the hot sun with no shade) and after the ceremony we traveled to the reception side. They took TWO AND A HALF HOURS of additional pictures with no cocktail hour, we were sitting in the hall (with little air conditioning because it was not working properly) staring at each other. My parents were at a different table so DH, me and my sister and her family were in a back corner trying to keep a 2 year old and 6 month old twins occupied. They were so late my sister and her family left because they had to feed the kids and get them to bed. Pizza was for dinner, which I didn't judge at first because it was my favorite hometown pizza and I thought it would be a buffet style. It was not buffet. They had wait staff (family friends) bring around plates with two small pieces of pizza and 2 liters of pop with no ice. They were so late the pizza was pretty much room temperature and the pop was hot. This couple paid to have a photographer and videographer come in from out of state but couldn't be bothered to feed and host their guests. They were way too worried about having a Pinterest perfect wedding and to have "amazing" pictures to worry about everything else. Our side of the family still judges them hard for their poor decisions (which still continue to this day).
I'm 17 weeks now and feeling great. Our MFM check in last week went well and the doctor is pretty confident we are having a perfectly healthy little girl. This week we emptied out the closet in the nursery, took down the old shelf, patched the walls, painted the closet and installed new shelving (Closet Maid, nothing too fancy) so it had more storage options. Next up is hanging some roman shades and curtains before focus turns to DH's 40th birthday bash next weekend at our house.

ttcbabyj and codex320 in here with back to back stories of polar opposite weddings. I am a little in shock by both of them.

Hi ladies. Thanks for the check-in. I hope all is well with everyone! nikiswims, so excited to see your news!! Everything is moving along smoothly for us these days. The twins are 22 months now (20 adjusted) and are a lot of fun most of the time -- when not giving us a preview of the Terrible Twos. Baby Girl is getting so big! Toward the top of the charts in height for her actual age -- but still pretty scrawny. 24 month pants work great for length, but even 18 month sized threaten to fall off her little hips. Makes dressing her a challenge sometimes. Her vocabulary increases daily. You can almost carry on a read conversation with her now, which is fun. And she is getting good at telling us what she wants, which is handy. She has recently been picking up on hand motions for songs like Twinkle twinkle little star that they sing at daycare and it is just too adorable to watch! Baby boy is doing well, too, all things considered. We are still working on oral eating, but the last week or two has been a struggle. He has a bit of a cold, which does not help, but mostly it is an attitude thing -- eating takes effort and tube feeding doesn't. He is a stubborn little thing, that's for sure. He is still tiny -- a good 3 inches and 4 pounds smaller than sis. Doctors are concerned about his growth again... But he is so active, always moving, running, wrestling with sis, you name it. Overall, he is doing really well! His vocab is increasing, too. Edited to add: Our remaining embryos have been on my mind a lot lately. We have 9 frosties left -- 2 tested normal blasts and 7 untested. I turn 40 on my next birthday. We are unsure whether to try for a third or not. We are both open to the idea, but our son's medical complications are still a bit overwhelming and we aren't sure throwing another baby into the mix right now is a good idea (our marriage is already strained enough), but, as mentioned, 40 is looming. Not sure what I want out of mentioning this... Just something I have been thinking about/struggling with recently and no one I know in real life has any idea what this process is like. No one understands... QOTW: I have never been to a wedding really out there, but I would have to say 2 college friends would tie for oddest I have been to. One was the wedding a girl from a very wealthy family. The reception was potluck and her family brought mismatched plates from home for service. Nothing wrong with it, I suppose (and frugality is undoubtedly part of why they still have the family money), it was a nice, low-key event... If a bit odd. The other was a Quaker wedding. The groom (my friend) was not Quaker, but bride was. Quaker weddings involve guests sharing stories about the couple as part of the ceremony. None of grooms friends or family were Quaker, so were unprepared/uncomfortable with that part and basically told no stories. Bride's friends and family shared LOTS of stories about her from childhood on. It was so one-sided, my friend basically got left out at his own wedding. Don't know how he felt about it, but I thought it quite odd.
