Cracker eating alert: Sil is bragging that her baby (1.5ish months) is giving her 7 hour stretches at night. But he's still sleeping in the vibrating napper/bassinet attachment of the pnp (had been in the mammaroo until recently). As a 1st time mom I remember that phase when they start sleeping and you think it's amazing...and then it all goes to hell. Have fun with getting him to sleep in the crib. And that sleep regression that will happen right as you go back to work. But I'll just nod my head while thinking:

Haha she definitely has it coming Lakes! Speaking of sleep, M has been up every night for weeks due to a cold and then traveling. Last night we were home and I was not up for that game at 4am. 15 minutes of crying later and we all slept until our alarm clocks! But I'm still wiped. It is both my Monday and Friday at work so let's see how much I can cram in! And I'm hosting book club tonight so should probably figure out some food to pick up for that.

Lakes, bless her heart. Is this like when my friend told me her baby loves long car trips and airplane travel since he was like 3 weeks old? carrots, Yay for some much needed sleep! We are getting ready for a little weekend trip today but I will probably try and get the girls out to a park. R is so funny she has been getting in the mix with her sister at the park, crawling all over and climbing the toys. Everyone is on the upswing from the summer cold so should be a good day.

Nothing too exciting has been going on. We are getting better sleep here which is nice. It's just an emotional week.

Evidently my life is all fwp, cracker eating grumblings today. Mil asked me if we were going down to the shore for Labor Day because sil's inlaws are visiting and she doesn't know what to do with them so sil wants to take them to the shore. But there'd still be a room for us if we went.
Um. We've only been going down Labor Day weekend for years for mh's birthday. Normally we have people over for a party, it is known. No thank you to sharing a bedroom with the kids, or the place with sil and her inlaws, on his birthday weekend. Grumbles.

Hi for the first time in who-knows-how-long.
Had a busy, but lovely weekend. Then I was up at 3 am on Monday to head out for a work trip. Got home yesterday evening. Most of my pumped milk made it back... except for the 4 ounces that leaked out of a bag that I didn't fully close... and through the cooler and onto almost every article of clothing I'd packed. Womp womp.
I'm so exhausted. I kinda want to leave work early and go home and sleep. but I really really need to go the gym and I know I'll be mad at myself if I don't.
Tomorrow is my work from home day this week, and we can check out early on Fridays. Sadly, we're having an unseasonably cool August and it's only going to be 76 tomorrow. Which isn't ideal swimming weather...

B wanted to party at 4:30 this morning. No thanks, buddy.
My work-free week hasn't been as productive as I envisioned it would be, but I still feel more relaxed than I usually do. Today I really want to get through organizing my closet and dresser and finish the roman shades I was sewing.

Hola senoritas.
I go back to work next week and I hope that means I'll be able to play more during the day. I'm at a stupid training right now. I have applied to about five jobs during the presentations. I am also in serious denial that I am returning to work. I really enjoyed SAH.

Smile and nod Lakes, smile and nod lol. I love this gif so I'm quoting it. Time off is never as productive as one hopes. It's an awful adult catch-22. Boo.
