Age: 4
Milestones: Moving to pre-K on Monday!
Challenges: Listening. Dear Lord... It's like her ears aren't even turned on.
Funny/cute stories: We went on vacation and she got to pick out one thing to buy with her piggy bank money. She picked a pink sloth stuffed animal (overpriced at $12). She loooooved it. She keeps saying, "Oh, Mama, I just knew I wanted something pink and beautiful!"
How are you? Exhausted.
Anything else? I'm ready for the summer chaos to end.
QOTW: Yes? LOL I'm growing out a super-short undercut and long-on-top look, so right now I wear it 'down' every day, but I tuck my 6" bags out of my face with a braid or twist and bobby pins. I'm SOOOO ready for this shaggy mess to grow out.

Age: 2.5 Milestones: Nothing really new. Challenges: I DON'T WANT TO! is still probably the most commonly heard phrase in our house. And a lot of times, he really does want to do whatever it is... Funny/cute stories: Yesterday H and DS1 were wrestling around like they do, and DS2 literally threw himself onto H to help DS1 out. No one messes with his brother but him! How are you? Good but busy! Now that we're back to school, we have something going on almost every evening, so I've been getting up at 5 AM to go running and do some yoga for the "me" time. Getting up that early is rough but worth it. QOTW: I always braid my hair after I shower. So if I've showered that morning, it's braided. If I've showered the night before, it's in a pony tail because the braid rarely lasts overnight.

Age: Approaching 2.75 months
Milestones: Practically potty trained...good when at home/babysitters and we can leave him either naked or with shorts on. He will use potty without being asked. Haven't really tried being out in public for too long. I have a long commute so he wears a pull up in the car and usually won't use unless asleep. Still overnight diapers at night.
Challenges: I think a couple of recent changes have affected his bedtime-gotten difficult to put in crib without hysterics and will stay awake a while. Not only has he been potty training, his main babysitter is no longer able to watch him, and he seems to sense something is different there.
Funny/cute stories: He has taken to ordering his meals at restaurants-asked for blueberry pancakes and sausage the other day. Then at a deli, the guy asked me,"What can I get for you?" He answered,"You can get me chocolate milk and a banana, please!"
How are you? Doing good.
Anything else? This is my least favorite time of year...een though I don't mind fall, I get kinda down when school starts. Fall means allergies, leaves changing and winter coming. Just always seems sad.
QOTW: On the daily, is your hair up or down? Pony tail or messy bun. I hardly have reason to be out together well, so brushing it is a rare occurrence.

Age: 4
Milestones: about to start pre-k
Challenges: his attitude has been horrible lately. Anything not going his way results in a full out fit. Even though I don't give in to the fits. I'm hoping he'll soon realize the fits don't actually change anything, because the attitude is making me nuts.
Funny/cute stories: I go to the gym 3-4x a week and he is always excited to go. He'll say "yay the gym is the best place". Hopefully he'll still feel that way for a while.
How are you? Doing good I guess. A little tired and low.
Anything else? Not that I can think of.
QOTW: On the daily, is your hair up or down?Up.

Age: 2
Milestones: he is playing pretend more which is super cute.
Challenges: he started therapy on Monday and he is also in the very frustrating stage of begging for something, I figure out what he wants, offer it to him only to have him yell no. Then I put it back and he starts fussing for it all over again. Makes me want to pull my hair out.
Funny/cute stories: he still loves to play peek-a-boo which I find adorable.
How are you? A little stressed about his oral, sensory and slight developmental delays.
Anything else? Not much.
QOTW: On the daily, is your hair up or down? Previously answered.
