August Blooms how's your DD doing w PT at daycare? We started with wearing shorts again yesterday and everything went south. I knew it was too good to be true. When he's naked, he's got it. Wearing clothes (not undies) just shorts, is a challenge.

My cat woke me up at 4 am today to the sound of breaking glass. Fortunately it was a mug I had broken yesterday, so he actually didn't break anything new. I had left the big pieces on the counter, on top of a box I have been meaning to take out to the garbage and hadn't gotten around to it.
Anyway, thankfully it was ceramic and doesn't shatter the way glass does so it was easy to pick up.

rebeccabunch DS did really well while naked too, and then had a few accidents once we put him commando in shorts. It's a learning curve for sure. cythe Sorry for the 4am wake up. Ugh. DS has been fascinated with my bump this week. He keeps asking to "see the baby" and then he kisses the bump to see if he can get the baby to move. He also still likes putting lotion on the "baby" - but I think that part is more due to the fact that the loves the smell of my special pumpkin spice lotion from America. DH also taught DS to say, "Heyyyy brother..." to my bump, just like how Buster says it in Arrested Development. I just about died laughing.

Taitai MH would tell your son to "just tap her belly button" to make baby move. I keep telling him that's not how it works, but I'll be damned if it doesn't work 9 times out of 10 for H.

Meaning to ask you, when your kitty had dental surgery did you administer the pain meds? I did with one of my cats that surgery a couple months back. My other kitty had dental Surgery Monday and they told me to have H give the meds. I was really careful washing my hands when I did it but now I'm worried.

I wonder what their concern was? I wasn't advised against giving any meds or to avoid getting scratched or anything. Do your cats go outside at all?

Crap. I think I have a yeast infection. I started taking probiotics to help with the third tri constipation (and I was strep B positive last time - so I took them with DD too to prepare for delivery) and BAM. It's been a week and I finally picked up some meds today. Aren't probiotics supposed to help in that department though? I'm so pissed (and so uncomfortable).

In less TMI news, I picked up chips, ice cream and cookies during my trip to the drug store. So, winning?

rebeccabunch She did well yesterday, they put a diaper on her during nap time and that's when she pooped and then when they took them outside in the afternoon she had a pee accident. We had an accident this morning too. I should have put her on the potty first thing. I found that with DD on day 2 that pants or undies were making it harder for her so we went naked again for the rest of that day and day 3. Hopefully he has a good day today! Gap has a decent sale right now, it's making me want to buy all the baby things. Yoga tonight, I'm looking forward to a good stretch.

MH started a new job on Monday and got word that he needs to be in France for a week in Sept. I'll be 35 weeks. The thought of wrangling my monster 2 yo all week alone is already too much to think about. I have to block it out. I knew he had to travel, but was hoping they could hold it off until after baby was born

August Blooms and rebeccabunch, I'm officially joining you in PT land this weekend. We've got a 3 day weekend and then he's going to his backup daycare because his normal place is closed for summer break. I feel kind of bad about that, but it's really the only time we can do it before baby, so... hopefully the daycare teachers can drink wine at the end of the day since I can't.

Also, work bitch. I've got 8ish weeks left and they keep PILING NEW WORK ON MY PLATE instead of letting me clear it off and clean things up before I leave. Why?

Well I gave a couple tasks to test to the new guy and, ugh. There was something we found and I told him it was probably related to something else AND that we worked on it a little this week, so I would double check it. He kept saying, "OK so this a new bug" and I had to tell him several times that it was fine and how we figure out of it's new or related. I almost feel bad for the guys. Almost.

rachydc that's rough. Handling a toddler solo for a week blows to begin with. At 35 weeks? No thank you. I'm hanging out at the old house today. I met with one painting company, and a second is coming at 12:30. We have to get this work done so the house can be reinspected and the final loan approval before we close next Wednesday. Send all the vibes we can get this d9ne in 7 days.

I don't remember 8 more weeks seeming so long last time around. I'm half tempted to start potty training for something else to focus on, but we spend all day in the basement and all the bathrooms are upstairs. It's hard enough for me to get myself up them a million times a day. I don't think i can carry the 2 year old up them for multiple potty trips

So an old client contacted me and want me to do some work and I agreed. It's nothing new or big and luckily no deadlines so I'm excited. I also volunteered to do some work for my BFF whom just started her own law practice and I need to get moving with a small project for my BIL; unfortunately both pro-bono but it's ok and I can work it into taxes! just excited to get my "hands dirty" again with no real deadlines albeit really in 5 wks but no real pressure so it will be ok. It'll just be challenging to not have chunkc of time I can concentrate on and without a proper work space will be a wee unpleasant.

Same over here, DS has been kissing and saying good night to baby in the belly for the last 3 months now every night. 😍 I melt.

riverraine, bummer about work thrown at you like that. Not quite the same but I remember when I quit one of my jobs, I gave a month notice due to wanting to wrap up a project I was working on, my boss gave me a couple more to finish before I exited! I was Iike huh! No! I'm done with working weekends and not sleeping for days anymore which is why I'm quitting you moron! It was good nuff that I stayed long enough to finish my project but don't take advantage of me!

I let the toddler walk by himself (no stroller) at the zoo today for the first time. It went surprisingly well! He lasted about an hour without any meltdowns and then I had to carry him through about half the zoo to the exit. I'm still a little shocked!

I'm so not jealous of those of you potty training!! DS just turned 2 this week, but I'm putting it off until probably after the holidays.
Storytime and grocery shopping this morning, now relaxing at home. It's supposed to be cooler tomorrow, so I think we'll head to the zoo!

I guess I'm the only one wanting time to slow down? I do not know where the time has gone and I cannot believe we're ~5-6 weeks out from being a family of 4....!! We're ready, I just can't believe it is so close.

Hey hey! Haven't posted in a while, DS and I were visiting my mom for a few days. I've managed to get all of baby girl's clothes washed and put away, and even got a little go bag started with a few things to bring with to the hospital. Only 6 weeks left to go after tomorrow! It feels like the time is going by quicker this time around.
