Hi! I'm eating a yogurt and not sharing with G. Her teacher is here so they are doing her ABA so I get to eat in peace. 😂 My bff is coming down from PA today. We are going to lunch and maybe the zoo later. I have felt baby move a bit today which always makes me happy.

All the PT ladies, my DS2 was doing great until we put shorts on him yesterday and the accidents started. I'm firm, we keep practicing taking them off, big brother shows him, trying every 30 mins but he's now had 3 accidents. I know it was never going to be accident free BUT anyone successfully combat this problem?
I think it's the whole Shorts feel like a diaper security thing. We aren't doing underwear. I need to find my book! I should just buy a new one. It's worth the $13.

marygracerich, you said G is in speech right? Dylan just had an evaluation and they think she will qualify but I wasn't sure what actually happens when they have someone come to your house. Do they just play with her and work on language skills? Not sure when she started but DD just turned 2.

Good morning! We are in frustrating potty land over here. We did commando for a month and now we are introducing panties and DD is not having it. She pees in them about 20% of the time. When she's bottomless she does great, like 100% success unless there are extenuating circumstances. She's got to wear undies eventually though, right? So I'm pushing through and just venting about it to my online friends.
She will be starting school in the fall 3 mornings a week so I'm taking her to drop in childcare at the gym today to "practice" drop off. I'm trying to decide whether I should do errands or eat sushi during my "free time". I might have to get the sushi to go but I know I'd be more worried about listeria and all if I did that. Boo.

Good morning everyone! Is this week going soooo slow for anyone else?
We leave for Disney next week and I am sooo excited! I am worried about keeping up though. I'm normally a pretty active person, a really fast walker, etc. but I feel like I get out of breath or worn out so easily now. It's embarrassing sometimes! I hope with all the heat and humidity and walking there I don't get too tired (or DH doesn't get too tired of waiting for me to catch up! Lol)

marygracerich, you said G is in speech right? Dylan just had an evaluation and they think she will qualify but I wasn't sure what actually happens when they have someone come to your house. Do they just play with her and work on language skills? Not sure when she started but DD just turned 2. That's basically it! When I had G evaluated it was just for speech. It turns out she was showing signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder so she is getting a lot of services from EI. The dr that did her final evaluation thinks that maybe it's not a true diagnosis because it's so slight but who knows. She will be reevaluated in November. G qualified for the maximum amount of services. She is getting 20 hours of ABA therapy to help with her ASD and to catch her up with other kids. As of September she will be getting 10 of those hours in a center and 10 at home. She gets 3 sessions of speech therapy per week at a half hour per session. This is to help her vocabulary and pronunciation. She also gets two sessions of occupational therapy to help with her fine motor skills. He pincer grasp isn't quite where it needs to be. Since D is only getting speech, they will pair you up with a therapist that will fit with your schedule. They will play with your LO but it's all language based so it helps. Don't ask me how they do it, but it works! It takes a little for kids to warm up to them but after that initial few sessions, your kid should love playing with the therapist. If after a few weeks you feel they don't get along, you can request a different therapist. I thought we were going to have to do that but she has now warmed up to him. G started her services at 25 months. It's been almost two months and she is like a different child! She talks so much now and she is associating things together that she never did before. She is also counting a little and knows shapes and animals. It's amazing. She is starting at the center on the 5th and her teacher thinks she is going to be ahead of the other kids. She has made amazing progress. I could not be happier with her progress. Sorry this has been very very long. I am just so excited that she is progressing. I hope D loves it as much as G does.

How is it only Wednesday? I had Monday off which is supposed to make the week shorter instead of longer...
I need to run out to Home Depot during lunch to get more paint to finish painting the nursery closet. I also need a stud finder (ours quit working) so we can hopefully hang the nursery closet shelving tonight. I need to get all the stuff back in the closet and out of the middle of the floor. I had forgotten how many hand me downs (especially baby gear) I had stuffed into that closet!

I have to take DS in today for his 4 year immunizations since he couldn't get it at his original checkup due to the antibiotics he was on. So him and I will have a little drive together as H offered to take DD to work for a bit while we are gone.
And 19 weeks yesterday in lazy mom clothes! Poof

HAHAAHHAHA Solidarity sister. Also jynx you owe me a coke. Get out! When I read your post I thought it was in response to mine. Dealing with the same thing over here. Anyone remember what Oh Crap Potty Training says about this? I think she says to go back a block and figure out where the problem is. But I'm clear where the problem is I just don't know how to fix it! So I'm going to try to push through this week. Just insist on undies every minute she's awake and see if we can make any progress. Yesterday she had 2 pee accidents (though one was because she was just having trouble getting her pants down) and one poop accident (which I'm actually thrilled about because she has just been pooping at night). Today she's already had one pee in her panties. I just don't know what to say to her when she has an accident. She usually announces it, "pee!" when she has an accident. I ask her where pee goes and she says, "in the potty". I give her a sad look and tell her we need to take her panties off because she peed in them. I don't want to shame her and I'm pretty anti rewards/punishments, but I'm not sure what I'm doing is correct.

I'm jealous of everyone's bumps... I'm 17 weeks and due to belly fat I don't even look pregnant...
I think I started showing around 20 weeks with Ava, but I was also 20 pounds heavier so I was hoping to show earlier this time around... I guess I need to focus on the benefit that I can still sleep in my normal position and I'm not waking myself up to roll over yet...

Hi, ladies! I've kind of fallen off the face of the earth with everything lately. DD was sick and now I'm sick (allergies) and miserable. Work has been so busy and cutting into my HIH time. I took my first bump pic this morning and I'm 16w2d. I finally got rid of my regular clothes and graduated to maternity clothes, which I'm totally cool with because comfy pants 24/7. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well! Off to catch up on past posts!

pinkcat, I think you'll be OK. We just got back from a busy trip to Iceland with lots of hiking and stuff...I just had to be sure to stay hydrated and go slow and take breaks to pace myself. It wasn't hot there though so definitely pay attention to the hydration like a crazy person! Oh and I was on steroids for poison ivy which probably didn't hurt...j/k they were really short term and maybe had some effect on my energy but we also had some jet lag going on so I think it all balanced out.

FFWC: speaking of our trip....I ate a lot of lunch meat sandwiches from grocery stores. Womp womp. This is apparently what I do, travel when pregnant and eat suspect food. We did a trip to Latin America when I was pregnant with E and I did drink the juice from the guy making it on his bike and eat the street food.
We made it back from our trip! Like I said in my other post, it went well but I did have to go a bit slower overall. I also had to be careful with bathing in the hot springs and stuff but we had a blast. We all woke up by 5am this morning but I'm hoping that maybe we'll stay on an earlier schedule (both earlier to bed and earlier to wake up but maybe not 5am early) because I have to start work on Monday! Back to school! Are there any other teachers here? I'm guessing some of you are already back...we start late this year.

I'm a teacher as well. I also start back on Monday. I'm worried since I still don't feel very well... I dealt with first tri at school when I was pregnant with E and with a couple of miscarriages...it is definitely rough. For me, frequent snacking helped if you can manage it. (I know it can be tough depending on your schedule!) Also, having someone on hand to cover your class in case you need to run and puke in the bathroom....ugh. What do you teach? I'm a high school Spanish teacher.

I dealt with first tri with my son too, but I'm not sure if this pregnancy is worse, or if the Zofran I took them worked way better then the vitamin b6 and unison I'm on now. Maybe I'll be okay once I'm in a routine and second tri starts next Wednesday.

Hey! I have my a/s in a couple hours so yay for that but I just had the most terrible dream that we got there and the baby passed away on the screen. Ugh I hate pregnancy dreams. I've felt a few tiny movements since I've woken up but still. Not cool brain. Sometimes at the end of the day I have a bit of a bump and since i haven't gained any weight yet it's mostly just flabby tummy from my last pregnancy hopefully soon I'll get a decent bump!

TW: micro preemie mentioned I just saw a 25 weeker in the NICU. It is so weird to think that that baby is only a little over a month "older" than mine.

Well today's been fun.
Possible TW:
I was playing with ds this morning and I stood up and realized my underwear and pj pants were pretty wet even though I hadn't felt anything. I changed underwear and put a pantyliner on to see and didn't get anything else. I ended up calling the doctor because twins and I knew I wouldn't relax. He was fairly certain it was pee but had me come in anyway. It was just pee.
Glad it wasn't anything major but a little less stress would be nice lol
