I just need to make it through today and tomorrow at work before I am on vacation.
Kindergarten orientation is tonight. Kids are not allowed, so DD is staying the night at the IL's. Thankfully she didn't seem too upset about it this morning. Sometimes she gets in a funk and does not want to be at their house.

So funny thing happened today. I went to the board of ed to bitch about DS not getting a ride on the bus since we saw a bus pass our house this morning & I walk out with a job offer. It's just to be put on the sub list after I do xyz which include renewing my license but I'm still laughing at how that turned out since the lady & I were kind of spatting at each other & I literally thought like wow, this is really gonna eff my chances at a job & she is the admin to the superintendent who does the jobs.
Turns out she recognized my name & totally switched the convo to jobs.
Who wants to write a short "I recommend namaste to work for you"?? They just need it on file. She said it's really not a big deal. Could be a friend/neighbor but I really have nobody to do it on a short notice!!!

My kid has discovered the weird videos on YouTube where people open things. I don't understand the appeal but it allowed me to get a short work out in.

DD used to watch them all the time. She still does sometimes when she is at the IL's but I am rarely subjected to them these days. |

It's for admin assistant, parapro, & monitor throughout the school district. She said that there's not a lot of people that can do all 3 & it's a great way to get my foot in the door since she knows I've applied for a bunch of jobs in the past few years so I guess we shall see! |

It's seriously so crazy how today turned out. I had originally thought today was going to be easy breezy & I'm scrambling around doing stuff thinking I may just actually be employed soon. W.H.O.A.

Also when we brought DS to school (DH went to work late today for it), they just let parents be spectators for the 1st & 2nd graders. I was kind of disappointed by that. Just because they're in first grade doesn't mean they're professional students. I still wanna see them go to class dammit! So the way they do it is meet in the front courtyard & walk inside & that was it. I guess they just make the exception for kindergarten since it's kindergarten.
It was weird just seeing him walk away. :/

Nothing new here. Just crafting away for my classroom and getting set up. Preschool is so much work but so worth it. I'm loving how it's all coming together this year. My 3rd year in my current school and I just love it. DS is loving 4th grade so no complaints here.
We do have soccer tonight but it's a gorgeous day for it!

We're on vacation! We made it up north with minimal crankiness even though DS wound up not really napping in the car like we thought he would, and our AirBNB worked out great! Of course we got here just as it got chilly, but I'm sure we'll still have fun - DS already had fun today just playing in the sand and jumping in the shallow part of the waves |
