I can't take any anti-inflammatory meds ever and that helps me sometimes. Not sure if you you can do pregnant though

I went to Sheetz and got 2 soft pretzels and a candy bar.
Spoiler: I don't need two but, you know, I was hungry when ordering so....
And I had a good, healthy balanced lunch! I shouldn't be this starved.

easternshoregirl, sorry about the shin splints! Using a foam roller might help. Also, tracing the alphabet with your toes is a good strengthening exercise for your shins.

Good Afternoon Ladies!
This morning was a shit show. C woke up at 6 because he had to pee and I told him he could just get up for the day. He was excited about that. About 15 minutes later he said his ear hurt so I put drops in his ear and had him lay down for a bit. Then about 30 minutes later he decided he was scared to go to Kindergarten today. I tried telling him his friends would be there, that we would get ice cream tonight, that we could have his friend over tonight to play on the play set, I even asked if he wanted to take something small in his backpack that would make him feel better. Nothing worked. H said he had recovered by the time they got to daycare, but seriously, no good pictures this morning. A few of him cuddled up with his blanket sitting beside his first day sign and then some of his back while walking to the car. Hoping he will be a little more cooperative when he gets home and I can get some good pictures.
Also, tell me I'm not a crap mom for making him to daycare before and after school on his first day. Should I have gone to pick him up and take him out to lunch?!

Whoa, mrspiatt, what the heck happened at your place? I'm glad you had such a great trip, welcome back! Friday the ceiling in the dining room bubbled and started leaking. Turns out there was a pin hole in a pipe. Then due to the age of the house they did asbestos and lead testing- it came back positive for asbestos... we can't use the kitchen and can't really go in the dining room. They're 2 machines running 24 hours a day, both really loud. 1 is a dehumidifier to help dry out the ceiling and walls and the other is an air scrubber. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170823/742cd5e402578300de8c0adbc0dae5c2.jpg)

fierymama everyday after this one will be easier. Had you done what you said, taken him on his first day, picked him up for lunch, would make the real first day of following the routine harder. KWIM?

jedi - I do. I mean, he pretty much has had the same routine with daycare. Only difference now is he goes to daycare in the AM, rides the bus to school, gets back to daycare before lunch and then stays there the rest of the day (yay for 1/2 day K).

Hey guys! We have been slammed over here. H took a 4 day weekend so we could go see the eclipse in totality on Monday. We rode a train there and back and W loved every minute of it. Then on Tuesday we had a just us celebration and when I brought in his cupcake with the candles he said "woah" in awe. Pretty cool. He also held a lizard we found near breakfast. He was super gentle and it stayed on his hand for a second because he was calm. 😊❤ Our big party is Sunday and I am doing so much cleaning and organization but I'll try to get on here during breaks.

Oh boy, do those pictures look familiar. Unfortunately, I don't have any miracle tips. We spent a lot of time upstairs (away from the mitigation stuff) trying to entertain a cranky toddler who wanted to be downstairs. Also going to the library, hanging out at friends, and basically being miserable with having all that crap & people in the house. I cried more than a few times. Just remember, it will end. Eventually. And I know its a pain with it having to take so long to make sure they get everything, but its really important. Our guys kinda rushed the job, and I'm still scrubbing/brushing off dust from things from the work that was done (but we didn't have asbestos issues, just possible mold). Anyway, you have my sympathy!

Yesterday, I actually felt somewhat normal and was able to get a whole bunch of stuff done that I haven't been able to for the last few weeks. Today? Back to feeling crappy. Bah humbug.
There was a notification that one of our coworkers passed away in the early morning. I think it was suicide (they never specify details in cases like that). I didn't know him--he was a brand new rookie that worked out of a different station, but it still stings when that happens. I was feeling pretty sorry for myself before I heard the news (just lots of stupid things, mostly work-related issues)---that certainly snapped me out of it. Hug your loved ones.

girlonabike, it's definitely upsetting to get news like that about a colleague, and definitely puts a lot in perspective. T&Ps to his family.

Oh my freakin god...I decided to clean my oven tonight. It turned out beautifully (ashamed to say I haven't cleaned it in....lets just say a long time!). But once done, I realized there was gunk somehow in between the glass door. So I inspected it and saw two little screws. I just thought I will take a little peak and see if I can get in there. Well I got in there alright! Cleaned it up (was nasty), but then I couldn't get the damn thing back together! TWO tiny screws!!! I am home alone and for a brief moment of panic I contemplated pricing out a new stove! Lol...after about an hour or so of trying to fit it back together, I was finally able to figure it out.
Tl;dr...don't ever clean your stove. Hire a cleaner or buy a new one...lol

Fuck this week. So much bullshit all at once...kicker was wasps chewed a hole in the dining room ceiling and started pouring into the house. Cue me going into full on hysterics for twenty minutes. The image will give me nightmares I'm sure. HOA are making us get rid of our sheep. Not sure if they even have grounds, but my husband doesn't want the confrontation/to drag it out. I hate all of our neighbors now. Hates them, precious. I had to resign from leadership of our local moms group because it's headed by a bigot. I live in a tiny town and there are no other groups. I'm having contractions like crazy. I just need to make it to September 10th, when I hit 36 weeks and can deliver safely at my local hospital.

I got the pictures back from A's party that my cousin took. Out of 116 pictures, there are 2 that I like. 2. That's it. I mean, I get it. She's a busy toddler and never stops moving but you can at least try to get her to look at the camera. And a lot of them are not in focus or the sun was creating a nasty glare. I really am disappointed. My cousin did such a nice job last year.. This year she just seemed to not care or was in lala land. I do pay her, too. .. Eh.. I guess I'll just be happy with what I got

Made the mistake of posting an item on Facebook for free. 35 messages later and I am marking it sold. If the 2nd in line doesn't get it tomorrow, I am giving it to someone I know. Also, how do people not read because I updated it to PPU almost immediately!
