Brought to you by mine and DH's discussion about food for E and A's bday party on Saturday. Main dishes will be fried chicken and pulled pork sliders.
What do you like in your pasta salad? Meat/no meat? Cheese? Type of noodle? Veggies? Anything special?
Share your fav recipe if you have one.

I like some crunch in my pasta salad. Spiraly noodles and an Italian dressing, with cheese, little carrot chunks, radishes, olives.

I'm lazy and love the boxed Suddenly Salad. I add diced chicken and feta. Yum.
The only downside is it's $3/box at the big name stores around here, but only $1/box at WinCo.

My mom always makes it with the colored spiral noodles, broccoli, and sliced olives and uses ranch mix mixed with mayo for the dressing. I really like it that way, but it has to be warm. I can't do cold noodles.

My favorite during the summer is chopped up shallot, garlic, cherry tomatoes, basil, kalamata olives, a handful of capers, salt pepper olive oil and a splash of balsamic vinegar. Dump hot pasta in and it kind of cooks everything. It's good warm or cold. Now that I'm thinking about it I might have to make it tonight.

I like some crunch in my pasta salad. Spiraly noodles and an Italian dressing, with cheese, little carrot chunks, radishes, olives. This except I sub grape tomatoes for the olives.

I don't really like the tricolor noodles, the plain taste and look better. I like a good orzo salad with cucumber, tomato, feta, herbs, olives. Traditional pasta salad is good, too, with the spiral noodles or penne and chopped up veggies and cheese and maybe some salami. Not a huge fan of adding pepperoni or bacon. I prefer vinaigrette to creamy dressing.

I'm not a fan of any meat on my pasta salad. Other than that, I love it all.

I like a Caesar pasta salad. Bow tie pasta, grape tomato, streamed string beans, shaved Parmesan and Caesar vineagarette I've never had it like this before. That sounds delicious though!

I'm not a fan of any meat on my pasta salad. Other than that, I love it all. Yeah me too, I can tolerate salami or pepperoni but usually pick it out. My MIL makes pasta salad with tuna and that makes me very sad, because YUCK. I can't eat that.

Y'all, stop with all the olives in the pasta salad. Eww.
My favorite is to sauté some onions and chicken, add some garlic and frozen peas and season with oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Mix in with rotini pasta and a little olive oil. It's good warm or cold.
There is also a super yummy one at our grocery store with penne, mozzarella cheese chunks, grape tomatoes, diced pancetta, and creamy Italian dressing. Delicious.
