I'm a stay at home wife with no kids, so I have a lot of free time on my hands, lol. I want to get into some sort of craft/hobby that's simple for a beginner but also something that I could potentially sell! What do you guys suggest?

You could make wreaths. They're pretty simple but you can make them more complicated as you get better.
Get a sewing machine. It takes practice but you have tons of options for things you can make.
I taught myself to crochet and have sold a lot of my work.

Making tutus is super easy! There are a bunch of tutorials online. Basically, you get either tulle off the bolt or in roll form and cut it into strips that are double the length (plus a couple of inches) of the tutu want to make, and take some wide satin ribbon or elastic and tie it around a pillow. Then, just fold the strips in half and loop-tie them onto the ribbon until you have a tutu as wide as you want. For a denser tutu, just scrunch the rows of tied tulle together so you can fit more. Then just tie the tutu on with a ribbon or sew the ends of the elastic together and tie more tulle over the ends to hide it. You can also use a similar technique to make wreaths using tulle and a styrofoam ring.
