If we've left you off the check-in, or if you'd like to be added or removed, please let us know! This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF or FET. Please don’t hesitate to use this check-in for IVF/FET info and support even if you’re not currently cycling. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle. Everyone is welcome. Also, please update us along the way! Asterisks will appear by your name if you do not update us in a check-in. After four consecutive asterisks (2 weeks), you will be removed from the list. Guys. I am so sorry I didn't post this yesterday. I have been taking a break from the boards and totally forgot about it.
AFM, AF came Thursday. Baseline was Friday and I started BCP on Saturday for FET prep. I have my endometrial scratch :shudder: on 09/07. FET should be in the first two weeks of October.
QOTW: DH took the afternoon off and we went outside periodically to watch it. It was way too hot to sit outside the whole time. We saw 85% here in Florida though, but it was still pretty cool to see.

babyhopes Yes we are doing FET. That is good to know! I have seen people talking about E2 levels here and I wasn't really sure of their importance was. My RE mentioned it was low for our last FET but that is because I didn't take any estrogen pills. I am hoping having my levels higher for this transfer helps but we shall see. I have an US and blood work scheduled for this Saturday. If all looks good then I will start PIO (AHHH!! someone talk me off the ledge with this one!) on Sunday and targeting a transfer for probably Friday 9/1.

babyhopes, good luck with the BCP and the endometrial scratch! Hope the latter is as painless as possible jense927, exciting to have a target date for transfer! AFM, got a call from the RE's nurse that DH's sample yesterday looked good, so yay for that - DH has issues with not always ejaculating when he orgasms, so the combination of that and the obvious pressure with IVF led the RE to have him give a sample yesterday that is now frozen and awaiting IVF. DH will still try to give a fresh sample, but it takes a huge weight off of him knowing that we have a back up supply ready to use. He was also NOT thrilled with the room for his part - it was basically a handicap bathroom with a chair and a stack of magazines in the corner. He would have preferred to at least not have a toilet right there! QOTW: I had court at 3 and the peak time was 2:35pm where I am, so I popped outside with a bunch of coworkers to check it out with my fancy glasses We were 90% coverage, and it was shocking how bright it still was outside - I expected it to get darker than it did.

babyhopes, Good luck with your scratch. If my hysteroscopy looks clear on the 8th, I'll be doing my transfer about the same time. jense927, GL with PIO! It scares me so much but I figure it's worth it if it works. daisy818, Yay for everything looking good. Sounds like you're off to a good start. Almost done with estrogen/progesterone! I scheduled my hysteroscopy today so as long as that looks clear (FX, I do not want to do surgery again), we should be able to do an early October transfer! QOTW: I watched it with a bunch of middle schoolers. We were at 92% so I was hoping it would be more dramatic but it really wasn't that dark. I think my favorite part was reading their 6 word memoirs about it today.

I start OPKs today. Yay? I normally O late, but they were specific about wanting me to start on CD8. I have wondfos so it's not a big deal, just seems a little silly right now.
I watched the eclipse from one of the campuses I teach at -- just a bit further north than my house, and the physics department was supposed to be doing a presentation. Well, it was actually very poorly planned, somehow they didn't actually have mics for the professors who were talking. But, I got to watch most of the progress through a pinhole viewer, then saw just after the peak (92%) through the glasses.

Hey guys! I finally have the day off today so I'm checking in to see how you guys are doing.
Okay, so remember when I said that we had coverage leftover and we were going to cycle again in October? LOLNO. No we don't. And no we won't. We maxed out after one cycle. I'm feeling rather defeated on this front after all I endured for that coverage.
I am applying to different jobs with companies with guaranteed coverage, but again it won't happen overnight. It'll put the brakes on us even longer this time.
I need to have a chat with my RE to see what he thinks we should do. He'll be honest with me. We have 2 frozen morulas (not blasts) but the thing is that we've already transferred 4 with no success. I'm feeling like we need at least 4 frozen and really for success odds more like 6 frozen. Anyhow. Apparently I ain't got nuttin but time these days so I'll get it figured out.
QOTW: I slept thru it 😂 I opened at 4 that day (well every day) and came home at noon to sit down to work at my computer and the next thing I know 😴

Just waiting to get started with our new RE next month. Hopefully we can get started right away with IVF. I'm going to the appointment with ALL of my IF records in hand with a current US and blood work. Not wasting any time. I went outside at work with 2 sheets of X-ray paper and looked- it was really cool

Argh, I waited all afternoon for my nurse to call (we're supposed to touch base about a few things for my upcoming cycle) and she finally calls while I'm in the bathroom to do an OPK. And of course the call back number takes me to the monitoring voicemail, so I have no idea if she'll actually get it before she leaves. Grrr. We don't normally have a hard time connecting but this last week or so we keep missing each other on the phone and it's frustrating.

Disney was great! I'm exhausted. Now I'm diving headfirst into studying for the BCBA exam, so I likely won't be checking in much until I take the exam in November. Still trucking along here, trying to figure out the insurance coverage for the PGD probe. Hopefully we have an appt set up soon with our RE to go over the plan for the cycle over the winter!
QOTW: We were in the car for day 2 driving back from FL during the eclipse, so we missed it since a) we had no glasses, b) we were driving, and c) it was on top of the car. It was hard to tell what was eclipse coverage vs. cloud cover, even though we were just past DC at the time of the eclipse.

I loved the eclipse. I took my seniors outside for th hour before peak (our school supplied the glasses), then went home and watched it with my DH.

Hey guys, sorry I dropped the ball on getting Thursday's check in up. This week has been really hectic, and I've been feeling somewhat nauseous again when looking at screens. I was having that issue when I first restarted DHEA, but it had pretty much gone away until this week. Not sure what's up, but it seems manageable if I don't spend too much time on the computer. Hopefully it will get better again, it's not fun feel dizzy from computer work!
