If you're like 29 weeks pregnant and start leaking milk, is that normal? Is there anything you can do?
My friend doesn't want to live like this for 11 weeks.

Yes normal, and surprised "they" made it that long without leaking. Wear breast pads?

Sadly, normal. Tell "your friend" she'll probably need to wear breast pads.

Normal. I really liked the Bamboobies reusable pads. They were really soft and could get thrown in the wash.

Yes, it's normal. It happened to me a couple of times with DD1. But it wasn't constant, I just woke up with a wet shirt a few times.

It's normal. Please tell your friend it came and went for me while I was still pregnant, so there's hope that she won't be leaking consistently the rest of her pregnancy.

Tell your friend to go shopping. I have a hunch it will lift her spirits.

Normal and prayers to your friend if she ever happens to hear a crying newborn in the next 11 weeks. Being on bedrest on the maternity ward for the last 5 weeks of my pregnancy was a constant letdown.
SWIDT?

Definitely normal. Heck I got mastitis when pregnant with my first. It sucked.

FWIW I leaked for a while and then it stopped around 32ish weeks, so maybe it's just another short phase. This was my case as well. And then I leaked until a month after I stopped nursing. Tell your friend to get some reusable nursing pads, Cher

Also I was really worried I would leak so much that the colostrum stage would be over before I had my baby and my baby would miss out on supercalafragalistic colostrum. False. Not a thing. Your friend will still make colostrum for the baby, it is the baby who signals the breasts to switch from colostrum to milk production with their nursing.

Another vote for bamboobies. Much softer and more comfortable than the disposable pads.

Here to add more anecdotal evidence that leaking can come and go before delivery. Mine did.

I remember this complaint in my BMB. It never happened to me, because I have production problems.

Happened to me right around 32 weeks. It mostly only happened after I got out of the shower. The hot water made them leak.

Yes, normal. Bamboobies ftw. And wash them daily so she doesn't smell like sour milk!

Your "friend" has my sympathies. Leaking is the worst and breast pads are annoying.

Happened dramatically around 30 weeks, but only twice, then never again until after baby arrived. Sending wishes that your friend has a similar experience
