I usually check in on Wednesday, but in an effort to hijjack because of the eclipse.... First text message this morning was from one of my Mexican girlfriends (sorry guys - I'm not PC) saying that per her mom I needed to wear a safety pin on my underwear to protect the baby from birth defects because of the eclipse. Well at work, not one of the things that I keep handy. It's ok though, another one of my co-workers brought me a safety pin today. LOL. Crisis averted

How far along are you? 25w
How big is baby? An acorn squash. Last dr appointment they thought about 1.5 lbs.
Any upcoming appointments this week? None
Any new symptoms or changes? Not really. He has really active days and quiet days. He still sits pretty low compared to his brother so I feel him in different ways.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? Last week of summer vacation. 😢 I sent N to daycare today so he can get back into that routine. I have the house to myself which is awesome but I have no motivation to do anything productive. I always feel so guilty when I send him to daycare when I am home.. It only happens once in a while and its good for him. But mom guilt is there.
Watching the eclipse or no? Not really. I'll look for it online around 2:30 EST and I have my door open to see the change in light outside. But Maine isn't really anywhere near where the eclipse will be so it's not much of a big deal for me.

How far along are you? 23w2d
How big is baby? Mango
Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope. Next week
Any new symptoms or changes? My hips are so sore
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I'm at that weird point between appts where my PGAL brain is bad. I feel like movements have lessened the last few days. I haven't gained much, so I'm wondering if the baby isn't thriving. I have no real reason to worry about a late loss, but I can't shake it. Next Wed can't come soon enough.
Watching the eclipse or no? I watched online. Spared my eyes. Plus it was only a 70% one here so watching the full eclipse was cool.

Movement doesn't get reliable and they don't start recommending kick counts until third tri. I've had many a doctor tell me this pregnancy that movement is unreliable until about 28 weeks because there is so much fluid in there versus the size of the baby so we don't feel everything. In other words, it's too early to worry about this (I know, easier said than done). Trust me though that I'll be telling everyone to do their kick counts once we get to third tri though.

How far along are you? 21 weeks, 5 days
How big is baby? Carrot
Any upcoming appointments this week? Nothing until Sept. 7
Any new symptoms or changes? Nope
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? We leave for Disney tomorrow. I never announced my pregnancy, might try a cute one when we are there.
Watching the eclipse or no? On TV. We were a 70% area. Besides seeing my neighbor holding some black screen over his face, I could have not even known anything was happening.

How big is baby? A stalk of corn on the cob.
Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope.
Any new symptoms or changes? Not really. Tired and not excited about going back to work. Mainly because it means waking up super early.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I'm getting a lot of the "how are you feeling?" Complete with the head bob of concern. I know people are trying to be nice, but I'd rather not talk about it.
Watching the eclipse or no? No, I took a nap. Worth it.

sarahandben108 I get the feelings of guilt, but I hope you enjoy your day while YS is at daycare. I may or may not have checked my kids school calendar and compared it with mine to see if I have any of those days before this kid is born.

How far along are you? 25+3
How big is baby? Friday the baby was 1 pound 11 oz and up to the 47th percentile. Someone had a growth spurt.
Any upcoming appointments this week? Not until the week of Labor Day now.
Any new symptoms or changes? I'm just tired and fighting constipation still. My OB said I should probably try napping more since I'm not sleeping too well at night so I might try to sneak out of work early for awhile. No one else is there after 4:30 anyway. 🤷♀️
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I'm also getting the "how are you feeling" question a lot. And belly grabs have started at church.
Watching the eclipse or no? I went outside and borrowed a coworkers glasses. We were at 99.25% so it was pretty neat. It got a little darker and the temperature dropped. A lot of people were outside and the big companies posted parties on social media (moon pies and Sunkist). The next one has us in direct path so it should be fun. It's crazy that this kid will be 6 when the next one comes through.

How far along are you? 25,4.....only 12-13 to go!
How big is baby? A big gulp. Almost to the 3rd trimester. 85% viability. Yay!
Any upcoming appointments this week? Sept. 6th.
Any new symptoms or changes? Just sore. I have to watch what I eat, especially in the evening or I regret it in the form of heartburn or puking.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? It's kind of nice knowing my end date is 39 weeks. Very different than being told on a Wed at 36.5 weeks, that they are inducing on Monday. Surprise!
Watching the eclipse or no? I did, have pics. Don't worry thought....my fetus didn't look directly at the sun.

rooskie, I always nap on weekends when my toddler naps. Usually in her chair where I'm actually pretty comfy. sarahandben108, I enjoy taking days off when DD still goes to DC. It's actually how we take dates, since a baby sitter ran us 100 bucks for 4 hours and we have no family around. I have paid leave and I already pay DC. So lunch dates it is! jrun2013, I'm not excited for school to start b/c traffic is so much here during the school year. ldubhawksfan, my weight gain always comes in waves. And movement is still really inconsistent. Hugs. kim22, have fun at Disney!

But my daycare provider is private and we only pay for the days he goes. Cheap too. So, I don't have to send him anytime I don't want to. But I'm sure if I was paying either way he would go more on my days off.

How far along are you? 25 weeks, 4 days How big is baby? According to kensie5226 a Big Gulp. Is it weird that makes me thirsty? Any upcoming appointments this week? Not until 9/7 for 1 hr glucose Any new symptoms or changes? Nope Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I had a bit of an emotional breakdown the other night. I tend to shove my anxieties down deep and then let them out all in one go, which is fun for MH. This time is was just random pregnancy fears- fear of late term loss, fear of dying in childbirth, fear that DS will hate his life and us after baby arrives. Good times. Luckily getting it all out seems to have helped. Watching the eclipse or no? A co- worker and I watched for a little bit sharing her glasses. It was pretty cool.

How far along are you? 22w
How big is baby? Corn on the cob
Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope
Any new symptoms or changes? No changes. Still battling heartburn, sore hips and knees (although a pillow inbetween my knees at night has helped), and all of the emoshuns. E head butted me the other night and it hurt but for some reason it led to the hard cry, then hard laugh, and back round to the hard cry. My poor H just stared at me the whole time...
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I made my first purchase for this baby (besides clothes) and I am getting really excited now! I ordered the Puj Tub. Our bathroom is so effing tiny that the tub that we had for E will not store anywhere nicely. Now I can stand up and bathe baby in the kitchen sink while theoretically watching the snow fall in the backyard. This is my plan dammit. hahaha
Watching the eclipse or no? Newp

veganontuesdays the hormones and emotions are crazy. N head butted me in the throat by accident and I cried for 10 minutes. Then another day, when I battled N to get into the bathtub (3.5), I got pretty in his face from frustration. Not my best moment but he became so sweet and loving after and I cried after he went to bed because I felt like such shit for yelling at him. Also, I CANNOT watch any movies that have tragedies and babies at the same time. I completely lose it!

How far along are you? 25 weeks
How big is baby? a bag of microwave popcorn
Any upcoming appointments this week? nope
Any new symptoms or changes? I'm suddenly feeling very heavy and sluggish. Wondering if it's because they told me my weight gain # at last week's appointment, and it's affected my perception (I was kind of shocked)? My boobs have grown from AA to a full B, and when I wear dresses my thigh rub feels totally different. I was happy to have my bump, but now that pregnancy has taken over everything - my upper arms, my face - I'm not as anxious to show off!
In other news, baby kicks remain both a thrill and a source of anxiety. For a few days I'll get super duper strong, see-from-the-outside kicks, and then I'll have a day (like yesterday) when I can hardly even detect a flutter. On those quiet days I get so worried, and I am fixated on trying to feel something. I wish I could just trust this pregnancy.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? We secured a spot at a day care over the weekend!! We will be broke as hell but it's done!
Watching the eclipse or no? I didn't...enjoyed a few moments of a nice quiet office while everyone else went outside.

sarahandben108 , ldubhawksfan I replied before reading the thread - count me in to the movement anxiety club. Hearing that others feel the same thing make is seem so less threatening.

BlahBlahGinger , veganontuesdays Maybe its the eclipse that's making it "cry over everything" week? I'm still battling this cold/sinus infection, and my preferred way of coping involves hysterical sobbing for 5 minute periods of total self-pity. Then, I'm good for a few hours.

How big is baby? Ovia says corn on the cob, the bump says coconut and the dr says 22cm/450gr!
Any upcoming appointments this week? Finally had the anatomy scan and everything is normal! I feel so relieved, I was a sweaty mess in the waiting room.
Any new symptoms or changes? Constipation is worse.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? So happy to have had the scan so we can now go on holiday with some peace of mind!
Watching the eclipse or no? It was not happening here.

ldubhawksfan - I'm sure I'll join you in the anxiety once the relief from the scan wears off but we just watched baby girl do flips, kicks and karate chops and I couldn't feel a thing so I really wouldn't focus on movement too much!

sarahandben108, veganontuesdays, oh man yeah. We're car shopping so I can actually fit 2 kids in my car and we had a really crappy experience at Kia dealership. And we had DD with us. When we got in the car I lost it and started sobbing. No real reason, just overstressed. DD was patting my hand and trying to make me laugh. So sweet which just made me cry harder.

Add me to the gigantic boob club. Last time I didn't need to buy any bras. This time I barely fit in my regular ones. I did find nursing tanks much more comfortable after N was born, so I'm hoping it will be the same this time around. I have a bunch of tanks still and won't need to buy any.

How far along are you? 23w4d
How big is baby? Spaghetti Squash
Any upcoming appointments this week? Growth scan on Monday!
Any new symptoms or changes? Not really, my pants sure are getting tight!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I'm slightly nervous about the growth scan. It seems routine enough but my doctor scheduled it after seeing my anatomy scan results. She only said that we're measuring a bit big but I was super surprised that she scheduled a growth scan for just being a "bit big". I'm also not sure if she means I am measuring big or the baby is measuring big. I'm sure it's fine but I'm nervous!
Watching the eclipse or no? Yes! I was in the path and it was awesome. DH came and watched it at my work with me and I loved it!

Lol, no. I was pretty hefty when I started this pregnancy so I have two fat rolls. My top fat is growing into my second fat and they are merging into one fat. 😂 The bottom of my maternity pants (the non stretchy part) is now starting to get too tight. Does that make sense, lol? These are my favorite maternity jeans though so I'm just dealing with it!

How far along are you? 23w4d
How big is baby? Grapefruit
Any upcoming appointments this week? Checkup on Thursday.
Any new symptoms or changes? I'm still not feeling much movement, but I see this has been covered already here. Looking forward to the appt on Wednesday to put my mind at ease.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I feel like I don't have much to say lately so I haven't been around here much. Just feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything that needs to happen before this LO arrives.
Watching the eclipse or no? I didn't watch. Some of my coworkers ran outside for a bit, but it was pretty cloudy so I don't think they saw much.
