jubilantsquirrel that's awesome! Thanks for sharing. It's going to happen here at 2:36. Just partial but whatever. I don't have glasses so I'll have to stay inside. I guess it's going to feel like dusk or dinner time. So it's acceptable to start drinking then, right? I think it got to 92% here. It felt weird outside. There aren't any clouds in the sky, so the darkness didn't make sense. It wasn't super dark, but definitely noticeable and out of place, if that makes sense. It also got really chilly. I know a bunch of people who went down to OR to be in the path of totality, I bet it feels really weird there.

I love that you're drinking already. I'm still at work for another 83 minutes. You plan for your drinks like I plan for my lunches. I like it.

So let's plan a N'16 GTG at my house. Our kids will be 7. Wow!

I just Googled the 2024 one and apparently there's one in 2023 from California to Texas as well that will cause a "ring of fire" because the moon won't be big enough to completely block out the entire sun. There's also going to be another one in 2045 from Northern California to FL that is supposed to be even more impressive than today's because the moon will block out the sun completely for 6 minutes. And apparently will be the longest total solar eclipse experienced anywhere in the world until 2114

Even crazier is how they're able to launch a rocket towards Pluto and it goes exactly where they expect 20 years later.

Of course C went down for a nap now. This is the one time that I hope he only takes his typical 45 minute nap so he doesn't miss his first eclipse. Of course I'm not letting him look at it but I was going to take a picture of him outside in the dark (in a safe place like behind a tree).

Well C slept through it but it wasn't very exciting here (only 80%). The clouds started rolling in right before and we didn't get the darkness. I peaked at it while the clouds were over the sun so that was kinda cool.

Hola! It was really overcast here so we didn't get to see much, but the eclipse peaked through a few times enough for me to say that I saw it. Back to pretending to do stuff at work until it's time to leave.

It didn't get pitch black but it was like dusk right before it does get pitch black so strange! Outside of totality looking at tree shadows was my favorite.

Y'all I am tipsy. I had *one* glass of wine and I cannot stop giggling.
The warden (aka B) keeps popping in to see if I've gotten his beach ball blown up yet. Spoiler alert: no progress, because I keep snort-laughing.

Does anyone know if I can get a martini on the plane? We got stuck in traffic so I'll be lucky to make my flight...

Also the eclipse was the most anticlimactic thing ever here. #unpopularopinion? Accurate. Little Shop of Horrors had me believing that it'd get very dark and creepy. It was not. And if you don't know what Little Shop of Horrors is, go hide. It's a classic.

I'm here & I'm cold. It's 73. Lol.
My parents asked if I wanted to sit outside to eat. Nope. My nipples can currently cut glass, if anyone was curious.
