Not quite yet. I just put them in the oven, but i am so so excited because they are the first non lactation brownies I've made in 2 years. Ghirardelli mix does make the best lactation brownies if anyone needs them in coming months though. Recipe? Pretty please? What do you add to make them for lactation? Last time for lactation my LC made me take the motherlove supplements. The store was always out of the pills, so I got the drops. They were the most god-awful tasting things imaginable. I need brownies in my life! riograndevalley.citymomsblog.com/2015/01/21/lactation-brownies/ When my supply started dropping around 9 months so i was having a hard time getting 12 ounces to send to day care i would eat 2 of these a day and i took fenugreek. It worked, and i didn't want to die like i was out of brownies and just mixed the brewers yeast in with juice.

I got a crock pot as a bridal shower gift when I got married almost 6 years ago and have never used it. A friend of mine shared a recipe for slow cooker mac and cheese a few days ago, and apparently that's all this pregnant lady needed to finally open up the crock pot. My friend really liked it so I hope mine turns out! Though I don't often meet a mac and cheese I don't like.

Eclipse Day was all the kids worried about at school. We were somewhere like 92% for coverage but it was cloudy so I only got to see glimpses when the sun was out.
DDs daycare assured all parents the kids were kept indoors all day today with blinds closed. Ummm... thanks? DDs outdoor recess time is like 9:00am. Pretty sure my 2 year old, who has no idea what today is despite rocking a sweet space shirt, was probably never in danger... sometimes I roll my eyes hard at them but they are wonderful with DD so whatever.
However, our little town should be in the path of totality come 2024 so that will be kind of cool since my girls will be elementary age by then.

Underwhelming eclipse experience here, it was cloudy over our part of Chicago so we couldn't really see much. I think MH and I each spent 15 seconds with the eclipse glasses (purchased by MIL), said "meh", and went back inside.

I went outside during the max 72% coverage here, it was weird like there was too much smog in the air, which we have a bit of, it was kind of yellow tinge to everything.
In non eclipse related news my midwife called with my ultrasound results from last week, it's more or less guaranteed I'll be diagnosed with IUGR. I have to go for another ultrasound at 32 weeks (so next week) and if they notice a change for the worse then I'm officially IUGR diagnosis. There's nothing really to be done about it except monitor at this point and from what I'm reading I may be induced early. If anyone has any IUGR stories I'm all ears.

We were in the part of totality but I didn't see anything at all thanks to the clouds. It got really dark and the street lights came on. Because of the thunderstorm I didn't go outside, but I heard from others in different parts of town that evening frogs were out and crickets were chirping. It was also lightening during totality too. Here's my awesome view (with 20 minutes to go) compared to a friend about 10 miles away.

August Blooms I know nothing about IUGR but ((hugs)). The internet can be a scary place so don't spiral too much, sane all those questions for your midwife or OB or whoever.

August Blooms , I'm pretty sure one or two of the moms in my Aug15 BMB have had babies with IUGR. If I remember correctly, they had some NICU time involved but the babies are doing just fine now. I can't provide specifics myself but if I can remember who dealt with it I can see if I can connect you to them. ETA: mommabakes - do you remember who had it from A15?

I most likely had it with DD and never knew and she turned out a little on the small side but is just fine. I started looking up stuff online and promptly stopped. I go for another ultrasound next week and plan on taking it one appointment at a time at this point. arimaythea That would be great, thanks!

August Blooms I'm sorry about the IUGR, but I do have an anecdote from a friend of mine that had it. Her doctors really freaked her out about it and did a ton of monitoring, but everything turned out totally fine. She had her baby at 37 weeks and the baby was small, but no NICU time needed. Her toddler is now a totally normal, rambunctious smarty pants - nobody would ever know there were any issues with her gestation. I'm glad you're staying away from Google too. 🤗 Hugs.

Our weird eclipse moment was that DS woke up crying from his nap exactly when we hit peak eclipse coverage. My mom was able to get him back to sleep but the timing of that was just so weird. He has blackout curtains and the lighting outside didn't change much really since we weren't in a 100% totality zone. This is so weird because so did DD, but I didn't realize it until I read this! .. I thought at the time it was weird because it was earlier then she usually wakes up but didn't put the possible connection until now!!! Weirdddddddd
