5k on the trail this morning. I’m glad I was able to head out on it again, since we should be getting heavy rain this week.

First day of 4am wake ups. Yawn. Got in 4 miles for day 100 though so it's a big win for me.

Got out on the trail last night for a short run (1.4 mile). Started out later than I meant to (the sun was setting) and I did not bring a headlamp, but it ended up being ok. Almost stepped on a toad, but didn't. Saw a deer butt and a few fireflies. All in all, 10/10 would do again.

I got in 5.25 miles this morning. Could have squeezed out six but I snoozed my alarm and it cost me the last bit of time since it was already after 5am when I stopped. Oh well, still a good run!

I basically got a double in yesterday- I did a mile on the treadmill during my lunch, then another 2.6 (also treadmill) in the evening. I'm on track for 500 miles this year if I keep at it. I'm pretty proud, b/c I had a serious drop in mileage for like 3 or 4 months and didn't think I was going to make it. But after the run streak, I realized that if I re-dedicated myself to it, it would be doable. I've got less than 200 miles to go- and as long as I get in 2.5 miles five times a week, I'll go over my goal!

I slept in this morning. Reacclimating to a 4am workout followed by teaching all day is going to take some work. I did come home, grab the double BOB, run the 1.5 miles to the girl's school to get them then run us home. It's exactly 1.5 miles so it makes a perfect 3 mile round trip run.

3.25 with Littlest in the single BOB. I accidentally discarded my workout instead of saving it, but I knew my distance and finish time so I was able to manually enter it. Annoying.

DH and I took DD on her first 5km walk/jog and she did great. We are doing the Disneyland Paris 5km in two weeks and I am excited. The fact that I have to do the 10km and the half marathon is worrying but these aren’t races to PR so I’ll survive.

1.5 miles in during a failed nap. I wanted to go longer but shin splints and blisters were killing me.

I did 2.75 at the park Tuesday night and 1.75 on the trail last night. Remembered to bring my headlamp for that, but didn't need it after all.

DH got me two running shorts for my birthday earlier in the week so I tried one out today and it was actually pretty comfy. The second one has some short shorts so wonder if I will chafe, will test on the weekend.

2.6 miles before lunch today. Mh and I are doing a mud run in the morning. I think it’s 5k length. Edit: scratch that, just checked- it’s 5 miles and 30 obstacles.

So, we didn’t really run much of the course, but omg my upper body is exceptionally sore. Even the muscles on the front of my ribs! We all agreed that we’ll do it again next year, but really train for it.

I was scheduled for jury duty today but was dismissed, so I ended up getting a 5k on the trail followed by some strength training (on the boys ones that aren’t sore lol).

I've been sick but I've still managed to keep my streak alive at 1.5 miles, 1 mile, and 2 miles respectively over the weekend and this morning. I'm feeling like I'm on the upswing though now.

I got another 5k done during lunch. I'm pretty proud of myself. Yesterday I really didn't want to run and wasn't feeling it for about the first mile (which is crazy, b/c I've never felt like that on the trail) but then finished feeling good, and with more than I bargained myself with at the start. And today I was a little like "meh" about going during lunch, told myself to just do like 2 or so to stay on track for the year-end goal. By mile 2 I was like, well, let's go for 2.5. At 2.4 I was like "might as well go for a 5k, since I'm already out and sweaty."

We just got back from a trip last night and it's been a month of rest for my foot, so I wanted to go out for a short trial run today. But with all the catch up from being away, I only had a 30 minute window from 12:30 to 1, so it was a very hot and sticky 4k. BUT my foot didn't hurt during or after!

Busy packing for my running weekend. It is the Disneyland Paris 36km challenge so Friday evening I am doing the 5km with DD and DH, Saturday morning the 10km and Sunday the 21km 😬 Training was ok except the last few weeks but luckily this is not the event where you do a PB, you enjoy the atmosphere, take pics with the characters along the route. And get lots of medals and shirts. I am excited but booked leave for Monday since I will probably walk like a duck.
