Age: 2.5
Milestones: Nothing new, still making leaps and bounds with speech. I guess he did figure out pedaling this week. He's a bit young for it so I was surprised.
Challenges: NO! I DON'T WANT TO! NO! I DON'T LIKE IT!
Funny/cute stories: We went to a parade a few weeks ago, and the kids still have a huge bag of candy from it. This morning, he sneaked a pack of gummy worms and quickly licked as many of them as possible so he wouldn't have to share. After he finished the frantic licking, he smiled at me and said "mama, I'm good!"
How are you? Good! Down 90 lb now and we just got off vacation so I'm still in that mode. DS1 starts school and soccer tomorrow, so life is about to get a lot busier soon.
Anything else? Nope!
QOTW: Best pasta shape? Rotini. All the ridges hold in the sauce nicely.

enchanted - I'm so sorry for your loss. hawkward - Congrats on the weight loss! That's incredible! Age: 4 Milestones: Nothing new 'round these parts. Challenges: Listening lately. And trying to cry to get her way. LMAO, okay... no. Funny/cute stories: She told me she loves bagels, but only with bagel frosting. Cream cheese, kiddo. You mean cream cheese LOL How are you? Okay. Ready for summer to be over so we can *hopefully* slow down around here. Anything else? Today is my Friday. I'm off tomorrow b/c C's DC is closed and I have to get ready for the beach. We leave Friday morning. I'm both excited (yay, beach!) and not-so-excited (I'll be solo parenting J from Friday through Monday, and I'm not thrilled about having a 6MO at the beach for two days). FX it goes smoothly. QOTW: Spaghetti rigati. I like long noodles, but these have ridges to hold sauce.

I get so sad this time of year-school starting, shorter days, allergy season. QOTW: Best pasta shape? Spaghetti all the way! Although I do like bow-ties with tuna, parsley and red pepper flakes.

enchanted I'm so sorry about your loss. Also my two year old constantly harasses his older brother. DS1 is also really good at not hitting back, but it makes me furious. I'm so tired of R hitting A and then A whining about it. Which isn't fair to A, but I can't stand whining. eliz77 fingers crossed for easy and quick potty training! hawkward that is super amazing!! I'm supposed to lose 70lbs and it sucks. You are an inspiration! oldbaylover1024 I hope the beach trip goes well.

Age: 4
Milestones: still mostly experimenting with new vocabulary words.
Challenges: he has being pretty defiant lately and has had quite the temper.
Funny/cute stories: he got it in his head when we went to visit his Grandma the other day that we just had to stop at the store to get her favorite drink. Which was partially annoying because I had to drag two small kids out of the car to just buy a drink but he was so incredibly proud to give it to his Grandma so it was worth it.
How are you? Okay. Dealing with headaches from cutting out sugar.
Anything else? Not much.
QOTW: Best pasta shape? Penne!

Age: 2
Milestones: he is also just spitting out new words all the time.
Challenges: he is in full blown 2 year old horribleness. I'm so done with the whining, crying, fits, fighting naps, "no I don't want it, YES I WANT IT, NO I DON'T WANT IT" stuff.
Funny/cute stories: he figured out how to call my mother on Snapchat, I didn't even know that was a possibility. My kid is already doing that "mom doesn't get technology" thing and he is only 2.
How are you? Pretty good-ish. Ask me again when I've adjusted to the sugar free life.
Anything else? His OT finally called. Insurance only approved one visit a week and OT is expensive out of pocket so we're going to see how 1 visit a week will help before decided whether to pay for additional services. He starts on Monday.
QOTW: Best pasta shape? I like bow tie pretty well too. It's the second best shape.
