Week has been okay so far. DS has been at camp all day. Yesterday when I pried & asked him about this one kid in particular that I know is in the camp that has been an issue he told me that at 'recess' (they have lunch at a playground & play for a bit afterwards), this kid was running around calling him stupid. The first week he did camp back when school just ended, this kid was also giving him a hard time. They have a disciplinary process that ends with getting kicked out but the thing is I believe he's just not being bad enough so after talking it over with DH last night, this morning I spoke to the director of the program. The guy talked about how much of an issue this kid has been (all things that I already know based on how DS talks about him) & I'm just thinking in my head, why do you keep letting him back in?! but he said he thinks he's still little & just spews stuff out & isn't malicious & since they have been able to engage him in the activities they do, he feels like he's in a tough spot. So he basically said he's going to watch out for DS & talk to this other kid. I mean, this camp ends on Friday anyways. I just feel like they shouldn't have let this kid back in if they have had issues with him each & every session. So annoying. The guy called DS a "good sport" for dealing with all the crap that kid has put him through & what's funny is this kid is like a year younger than him, go figure. Real nice.

NamasteBirches, that is really frustrating:/ Hopefully the rest of the week will be uneventful. But it sucks that your DS, and probably other kids, end up having to put up with that :/

I stayed up too late with a friend last night, drinking wine and watching Bachelor in Paradise. So I am tired and hungover today. But other than that, the week has been good so far.
We have a couple of play dates this week. And I've got a PTA meeting on Friday. Then I've got to get the kids all packed up for their trip with DH. I'm really looking forward to the alone time, but I'm also going to miss my babies.

It's been pretty quiet so far this week with DD not feeling good. Lots of movie/cuddle time. Today she seems to be feeling better...or at least eating, so that's a good sign. We have an electrician coming tomorrow to completely replace our fuse box. Friday the only plans are to go to the grocery store.

NamasteBirches wow that would be incredibly frustrating. I'm glad it isn't for too much longer. I understand wanting to help out a kid but those other kids are having to tough it out through bullying which isn't okay. elsiemae maybe plan to go out and have coffee, get a new book, find a historical park to wonder through, that would help take your mind off of them being gone. Just have a nice relaxing time. auri I hope she feels 100% soon.

We have dinner at my mom's tomorrow but otherwise have no other plans for the weekend. I'm hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow so I can take the kids to the park. Let them run out some energy. DS2 is starting OT and some other kind of therapy on Monday. I can't remember what it's called. I'm happy that insurance finally approved it. He was evaluated end of June and we just now got approved and scheduled. We've been working on getting him tested, evaluated, having swallow studies, since February. I'm glad to finally be getting help outside of a list of foods and thickener.

I think I'm starting to go stir crazy. It's only taken 3 months. The baby tends to want to nap right as I want to walk out the door. Not helpful dude.
I might be brave enough to get out the paint this afternoon. I had planned on setting up the water table but it's rainy, buggy and yucky outside. Maybe we go splash in puddles this morning. Maybe hit up the kid's museum again. I need inspiration.

Radley I hope your DS therapy goes well. DD seemed to be feeling normal this morning so I took her to preschool. I am currently sitting in the dark, waiting for the electrician to finish changing out the electrical box. I hope he'll be finished soon, he's been working on it almost 4 hours.

auri thank you! I'm glad she is feeling better! 4 hours seems excessive, did he get done quickly after that?

They said it would take 3-4 hours. The electrical box was original to the house and he needed to completely take out all the fuses and replace it with whatever the new circuit breakers use and ground wires. I think it ended up being 4.5 hours once he checked to make sure all the outlets were working and labeled everything.
