Terrific Tuesday randoms

I've been forcing myself to drink a liter of water before having my morning coffee so I'm just sitting down with a hot coffee, quiet house and my computer to WFH. I have every belief that work will explode at any minute and I'll be crazy busy but I'm enjoying the peace at the moment!

We went to see friends with a 1-month-old this weekend and DD was super jealous when I was holding the baby. Then this morning she pushed our nanny share little girl (14 months) while I was there. Our nanny says it only happens when DH or I are in the room. I'm so scared of dealing with a jealous toddler and a newborn.

So this morning I opened my Carters package that came in the mail yesterday. When I came to the 'going home from the hospital' outfit I got for DS2, I held it up and told DS1 that it was for his baby brother. He cocked his head sideways, smiled, then said he wanted to hug baby brother. He took the outfit and hugged it. <3 I about melted in a puddle on the floor. To date he hasn't really taken much interest when we talk about the baby so this was nice to see.

We had our photo session last night and after the first family shot, DS promptly tripped and fell in the water. So the rest of the shoot involved a soaked, topless 4 year old. He was having a blast running and playing so I'm sure they will still be adorable.

Everyone is napping right now and the house is so quiet. I should nap too, but I'm not feeling it. I'll probably lay down and read and will doze off then.

We were away visiting my family over the weekend. It was so fun, but I'm exhausted. It was really nice to see some of my extended family. My sister and I are both pregnant so it was great so see her, and to watch DS with his cousin. They are adorable.

August is my busy month at work (I work at a University). Things get busier and busier every week and I'm already exhausted. I might not be super active here, but I'm reading all your posts when I have time. I'm here is spirit and sending support via love tits when I can.

I forgot it was Tuesday and convinced myself this was an old randoms getting bumped. Oops! Nothing too exciting here except DS had a growth spurt and outgrew his sandals just in time for stores to stop selling them. Our labor day beach house trip will be interesting if i can't find some toddler water shoes or sandals for his still very small feet (like size 4.5-5)

We ordered water shoes on Amazon and it worked out. And DS has ridiculously wide feet.

Nothing exciting over here, just hanging with the toddler. We went for a nice long walk, and stopped by the park for almost an hour. Had lunch, and he's been napping for an hour now. Last night I decided to get back into Pinterest, it's been quite a while since I've even looked at it. I was up until 2am "cleaning" my boards, lol. After deleting old boards/pins I know I'll never use, and creating a new board for baby girl, I went to bed feeling super accomplished. It was like nesting, but without leaving the couch, and still feeling productive. Also, I'm addicted to Pinterest again and want all the cute baby girl things.

We had a playgroup this morning and now DH took DS for an afternoon/evening visit to see Grandma and Grandpa. An afternoon to myself...and I have no idea what to do. So far I've organized and started the dishwasher and tossed some bedding in the washer. I want to do something fun, but not sure what that is yet...

I am here being a creeper and LT'ing and such. I got signed out and finally figured out how to get back in. Now my toddler is throwing shit off of our second floor condo deck so I guess I should do something about that. <--pretty much sums up my life

Work and a doctors appr. Nothing too exciting here.

Some work friends of H gave DD an old fisher price dollhouse their kids outgrew. She is obsessed! It's the first thing she asks for in the AM and last toy before bed. This thing has bought H and I over an hour of kid free time each day already and we just got it Sunday!
