How far along are you? 18w0d
Size: sweet potato
Upcoming Appointments: the 28th is our anatomy scan!!
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: finally felt baby move last week which was a relief. I felt DD around 17w so was expecting this one sooner but baby is still so low & im actually smaller right now than I was at this point w DD. I can't wait for our A/s though, I want to know what we're having!!
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? Probably our kitchen which is silly bc it's gorgeous. But I want a white kitchen 😍 And I'd love more storage which is also silly bc we already have tons lol. I'd love to redo our laundry room to add a mudroom too.

Anatomy scan next Friday the 25th!
I finally started feeling baby move about a week ago! So that's nice. 2nd trimester has actually been much better this time. Minimal nausea now, and just the occasional sudden throwing up.
GTKY: There's so much that our house needs, but the kitchen is the next big project. It currently has white vinyl covered drawers and cupboards that are falling apart, and you have to lift one up to close the next one....So that will all be torn out. I want bigger windows over the sink, a farmhouse sink with faucet that can move around and spray (I know, dream big), and nice floors that are not dirty old linoleum please.

How far along are you? 15 w 5 d Size: Naval Orange/Cinnamon Roll Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday for a growth scan/detailed scan with MFM. This is "extra monitoring" due to Ava's birth defects to hopefully give us some peace of mind that everything looks good so far. Symptoms/concerns/milestones: So far so good, just anxious to feel her move around more. August 15th is the one year anniversary of finding out Ava was very sick, so far I'm okay but I can't believe it has been a year already. GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? We are getting ready to do our master bathroom (waiting for the call from our contractor to start demo) any day now so I won't count that. The next super major project would be to replace all the windows in our house which would be about $20-25,000 since we have so many windows. A total splurge if someone was giving us free money would be to reconfigure our basement. It is 3/4 finished with a storage area, but I would dig out the crawl space to make it actual usable space and put beams in to get rid of poles. I would add a bathroom and move the stairs from the middle of the room. Read more: howeverithappened.proboards.com/thread/4920/weekly-check-8-14-20#ixzz4pjlbRmo2

How far along are you? 13+1
Size: Lemon
Upcoming Appointments: NT scan was last week, and next appointment is Sept. 11th.
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: My biggest symptom has been cramps/stomach pains at night. It's hard to sleep because I have cramps pretty constantly all night.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? We recently did our kitchen, next on my list is our master bath! I would love a soaking tub.

How far along are you? 17w6d
Size: Playstation remote
Upcoming Appointments: Nothing this week
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: Feeling baby move more and more as the week went on and H even has felt a couple little rolls! My pelvis is pretty regularly sore, but I've accepted that just happens to me every pregnancy.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? Our kitchen and living room is separated by the basement stairs which is surrounded by walls that extend all the way to the main exterior door we use. We would LOVE to knock those walls down and put a railing up instead to open it up and just make the space bigger, and giving us more access into those rooms from each other. And then repaint the walls in those rooms. But we'll probably wait until kids are old enough to respect the railing rather than walls before we consider what we can do there.

How far along are you? 15+2 Size: Pear Upcoming Appointments: Just normal midwife appointment next week. Symptoms/concerns/milestones: Excited to be firmly in 2nd tri! My main symptom is frequent peeing and occasional headaches. GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? We built our house just 2 years ago so I don't have anything big to change right now but I would probably re-design our master bath if it was free. How far along are you? 17+4 Size: pomegranate Upcoming Appointments: September 1st 😞 Symptoms/concerns/milestones: same as usual. Nausea, fatigue, anxious lol GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? I'd love to do both the kitchen and master bath eventually. But since this is free I'll choose master bath because I'm almost positive I would need a structural engineer and stuff because to do what we want I THINK would require moving plumbing or bumping a wall out. 😭$$$ essentially we want a bigger stand up shower but the shower is wedged in the corner between the toilet, a heating grate outside the shower, and a cabinet. So we could elongate it on both sides because you'd run into the toilet and the heating grate... Read more: howeverithappened.proboards.com/thread/4920/weekly-check-8-14-20#ixzz4pkWQneVu

How far along are you? 17+4
Size: cream brûlée
Upcoming appointments: endocrinologist tomorrow, a/s next Wednesday!
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: still just generally stressed/anxious about the placenta previa as I still have brown spotting with tissue every day. Also anxious about the GD and I seem to be really focused and scared on having high blood pressure. I need all the beers after this!
GTKY: I would remodel our main floor - remove a wall and have a designer redesign a more open concept and functional kitchen to living room area. But if I got free monies I would probably put it towards a down payment for an actual house. Vancouver real estate is insane and since our townhouses are selling for a million plus, we most likely will not be moving to a full sized house anytime soon 👎🏻

How far along are you? 14+2 Size: Beet Upcoming Appointments: Phone appointment with new OB Thursday, scan next Tuesday. Symptoms/concerns/milestones: Still exhausted. Occasional nausea, but it's getting better. GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? Can I pick the yard? Our house was flipped before we bought it, so the inside looks fantastic. It used to be a rental, so the yard is a disaster and H and I are woefully inept at caring for it. Oh damn good call on the yard! If we can put in a pool and do a badass patio then that's my choice for sure!

How far along are you? 12 + 2
Size: passion fruit
Upcoming Appointments: I just had my blood work taken for the DNA test on Friday, since this took place of our NT scan I decided to go in for an elective ultrasound to get a peek at the little one (its hard after so many losses!) Thankfully there was a strong heart beat and everything was doing well. Hopefully getting blood results back at the end of the week or early next week and then next appointment next Friday.
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: Still battling the severe bouts of nausea and exhaustion but hoping that goes away soon.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? The outside, I am terrible with plants and growing things so any help would be appreciated. I love outdoor living spaces!

How far along are you? 18w3d Size: slingshot Upcoming Appointments: nothing for a few weeks Symptoms/concerns/milestones: Our AS was Friday, and we are team pink! I am feeling really good aside from some nagging RLP. H and I also just had a painter come remove the popcorn ceiling and paint the nursery, so now it's totally ready for furniture and decorating. GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? Ugh, which to decide?? I want to say master bath, but I agree with misspatty that our yard needs a major overhaul. We really need to have a retaining wall built and a lot of dirt added to make the backyard level.

How far along are you? 19w6d
Size: mango or gameboy
Upcoming Appointments: I go back the 30th for a follow-up ultrasound to get a profile pic and one more picture of the heart valves that they couldn't get during my AS
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: Right now, headache. Also exhausted and I think I'm getting some RLP. Also ankle swelling.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? We have done a ton of work on our house since we bought it so there isn't much inside. The previous owners re-did the kitchen and master bath but neither are my style so maybe those. We just had our landscape redone last fall but still need to redo part of our driveway. Oh and I want to redo the tile in the entry (also NMS) and the sunroom to match in a herringbone pattern but that's not really a need. If it was free, I would bump out the back of our house so that we could expand our master and possibly convert our lower brick patio into another sunroom to use as a gym.

How far along are you? 17w5d
Size: pomegranate
Upcoming Appointments: 8/28 ob, 8/29 anatomy scan
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: oh so hungry, cramps, and headaches (I have one now that just won't go away, hopefully the nap I am about to take will knock it out!
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? I rent but to renovate one part of this house will be to make the third floor a balling master suite, it's just a room and bath right now but with a great designer it would be awesome. The designer that designed this house should of been fired bc each floor would be 100% more functional if reconfigured. If taking the money was an option I would also use as a down payment I would need at least 300k to be able to afford a house (the market is ridiculous here, not as bad as Vancouver but close).

How far along are you? 19 weeks 4d
Size: zesty zucchini haha
Upcoming Appointments: had neurologist today - med level dropped so going through another increase, recheck levels later in the week. OB tomorrow morning, anatomy scan Thursday!
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: I guys thus isn't really a symptom but according to the scale this morning I've lost a pound since getting pregnant. I'm a bigger girl to begin with so I doubt it's anything to be concerned about. I like it! My constipation has gotten sooo much better since ending zofran.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? Can I just say my home exterior? New siding, windows etc. Or finish our basement turned family room project.

How far along are you? 14w
Size: rubix cube
Upcoming Appointments: nothing this week.
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: I've given up trying to hide my bump, and I carry my weight in my stomach area to begin with so it's getting big. No one at work has asked, but a lady at a store on Sunday asked me when I was due.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do?
I would replace all of the counter tops and sinks in my house.

How far along are you?16 weeks even
Size:Avacado
Upcoming Appointments: Nothing until the beginning of September. I started my weekly injections that I will get through 36 weeks to prevent preterm labor.
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: still slightly nauseous at times. SO MUCH ligament pain. Also still so much boob pain. They never hurt this long with my other kids.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? Our master bath! My H and I dream of a luxury shower with a million jets and sprayers and gorgeous stone work. We haven't done anything with our bathroom since we built our house 6 years ago and it's pretty blah.

How far along are you? 14w1d
Size: no idea
Upcoming Appointments: nothing in the immediate future. Anatomy scan is next month.
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: I finally got results from the Panorama test (I had to have my blood drawn a second time because there wasn't enough material in the first sample to measure). Low risk for everything! This is a huge relief (I have a history of previous chromosomal abnormalities). Combined with the great NT scan, I feel like I can finally relax and enjoy this pregnancy. Oh, and it's a girl! My mom is over the moon about that.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? Probably the family room. It's not bad as it is, but it has this weird wood paneling on one wall where the fireplace is. It kinda sticks out from the rest of the room, and not in a cute way.

How far along are you? 16+6
Size: pomegranate
Upcoming Appointments: I had one today, and scheduled my anatomy scan for 8/29!
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: Definitely feeling baby move at times... MH could feel DS move when I was 18 weeks last time around, but DS was a totally insane wiggler (and still is). I don't think this one moves quite so much.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? The outdoor space!! Would love to have a totally awesome outdoor living area (kitchen, fireplace, pool, the works)!

How far along are you? 13+4
Size: Clownfish
Upcoming Appointments: I'll be seeing my OB on Friday for my monthly appointment. I don't think it involves anything special, just the usual basic checks.
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: My exhaustion has finally eased. It happened so gradually that I only realized the other day that I could function without a two hour nap. I'm still tired, but not miserable. My nausea is still around, but quite mild as long as I don't over or under eat.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? Oh, this is hard. So many things! I'd love our upstairs bathroom to be fancy, but it's just too small to do much with. Probably finishing the basement. It's huge with nice, high ceilings. I would separate off the laundry area and some storage and finish the rest for a playroom/hang out area for the kids. If it was free I'd put a third bathroom down there!

How far along are you? 13 weeks 4 days I was 12 weeks 2 days but they moved my due date after my NT scan yesterday.
Upcoming appointments: I had my NT scan yesterday. Baby is measuring big (no surprise there. DS always measured big and was 9 lbs 11 oz at birth) so they moved my due date from 2/25 to 2/16 though I'm not convinced my dates are that far off. I think we just make big babies. 🤷🏼♀️
My next appointment is 9/11. I'll be '17 weeks' lol. They're giving me two GD tests because of DS's size so I'll get my first one that day.
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: Still no real symptoms but no more concerns after seeing the ultrasound and hearing the heartbeat!
GTKY: I would renovate my kitchen I think. The rest of my house just needs new flooring for me to love it lol. The kitchen needs a little more help.

How far along are you? 18w Size: sweet potato Upcoming appointments: had one today, A/S is 8/31! Symptoms/concerns/milestones: nausea is subsiding. I am starting to feel a little paranoid about not feeling movement. My mind is going to a bad place even though I am sure it is probably something minor like an anterior placenta. GTKY: I would finish our basement!

Chipmuck! This freaked me out for some reason. I feel like that's pretty big but in my head I'm still barely pregnant.
I have a monthly appt this Friday.
Still lots of boob pain, oddly. It went away and now it's back with a vengence. My 2yo has started saying "hurt mommy's boobs" because I always tell her that when she's climbing on me I guess. I'm feeling approximately 1 million times better now that the exhaustion and nausea is gone. And I have started nesting I think. My back hurts but it always does so I don't know if that is related.
We have so many projects upcoming. We are trying to do one or two a year for the next 10 years. The big one is the kitchen/mudroom/laundry room/powder room. They are all connected and we will likely get an architect to change the layout and make the kitchen much larger. So it would be great if someone else wanted to pay for that! Otherwise I will be working on my Pinterest board for the next 9 years.

Bahaha benandjerrys, I am laughing because my 2 yo frequently asks to be carried and I apparently use the same excuse a lot because she has started asking "Momma, does your back hurt?" before she asks to be carried now 😂

I don't want to renovate anything. I rent. lol I do however want to paint my downstairs bathroom and G's room.

How far along are you? 17 weeks
Size: Palm size
Upcoming Appointments: Nothing until September. My first OB appointment is supposed to be the Sunday of the long weekend. They just sent a letter to my family doctor. I'm supposed to be away for the weekend so called last week to change it. Was told they would get back to me but still haven't heard anything. So frustrating. In some ways the Canadian health care system is brutal....
Symptoms/concerns/milestones: Will the nausea ever end? Was throwing up this morning and now can't bring myself to get ready for work.
GTKY: If you could renovate one part of your house completely for free, what would you do? I would add more space. It's only 1200 sqft but was completely remodelled right before we moved in 3 years ago. Pretty much everything was done: roof, siding, all interior rooms.... my husband redid the front and back yards over the past couple of summers so now all we need is space.
