I'm doing my 3hr glucose and the lab is SO busy. I just had to wait an hour to have my fasting blood drawn and be given the drink. I got here around 8 and can't leave until after 12 with no food or water (obviously). This is like cruel and unusual punishment. My lab lets you quickly skip the line to do that since they know you're going to be waiting 1 (3) hours anyways. Too bad that wasn't an option.

beefinch, I just asked about SPD (a type of pelvic girdle pain) on the general discussion board. I am fairly certain I have it. Was it something you brought up to your midwife, or did they bring it up? I'm pretty sure I have it as well. As well as my last pregnancy. Sadly, my doctor always seems to brush it off say it's normal pain and will get worse with each subsequent pregnancy. It's one thing that she doesn't seem to listen to me about. I like everything else about her.

This weekend at work I had 6 different people tell me I'm having a boy based on how I'm carrying. Not even asking, just confidently telling me that there must be a boy in there. Nope. My girls are high and my boy felt like he was resting somewhere near my kneecaps. Thanks for telling me I don't look puffy enough to be having a girl, though. Are boys supposed to sit high? Because DD was all up into my lungs and boobs. This baby is a lot lower, crushing my pelvis. But at least I can breathe, I guess. Lol. I've carried both of mine low and am on girl number two.

I should probably stop running, buuuuuuuut, yeah. Two more weeks. So type A.

I just called my department director about my job situation. Looks like I'll be split between two middle schools most likely but I won't know for certain until Thursday. I am at least going back to the one I was at this year, so that's good. It's a decent school and I like my team. No idea about the other school he mentioned. I'll have to sniff around.
I also let him know I'm pregnant so that I'll need a LTS at some point this fall. And I let him know I was pulled at 35 weeks last time and that I'm not sure how long I'll be allowed to work for this time. Just so they can get that rolling too and that they'll be on alert that I won't work until my due date, because screw that.

Just got back from my scan. Baby boy is head down and measuring at almost 2lbs! But, of course, like every other ultrasound, he had his hands right in front of his face so we couldn't get the best pictures. I'm putting money on him not wanting to be swaddled. He's had his hands up in his face since he grew fingers lol

quinn, I bet you're right, no swaddle for that kid, but definitely some scratch mitts! bethkate, nooooOOOoooo. That is brutal! I didn't have to fast and I was still a bit aggressive with the tech to be like Gimme that drink now! cnf, glad your work situation is sounding at least ok, what a relief. I've been freaking out, only 2 1/2 months of work left before being off for a year. They really need to start looking for my replacement Our HR department is a bit understaffed right now, so I feel super guilty. We're hoping than an old employee who left to travel the world (?!) might come back and take my job for the year, that would be the best scenario. And I know she wouldn't be better than me

That's what the public keeps telling me, but I have also been the opposite. I'm going to add this info to my Reasons TGB Is Having A Boy spreadsheet.

I think it's an option for the 1 hour because they just need to give you the drink, but since you need to have blood drawn at the start of the 3 hour, you have to wait your turn.

Back at work today. I'm tired and it's rainy out so that's not helping. I'm trying to be productive, but there are people in the room next door making a decent amount of noise so that also is not helping. Oh well. I'm off tomorrow because of my glucose testing and I really thought my appointment was earlier in the morning. Apparently not I will survive, I will survive. My OB's office has tons of snacks on hand so I'm not super concerned but I'm hungry all the time and have a tendency toward low blood sugar anyway.

I woke up really dizzy causing me to throw up. My H stayed home so he could watch DD while I rest. I think I feel better until I move then the whole room spins. This is not fun, my body needs to get it together.

My H had flowers delivered to me! It's literally the first time he's ever done that in the 15+ years we've been together. Such a surprise.

Sorry you'll have to wait for your test grumpycat , but snacks at the OB? Score! They only break them out if you are desperate (or if baby is not cooperating for a NST), which I may be tomorrow lol. I don't think any OB's office wants preggos passing out in their waiting room.

I don't think any OB's office wants preggos passing out in their waiting room. My OB keeps a hidden snack stash too, but it's also only privy on a as needed basis. I got crackers and juice during an NST where baby wasn't moving enough once, and juice during DD's anatomy scan to try and get her to move positions. I wish I got juice at every visit.

Baby girl is head down and measuring 2 weeks ahead. 1 hour glucose booked for the 31st.
I'm so tired today, I picked up a night shift last night and it was so busy. They called me again for tonight and I didn't even bother to answer.

Baby positioning anecdote! My first was high the whole time and this one has been low, both boys. DD1 was so low and for the most part this DD was high until she dropped to head down. She's already got her head in my pelvis. Hopefully she stays there so I can breathe. DS was side-laying for the most part until he went head down.

Was it something you brought up to your midwife, or did they bring it up? Stupid tapa not telling me I have a notification, sorry I brought it up, basically told her all my symptoms and she said I have pelvic girdle pain, and gave me a leaflet of information etc, and told me what not to do and avoid. I knew I was developing something to do with hips/pelvis, so didn't surprise me

It's a bit ridiculous.

DS was low pretty much my whole pregnancy. This kid was high until a few days ago. Now I can feel his/her head in my pelvis/feet in my ribs. Yay.
