I had to push my glucose test back thanks to my new work schedule. Now it's in the evening and eating leading up to it makes me nervous.

Yes, blabbermouth , I'll get two weeks of pay at the summer rate then an additional (large) raise on top of my salary because the school is also extended day. Well that's a plus, buy yourself something nice

I was always allowed water, but not to guzzle or drink glasses of during the 3hour. Usually I was too nauseous to feel like drinking anything more than sips anyway. I'm legitimately worried about barfing. I have a sensitive stomachs and 12 hours with no food and nasty glucose drink sounds dicey. Not going to lie, I layed down during my first 3 hour in a room in the back with the lights off. It sucked. I refused the 3 hour with my 2nd because I hated it so bad. Also, if you do throw up, they will make you do it again. Keep from throwing up with whatever you can. Lay down. Go on a walk between draws. Sip water.

Any news on your sister thatgolfb? Hope it's going/gone smoothly! I just realized I never checked in here today! We are currently making the 3.5 without traffic hour drive up to see her... Probably will be a little longer because driving through LA at rush hour. But almost 2 hours in. Anyway! She was induced last night and this morning wasn't making much progress. They were just about to do a c section, but she started progressing just in time so she is currently still laboring! Looking like a late tonight baby (it is 7 pm here now) or maybe early morning. I was up at 4 so I may not quite make it to see the baby tonight, but we will at least stop at the hospital to say hi (depending on how it is going). DD is getting restless in the car so we may stop for dinner soon. I'm surprised she hasn't said she is hungry, actually.

Got the 3 hour set up for Tuesday, first thing in the morning. The not being able to drink water is going to be hard. It's become such a habit now to just constantly sip on my water bottle. I'm gonna treat myself to a good kindle book for the appointment. Thanks fancy and blabbermouth! You aren't allowed to drink water? Ugh...I just found out my 1 hour test was slightly outside the range so I have to do the three hour. I thought you were at least able to sip water. FFFC - I'm really hating being pregnant right now. I'm sick of these random minor issues I have no control over. There is no reason you shouldn't be able to drink water... Nothing in water will cause glucose in the blood to elevate.

bazi , I wasn't allowed to drink water after I had the glucose drink for my 1 hour (it was allowed leading up to it though -- just no food after midnight). For the 3 hour, I cannot have anything to eat or drink (including water) after midnight. ETA: I'm gonna clarify this with the nurse. The interwebz say I can have water and that will make my life better for those awful 3 hours. I need to check too. There's no way I can go 12 hours without drinking water. Is the concern that it dilutes the glucose drink? It is the same amount of glucose, there is no way the dilution would be enough to affect the blood. If they were testing urine, maybe.

Every time I see "GD test" I read it as "Goddamn test". Seems applicable in some of your situations anyway.

Just got my notes in the post about my blood results, the GT test and all that.
When they said barely passed they meant it lol
Anything over 7.8 is considered to have GD, I was 7.7... not sure how to go about this. I don't eat a lot of sugar anyway so it's fine but it makes me feel like I do have it lol. Plus H is like 'well watch what you are eating please as that makes me nervous'

On a lighter note DS has now learnt what boobies are. Down to me as I got changed while he was in the same room and he was like "what's that?" Looking at my boobs. So I reply and now his new thing is pulling up/down my top and pointing out my boobs lol. Does it to everyone else as well... H looked at me when he done it to him and I was like "he won't understand that men don't have have boobies yet" he also pulls at H's chest hair and then looks at my chest and it's like you can hear him thinking why I don't have any lol.

So, I'm 29 weeks today, and all I keep thinking is how crazy it is that I'll be 30 weeks next week. That seems like a big milestone for some reason. Anyone else feel that way??

I'm a day behind you and I feel the same way. This pregnancy went so fast. Like I can't believe we will be giving birth in less than 12 or so weeks and some of us sooner.

Slow cooked roast chicken (been cooking it for 7 hours now lol) and some noodles for tea, I've been craving those noodles where you put in water and boil them with a packet of flavour, cheap and easy, but lovely taste.
DS is having mac n cheese with chicken, as the noodles are just way past his patience of 'forking' them and he would just throw a fit lol
