I'm home from my meeting. I really, really love being an active union member and could have stayed there forever. Still glad to be home. Can't wait to see my kid tomorrow morning - I face timed with her yesterday and she was so confused. It was sweet. She didn't understand why I couldn't help get her down from the dining table or why she couldn't touch me through the phone. She actually asked me how I got in there.
She's seen videos on my phone before, guys. Of herself, even. I was very confused by her confusion.

I finally got a placement for work. It's full time at one pretty good middle school in the district, which is good. The bad news is they're an extended school and start Tuesday. So I went from having another two weeks off to only having three days and needing childcare. Ughhhh.

My body is so much less sore in the morning ... it's amazing. Slept like crap last night as per usual though. Today is my 2nd to last Friday at work.
Oof. Failed my 1 hour GD test. Like badly. So looks like I will be doing the 3 hour too. Boo.
ETA According to the interwebz, I didn't fail it that badly.

They were supposed to call me yesterday and never did. Not that one day would end up mattering.

Pregnancy brain is real. Went to the store to get diapers and some food for lunch. Came home with diapers, a lunch kit for my son staring kindergarten, canning supplies and no food for lunch. Now currently trying to figure out what I could eat

Got the 3 hour set up for Tuesday, first thing in the morning. The not being able to drink water is going to be hard. It's become such a habit now to just constantly sip on my water bottle. I'm gonna treat myself to a good kindle book for the appointment. Thanks fancy and blabbermouth!

Ugh...I just found out my 1 hour test was slightly outside the range so I have to do the three hour. I thought you were at least able to sip water. FFFC - I'm really hating being pregnant right now. I'm sick of these random minor issues I have no control over.

bazi , I wasn't allowed to drink water after I had the glucose drink for my 1 hour (it was allowed leading up to it though -- just no food after midnight). For the 3 hour, I cannot have anything to eat or drink (including water) after midnight. ETA: I'm gonna clarify this with the nurse. The interwebz say I can have water and that will make my life better for those awful 3 hours.

Is the concern that it dilutes the glucose drink?

I think DD has gone from transverse (head was bottom left, feet top right) to breech. I'm getting some serious cervix kicks. Either that or she has got some good head butting skills already lol

bazi, yeah, the concern is that it'll dilute the drink. I was told I could drink water before the test but not for the 3 hours once I had the drink. It sucked. Good news is that I passed the 3 hour. No GD for me, thank God!

I passed my GD test. This will be my first pregnancy without it. I'm not sure what to do with myself. When I told H, he laughed and didn't know what to say either. I thought for sure I was failing, this baby is already measuring 2 weeks ahead....which is why I feel so dang big.
I'm celebrating with a cherry Pepsi.

I was always allowed water, but not to guzzle or drink glasses of during the 3hour. Usually I was too nauseous to feel like drinking anything more than sips anyway.

Yes, blabbermouth, I'll get two weeks of pay at the summer rate then an additional (large) raise on top of my salary because the school is also extended day.

I am really more upset about this GD test than is reasonable. I guess because I made a point of eating healthy/limited carbs for the 2 days before, and the results are like just barely over 140. Plus my stupid low placenta causing drama. These are minor issues and I know I'm really lucky something more serious isn't happening. But still...ugh.
I will blame my brattiness on pregnant hormones.
