We're having our driveway repaved. We were told they weren't able to get a permit in time for our scheduled date last week, and they'd let us know the new date once they got the permit. That's the last we heard. They showed up at 7:30, banging on our door. What's going on on this fine Monday in August in your house/office/under-bridge? What beverage is keeping you going?

My sister is visiting for a few days before she goes off to college. We will probably go to the park or something this morning. And maybe swimming at a friend's house this afternoon.
I'm drinking Trader Joe French vanilla, iced with so delicious creamer.
I got a new contigo insulated straw cup that is dishwasher safe. I really like it. If the straw comes out a flap seals the opening so it doesn't spill.

English breakfast with milk.
I also ate two molasses cookies.
I need to get the kids fed, E to the neighbors, C to daycare, and then E to kindergarten from 9:30-11 for meet and greet.
My husband was going to help, but he has jury duty.

I'm drinking Starbucks Italian Roast with stevia and vanilla almond milk creamer. J and I are on the front porch with our morning beverages, M is still in bed. I'm so glad she sleeps in so I have time to hang out with J for a bit in the mornings. Although when he starts preschool in a couple weeks she's going to have to adjust.
Today we need to go to the post office. That's the extent of my to-do list. We'll probably spend a good amount of the day outside.

Soy Latte made with Lavazza espresso and honey on my commute here, which helped me survive the awful traffic due to a bad accident that closed 2/3 lanes on the turnpike. Luckily it was clear once I got past the accident so I was only 15 min late to work. Having a cup of black tea with a splash of half n half and two sugars now that I'm at work because I am still exhausted from the weekend and going to sleep too late last night.

I'm drinking ice water and eating a piece of Boston Cream Pie.
And now I'm thinking about iced tea and ice water, or is it ice tea and iced water? How about ice cream?

This is the most expensive form of childcare ever, but I'll take it (watching demo of our driveway).

Z refused to sleep in her bed last night, so I've had a bottle of coffee, a huge glass of tea, and am halfway through Dr pepper. I still don't think it'll be enough. I'll probably be back at the convenience kiosk soon.

Tried to offer sippy cups of water instead of bottles last night and E and A angrily refused. They only had 2 wakeups at 1130p then 545am but I'm so ready to just get rid of bottles.
Homebrewed Dunkin' Donuts coffee with milk and sugar.

mc13, I cannot wait until w decides he's ready to use sippy cups. He clearly knows how, he just doesn't want to.

Oh hey, I'm here! Back from the road trip. I'm drinking hot black coffee in a Contigo travel mug. I have a bunch of little errands to run today. Swim lessons, backpack shopping for A, picking up medical records for R's school, dropping off those records, and exchanging a broken water bottle.

DH called first thing to tell me to bring him a bag because he has to go oot. When I finally got his bag packed and the kids in the car, we got halfway down our street when the tire pressure light came on. We've been at the tire shop for over an hour and they just now started on our car. The kids were too rowdy inside so I brought them out to play on the strip of grass outside but apparently it has just been mowed and now all of the kids are absolutely covered in wet grass clippings. Oh and I forgot my coffee in the car. It is definitely Monday.

I am on my third mug of folgers breakfast blend, black. I've been feeling so sleepy lately and this cloudy weather isn't helping.
I'm really craving bacon & eggs.

I ordered a takeout salad from my least favorite place in town. It is delicious - Gorgonzola, cranberries, walnuts, mixed greens, etc... and a big chunk of grilled focaccia.
I was so excited. I really only like salads when other people make them for me.
The focaccia was not in the bag when I got home.
That made this low-carb eater quite disappointed.

Back to work after having four days off. Boo! I had a bottled iced coffee-- salted caramel flavor. It was delicious.

G takes milk out of the sippy just fine during the day but still only a bottle before bed. I figure at least we brush their teeth after their bottles, so I'm not going to worry yet.
