Waffle Glad you figured out what was causing the discoloration, I hope it clears up asap! I definitely just googled yeast infection nipples to see if that's what I had, I don't recommend doing that lol. I don't think that's what I had going on. Yeah, I did that too  that is not what mine looks like, thank goodness! Dr said cream will clear it up. I'm just not looking forward to rubbing cream on there as my nipples are super sensitive.

This is definitely on the forefront of my mind too. My friends with 2+ kids have told me that it's not as hard of as an adjustment as they thought it would be. Ha I've read that 1>2 is harder than 0>1 I have heard this too and that once you get past 2 it's smooth sailing and it doesn't matter if you had 4 more kids after that. HAHA

What is the nipple discoloration? The areola directly around my right nipple went pale/a little bit white and dry over a few millimetres. The outer part looks normal. I'm glad you got it figured out. Just wondering since my nips have been strange this pregnancy. There is a little white in the center, but there are black marks. I didn't want to google yeast infection nipples, so I appreciate the description instead! lol

How far along are you? 21w5d
How big is baby? Baby bokchoy
Any upcoming appointments this week? Not until September
Any new symptoms or changes? Feeling more movement, which is nice. Nothing consistent, but I like knowing he's kicking.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I too have a nipple issue. I've had a scab that won't heal and it itches sometimes. I'm going to ask the midwife at my next appointment.
For the questions I am most looking forward to the newborn snuggles and all that goes along with it.
TW If I can be entirely honest, I'm looking forward to never being pregnant again or ttc. We tried for a year to get pregnant with DD2, I was eight months pregnant when I lost her and then we immediately started trying and went to the RE and got pregnant three months after our loss. I'm exhausted emotionally and am ready to be done. END TW
I am not looking forward to the sleep depravation. At all.

ldubhawksfan Sounds like what I had/have going on with my nipples. The dark spots are gone now but white is still there in the center, almost like a little opening or under the nipple skin if that makes sense. I tried hand expressing in the shower this morning out of curiosity and I'm pretty sure it's colostrum.

I totally understand jrun2013. TTC really is a mind fuck. It took us 1.5 years to get pregnant this time. I can't imagine going through this again and so this will be our last baby (we hope). *hugs*

ldubhawksfan Yeah me neither! No leaking here, I was just curious after reading it could be colostrum and won't be trying to express any again. I definitely didn't have this when I was pregnant with my daughter!

Had my follow up appointment today with the MFM. Baby's heart looks great and normal! We still have a kidney that's a little enlarged so we will continue to watch that. But our tech said its really common with boy babies and so we will be back at 32 weeks just to get another look at him.

I always forget to do this but I'm still around!
How far along are you?: 22w3d
How big is baby?: Spaghetti squash
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Nope, growth scan on 28th.
Any new symptoms or feelings?: Movement is definitely getting more frequent and stronger!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: At my last OB appointment my doctor said I was measuring big and scheduled a growth scan to make sure the baby isn't too big, I guess? He weighed 13 ounces at 20 weeks which I thought was normal. She also measured my stomach and to be honest there was already a pretty good sized bump there long before I got pregnant...so maybe I'm just big and not the baby? I'm worried about it...but excited to see the baby again!
QOTW: Honestly, I haven't even started worrying about newborn care yet. My anxiety still strictly focuses on whether baby will make it here safely.

Hugs jrun2013 My loss brain (even though not pregnancy related) is on quite frequently. It sucks - no other way to put it.

Thanks ladies. I'm honestly doing as well as I can, but I'll be super happy to hopefully have a healthy baby and not have to do this again.

How far along are you? 23w 1d
How big is baby? A Buche de Noel (Ovia) or a rolled up sponge cake in the shape of a Yule Log
Any upcoming appointments this week? Ultrasound and appointment with the MFM Thursday. After speaking with my OB I'm more convinced that this little lady just wouldn't cooperate with the US tech. Still nervous as I would be before any appointment but feeling better than I was.
Any new symptoms or changes? Noticeable ankle swelling at night. It started around the same time with DD but I forgot how uncomfortable it can get. Just trying to chug water and keep them elevated! (As much as possible with a 2yo😂)
Rants/Raves/AW/questions? nope
STM here and I'm most looking forward to baby snuggles and least looking forward to finding a sleep/feeding/awake groove. I remember that took awhile with DD and I know it will be much more difficult with 2 babies.

Hugs jrun2013. FTM: what is something you are worried about once the baby arrives? EVERYTHING, lol. If I must be specific, lack of sleep and how we'll deal with it.

How far along are you? 24+1
How big is baby? Philly Cheesesteak
Any upcoming appointments this week? I had my 24 week yesterday - very boring, but always nice to hear that heartbeat. Next appointment (28 weeks) is the big one where we will see what's up with the vasa previa.
Any new symptoms or changes? Biggest issue are these sore, leaky nipples. Having to decide between wearing a bra to sleep or feeling wet spots on my shirt is a...sad state. I've banished the bella band in favor of maternity pants only, and am very happy about that.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions: I have a terrible head cold right now, and it's just miserable! Trying to get by with just the neti-pot and lots of fluids, but I may cave today and take a Sudafed (doc said ok yesterday) to calm some of the symptoms for a bit. We're hosting a dinner party and I don't want to gross people out.
Q: As a FTM, I'm anxious about how this child will affect my marriage. I'm disgustingly happy with my husband; he is the best thing about my life, and in the face of our IF pain and struggles over the past 5 years, our travel and time spent together has been such a source of joy. As the time of being just us two draws to a close, I am finding myself being very protective of the relationship.

24 weeks - V day!
Eggplant/Ear of corn
Had one on Monday, nothing super exciting. Heartbeat is strong at 154 bpm. I have MFM at the end of the month. At my 28 week, we have glucose test and another draw to see how my liver levels are doing. They were a little elevated at the beginning so just for monitoring.
Nothing really. I've gained 9 lbs to date which is a little much for me given I am overweight to begin with but I'll go with it (As I am currently eating potato skins and a buffalo chicken wrap - obviously I care a lot at this moment lol). I am still just exhausted all the time. And let the WADDLE begin!
We had the gender reveal for our besties over the weekend and they are having a girl!! They (or at least she) was sooooo excited. Kind of jealous but I am super excited to wait to see in December. The baby is already getting the short end of the stick....not a single thing purchased.
TTM here, but never had two at the same time so I will be in new territory. I am excited about the 6 weeks that I will be alone getting to know our new baby. And seeing how HK interacts with the new baby since she is too young to understand. I am not looking forward to trying to tackle everyday things with 2 under 2. Grocery shopping, bed time, etc.

typo31, I will tell you that the first year is hard on a marriage. It sounds like you 2 have a GREAT foundation though and that is so important! Someone on my BMB who was a STM mentioned once to never make any relationship decisions that first year and that advice still sticks with me. There will be times in the first year where you will look at your H and think that you didn't think you could possibly love him more until you saw him as a dad. Then 5 seconds later you may look at him and wonder why you ever chose to procreate with him. lol Go on dates. It really helps. We only went once a month but it was super important to reconnect even if we only made it 5 minutes without talking about the baby. You 2 will be fine. Sorry for the tl;dr.

typo31 I second what veganontuesdays said. My situation was weird bc DH deployed when DD was 11 days old so our newborn adjustment period didn't happen until after 1 yr and it definitely took awhile for us to find our groove. I think making time for each other is so important as well as open communication. I think most of our arguments since she was born have been centered around us not communicating. I feel like our relationship is definitely different than it was before DD but it's so much for the better. 😊 I think being as conscious as you are of the possibility of your relationship changing is a great thing! You will be fine! ❤️
