AmyG had a good point about organizing recipe threads, and rather than creating a bunch of sub-boards, the Admins added a board addon that will let us do searches by hashtag, assuming we all use them on threads AND use some standard ones. So we could quickly find #dessert ideas or #crockpot or #weeklymealplan. I've tagged the threads I created already - is anyone else on board? Here are my suggestions: Type: [HASH]bread [HASH]breakfast [HASH]crockpot [HASH]dessert [HASH]healthy [HASH]instantpot [HASH]maincourses [HASH]salads [HASH]sidedishes [HASH]vegetarian [HASH]weeklymealplan Main ingredient [HASH]banana [HASH]beef [HASH]chicken [HASH]chocolate [HASH]corn [HASH]eggplant If anyone wants to suggest some more, I'll keep adding them to this post SaveSaveSave

Maybe sticky whatever the standard hashtags end up being? For easy reference.

Help me out tho, where do we search for these hashtags? I mean I'm assuming it's not gonna be from Tapatalk, but I can't even find Amyg's post where she suggested it.

Ok, I finally figured it out, so I'm updating. First, this unfortunately only seems to work on Desktop. Secondly, if you want to tag your thread, you need to put [] around the #. Thirdly, you then need to wait at least overnight for the search software to crawl all the threads and index them. But then, if you click on one of the tags, it will take you to the board search page for the results of that tag. Nifty, but not as much so as I had hoped

AmyG, unfortunately, I agree. No one will remember [#], and it not working at all on mobile is probably the nail in the coffin (or however that goes). :-( On desktop, it now works for the handful of items I went back to tag personally using the [#] format, and it's kinda neat, but not enough so to catch on. Also, it's not going to help matters that my op is the top search result for any of them, so people may not even realize the link worked.
