M's teacher told me that M is getting too tall for her nap mat and that I should bring something else in. The problem is that they don't make longer nap mats. The mom of the other girl in her class with this issue just made her a custom one. That... is not going to happen in this house. Any suggestions? Her current one is this style (and what most kids at her DC use):

Sleeping bag and small pillow? Do her teachers have any suggestions? M sleeps on a cot at school.

Yeah I just looked and there's a million shops selling nap mats. You may have to message a seller to get an extra long one, but you can definitely get one there.

Does it bother her? I'm pretty sure none of the preschoolers at Ms school would fit flat out on their mats (school provided) and no one cares.

I don't think that it does, but one teacher says that it does. M isn't a great napper (she naps better at DC than at home), so I'm dubious that such things can be determined from how well she sleeps.

Sleeping bag and small pillow? Do her teachers have any suggestions? M sleeps on a cot at school. Her teacher was all, "well that kid has a fold out cot kind of thing and that kid has a mat that rolls up like this, but almost everyone has the same kind you have." I mean, M is a big kid, but not bigger than the kids two years older than her who apparently use the same thing.

DD is on the smaller side, but even the bigger kids curl up on nap mats...the biggest (and oldest) consistently falls asleep on a mat in the hallway, and sleeps through all the other kids waking up and stepping over her.
I think this is weird, but I have a barely 30lb 3.5 year old.

Has M ever complained about her mat to you?

Has M ever complained about her mat to you? She loves it like it is her bff (but would love a new one more, I'm sure).

Our school asks for sleeping bags instead of mats. They are on a carpeted floor though so not sure if that makes a difference. It's plenty big.

I just looked the one you have up, since I am handy and have been sewing so would totally make her one.
It's 50" long - is M a lot taller than that?!

I'm not sure how tall she is, but it's in the 3 feet range. I think that 50 inches includes the "pillow" which is long since gone. And her movement draws up the top blanket so that her toes are exposed and then she complains that she is cold (she also complained that he was cold today when wearing insulated rain pants, a fall dress and a plastic raincoat in humid 70 degree weather - so there's that). I asked M this morning if she liked her nap mat as it is or if she feels like she needs a bigger one. She said, "I like it how it is (long pause) no, wait, I don't. I need a new one." I'm now split between going with a sleeping bag or just KOKO. Laziness will probably win.

My E uses something like this, too. They put crib sheets on them.

My E uses something like this, too. They put crib sheets on them. Same here. They sanitize the mats 1x a week, and crib sheets get brought weekly. When there's lice, daily.
