This weekend is my birthday! and I wasn't feeling too great yesterday. Today I am feeling a bit better and contemplating making myself a cake! I'll just have a bite and freeze a few slices to have after the baby shows up . Maybe have hubs, my mom and DS bring slices to the hospital to celebrate bubs birth day too! Anyways still thinking about it. May not be able to complete it today since I need to get some raspberries and cream but should be able to just bake the cake component. I did however, finally finish bubs Topponcino and extra covers! Just need to do a final wash and iron the seams out. I will attempt to post a pic. Hope it works!

duskymonkey Happy Birthday! I hope you get your cake!! rebeccabunch we all did fine. I slept fine, it was weird not hearing his sound machine in the next room. They said he slept fine but he seems awfully tired and grumpy. He ran and gave me a big hug when he saw me this morning though.

duskymonkey happy birthday! I vote 100% for cake. I got my breast pump today! I'm a little intimidated by the flanges size. The lady said I wouldn't know what size I was until after baby arrives, but dang those look big. Maybe I just have small nipples :s

cythe that's the one I think I'm going to get. You could need various sizes of flanges depending on where you are in your BF journey. I took mine in my hospital bag and had the LC look to see if she thought they were ok. I also asked the LC at our peds office about it after my milk came in. ETA I eventually needed smaller ones, when DS was around 9 months or so.

I watched the videos of breastfeeding and was in awe of the size of their nipples. But i ended up having to go up from the standard 24 mm up to 27 mm after a few months. You really can't know what will happen.

I'm going to get the S1 and have tricare reimburse me since no provider has it.

Even sent me home with 5 60 count boxes of milk storage bags. I want the S1 since it has a built-in battery. With DD being a needy toddler, I want freedom to get up (if needed) while I'm pumping when I'm home alone with both kids.

Gosh I forgot all about a breast pump. I should call insurance about that and see what they cover. How is this pregnancy only lasting 2 more months? I think I've procrastinated everything this time around.

I've spent the last hour reading up on good shoes for pregnancy. My feet have been killing me lately so the plan is to stop by the local shoe place after school tomorrow and try on some pairs. I've got 8ish weeks left in this pregnancy and most of that will be on my feet - I'm typically hobbling by 3:30. We recently implemented a really strict dress code for our district but I may see about trying to get my OB to write a note about wearing tennis shoes as those seemed most supportive last Friday if I can't find anything tomorrow.

cougarette seventythree danvers cythe duskymonkeyThanks for the laundry advice, I guess the milk protein thing makes sense. I knew it had to be something newborn related since the rest of her stuff was fine. I didn't get around to cleaning anything as of yet.

duskymonkey Happy birthday! Hope it was a great day. : ) The nesting bug finally bit me. I went through DS's boxes of newborn clothes/things, washed 2 loads of baby clothes (still need to fold, ugh), and readjusted the straps on the infant seat for baby girl (just need to install the base eventually, but there's plenty of time for that). I also got to go on a solo grocery shopping trip to Aldi, then felt the need to clean/rearrange the kitchen while putting groceries away. My back is hurting now, but thankfully I'm going to the chiropractor for my monthly adjustment tomorrow.

Who are you and why are you commenting on so many RANDOM threads across multiple BMBs? hello to you too I was never aware that I need to introduce myself before commenting. No offense! I mean, it's not mandatory but much appreciated. We have lurkers all the time and welcome them. It just struck me as odd that you're commenting on old posts across several birth month boards (Aug 17, here, PAIF....) and especially digging up a fairly older post that hasn't been commented on since June in Parenting. Did you have a baby born this month or are you due in October? Have you struggled with IF? See how an intro may help explain your posting patterns a little more?

I am simply a mom with not so little kids. They're toddlers now and I miss them being as little as the newborn photos posted
