What do you need to get done outside of your normal work duties?
I need to get ingredients to make lemon bars for the shore this weekend. I need to finish scanning and uploading the old family pictures I found. I promised random relatives it would be done by the end of the week but I've been slacking and reading every night after the kids go to bed instead of finishing it.

Also I got maybe 5 hours of mostly uninterrupted sleep. I feel so refreshed! 😭 #momlife

E was up from 2:30-4:30 after she fell asleep again I was up with a stomach ache for another half hour. I'm so sleepy at least I am working from home. Today is also my birthday but it never feels like a big deal anymore.

Lakes you always make me feel like such a slacker! I mean that in the nicest way possible 😉, you are just so motivated and I find it so impressive! peaseblossom55 Sorry for the lack of sleep, it really does make such a difference.

I'm a moment of genius yesterday I set a grocery pickup for mh to get on his way home from work at a store that is out of my way but he passes. I also asked him to stop at Dunkin' Donuts to pick up munchkins. It has been a week, and he is off for 2 days but they will be spent fixing his car so I will get little to no time off so I decided to take grocery shopping off my list.
Speaking of grocery shopping, moms with 2 or more, how are you doing it now? R is totally able to sit in the front of the cart but they can't sit in the front together. Dd is not old enough to walk through the store and R doesn't love being worn/ it is too dang hot to wear him. The last couple times I've done small trips, put them in the double stroller, and carried a reusable bag on my shoulder to use as a basket. This isn't super sustainable.

Husband fail: He got 10 munchkins. 10. And he said he thought I could share with dd. Yeah no I hid in the kitchen and ate all 10. In what world is 10 munchkins a shareable number?

meeggaannw awww thanks. I've been in a funk and a bit burned out lately. I have legit done nothing after the kids have gone to bed for the last two weeks except read and watch tv. The bare minimum has been getting done during the day. I think I'm getting out of it though. I'm going to blame my period from last week but I really think I need a day away from the kids and a full night's sleep!

No internet yesterday, so I'm trying to catch up now.
DH asked a family friend and his baby-loving fiance to babysit tonight so we could go see Dunkirk together. I'm excited at the prospect of a 2nd date night in less than a week, but it's added stress to my day to get the house cleaned and dinner/bedtime stuff prepped for them.
I need like 2hrs of kid-free/work-free time this afternoon to get my shit together, but that's not going to happen. Boo hoo.

meeggaannw I've switched to doing all my grocery shopping online and I just swing by to pick it up. If I have to run in to get something with both kids, M is in the Ergo and DS rides in the cart. Our bigger stores have carts where 2 kids can sit but I usually go to the smaller ones. Agreed that I'm not ready to let DS walk!

meeggaannw I've actually been thinking about this! Dd is a peanut and still in the baby bucket car seat. I've been putting that in the grocery cart and packnthings around it. If I Tetris everything right I can fit in groceries for the whole week. Once she's out of the bucket I don't know. Is putting a toddler in the basket part of the cart an option? I feel like I've seen people do it but I don't know if that's frowned upon now? I'd be worried about ds trying to eat the food too. I like shopping with the kids in the morning so I don't want to switch my schedule and do it at night. I'm a morning person through and through. After dinner I want to be in my pjs and not leaving the house!
