I know it is WAY too early but since I'm also planning an adoption party, I was inspired by a post on the MAMBI fb page. I found full page printable for Christmas planning from Planning Inspired on Etsy. I have it just in a school folder. I'm excited! I added washi to make section dividers.

Very cute. I haven't even begun to think about Christmas. We're flying trans-Pacific on Christmas Eve and then will board a cruise on Dec. 27, so we're delaying Christmas until after we get back. I know I'm going to keep putting off preparations, but it will sneak up on me and by mid-December I'll be panicking no matter how much I've gotten done or how organized I am.

I do an activity advent calendar instead of candy (go see xmas lights, build a snowman, etc.), and make a tracker of the activities so that I can move them around as necessary (based on energy levels, weather and whatnot).

I do an activity advent calendar instead of candy (go see xmas lights, build a snowman, etc.), and make a tracker of the activities so that I can move them around as necessary (based on energy levels, weather and whatnot). Growing up we had an Advent calendar, but it was a wall-hanging Christmas tree with 24 ornaments, one for each night. The three of us kids took turns putting on ornaments after dinner. (Now that we're all adults with our own houses, we're having a fight about who gets to keep the Advent Calendar.) I had never seen the candy ones until I moved to Australia. My husband never realized there were non-chocolate Advent Calendars.
