So I've been on baby aspirin since the beginning of this pregnancy to reduce the risk of pre-e because some of my early BP's we're borderline hypertensive. My BPs lately have been fine. I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and just realized no one ever told me when I should stop taking it. I'm assuming it's best not to be on it during delivery? For those of you who have taken it, when did your doc have you stop? I have an appointment on Friday so I'll ask then but I just started thinking about it this morning.

I took it for my FET and my RE had me stop it when I stopped taking all my other meds (so 10-12ish weeks?). I was only taking it to help prevent clotting while on estrace though so not sure about pre-e. I seem to remember some SAIFers who took it throughout their pregnancy so it might be worth an XP over there to see if anyone responds.

Good question. I've been on it since the beginning also. I'll have to ask my dr at my next appointment (2 weeks). I'm probably going to forget. I never even thought about how long I should take it. It's become part of the routine.

Thanks for the responses mrsrodgers and codex320. I guess I have to ask tomorrow at my appointment to be sure. I just started freaking out because I was having contractions yesterday and thinking I would have some complications with delivery being on a blood thinner but maybe I'm overthinking. One of my friends was on it for pre-e precaution and she said her doc just had her stay on it the whole time because he felt he could control bleeding better than he could pre-e. codex320, I make notes in my phone of things to ask at my appointments so I don't forget. It's like a running joke with my ob because now she just asks me if I need to check my phone for my question list. No way I would remember otherwise!

cali I hope your dr was able to answer your questions and take away your worry of accidentally being on the blood thinner to long!
