I am having serious issues I did not have last time around, are cold flashes and achy everything for three hours a day normal followed by a hot flash? Cause I feel just like when I had malaria and my doctor's are attributing it all to hormones... Before I go get tested for a flare up I want to check with all of you.
Ugh!

yellowcat that sucks. I don't know what's normal or not but for 2 weeks I had bad night sweats, which dr google says is normal to get rid of fluid. I've also been hot at times no one else is so I guess had some hot flashes

(LTs are for starting the thread and hugs- as I obviously don't have much to contribute to PP stuff yet!) That sounds sucky yellowcat - I hope you will feel better soon and that the dr starts taking you seriously!

I just randomly got a few cold flashes this evening. I was getting up from bed and I just got the chills so bad! I couldn't stop shaking until I got back in bed and coveted up.

My understanding is the chills are normal. I definitely had hot flashes/night sweats that lasted all throughout BFing. I would only be really worried if you developed a fever.

I've had some hot flashes yellowcat. It's probably the hormones. My body is doing some weird stuff too. After a year of fertility treatments and 10 months of pregnancy, I can not wait to just feel normal.

@easilyunamused I hear you! Between this little guy and my daughter I haven't really felt like my body was my own for about 4 years between trying to get pg, treatments, and pregnancy. I just want things to calm down!
Not that I am happy others are suffering but I feel a little better now!

Apparently it's a thing in pregnancy and postpartum. 😔 Waiting for the dr to get back to me so I can see someone.

Luckily MH came back and dropped mine off. So I'm not having a stroke, but I do have Bell's palsy (what?!?!). I have to go on some heavy anti viral meds and I'm just praying it doesn't mess with my breastfeeding baby A. I also have to wear an eye patch. I can't believe there's no emoji for that. I'm just glad I caught it quickly, so hopefully my face won't become super droopy.

How terrible I'm glad you caught it too. What made you clue in you might have it if you didn't have the drooping?

@easilyunamused Oh no! I'm so sorry you are dealing with Bells Palsy at all, let alone so soon after having a baby!

What made you clue in you might have it if you didn't have the drooping? When I was brushing my teeth last night, I couldn't spit the water out straight from my lips. It was going off to the right of my mouth. I thought it was strange so this morning I went to smile in the mirror to see if my lip or mouth was swollen and saw that the right side of my mouth wouldn't lift up. Google came in handy right away with Bell's palsy. I just wish I didn't have to come to the ER for it.

@easilyunamused LT for YH bringing you a pump- and that it's not a stroke! But ugh, I'm so sorry - do they know what caused the BP? I hope it resolves sooner rather than later. Sorry you have to deal with this ☹️

Sorry you have to deal with this ☹️ Could have be from an ear infection that I wasn't aware of? There's also some info out there about delivery and CB. Especially with c-sections. 🤷🏼♀️

Gosh @easilyunamused what a rollercoaster for you. So relieved it's not a stroke but Bells Palsy sucks ass as well! Glad you caught it this early and I hope that means they can nip things in the but before it gets much worse. I hope you will be able to go home soon and be with your baby and H.
Awesome he was able to bring your pumpstuff - otherwise I would have suggested asking the H to provide one like addymac did. FX this ordeal won't mess up your BFing plans. If you cant BF with the meds perhaps youcould pump & dump for the time being to keep up supply till you can BF again? That was what I planned to do in csse I had/have to go back on my heart meds.
And hey eyepatches are the new sexy! 😉💛

Dang, that really sucks @easilyunamused! Are you still in the ER, or did they let you go home already? I'm so sorry you have to go through this with just having had a baby. I hope you recover quickly and glad you caught it early on.

Thanks ladies. I'm quite disappointed and overwhelmed with it all really. I think I can still breastfeed, I may need to dump 4 hours after I take the med. it's going to be a long 10 days. I hope it clears up soon.

Hugs for everyone having a hard time post partum. I'm defiantly nervous for it happening to me too. I'm sure you'll be fine. It's funny cause you feel like things will subside after labor, but they seem to be replaced with other issues. Mostly minor and annoying.

@easlyunamused that all sounds sucky! I hope things clear up fast, I don't know about you but I just want my body back! Last time I was doing field work within 2 weeks, now I can barely move when the chills start. Hormones are evil!
