doodlemommy Sounds like a great day is in store for you! Whatever you decide to do will be awesome 😀 Today went well - everyone is healthy. Let's hope it stays that way! This baby has been doing super gymnastics in my bump lately. Like, even DS did a double take when my bump was dancing all over the place during story time before bed. He normally doesn't care about the bump all that much, but he just looked at me like - what is going on inside you mom?!?!? I think DS is finally understanding there is an actual little living human baby inside me 😁

At about 4 am DS woke up and when i came to his room he grabbed my hand, pulled me to the rocking chair, climbed in my lap and went to sleep with his hand on my belly. Why aren't they always this sweet?

Another coolish day today! No forecast for rain so hoping I can send DS out with grandma for an am walk soon. He was an obnoxious caged monkey being cooped up in the house all day yesterday. Also last night during one of my MOTN pee sessions, I somehow slipped getting out of bed. Luckily I caught myself but have an unpleasant bruise on my left hip now. Meh. Going to take it easy today and finish DS preschool registration forms and do a little tidying up around the house the best I can.

So it's not WTF Wednesday, but it applies today... I'm trying to sell our old bed frame (we upgraded from a queen to a king) and last night someone sent me a message saying she was interested but needed a ton of other measurements (I provided the stock picture that provided the lxhxw). Well this morning she said that she was going to pass... I was fine giving her the info she needed, but it sucks that she just said "pass" no reason why.

Well apparently this morning DH decided to go ahead and put in the corner shelf in our shower. This is in the master bath, and we're replacing the floors in the hall bath. So now we don't have a way to shower for a couple of days. WTF dude?

Oh in other WTF news (maybe we could just have WTF Tuesday this week, lol)
Our team is moving to a new office sometime next month. I found out yesterday that it's a big loft-style room and there's no separate meeting space. I sent an email to my boss and his boss that I'm concerned about the lack of space, not only for private meetings, but because I need a space to pump. They have already dismissed my coworkers concerns about not having somewhere for meetings. He said they could just drive 10 min to our current office. Yeah, I'm not going to do that several times a day. I was just reminded that we're very close to 50 employees, so as long as ACA is the law of the land they'll need to figure something out.

I had an endocrinologist appointment this morning. Everything is looking good, so that's a relief. I was so excited to go to Wawa afterwards. I was running late getting back to work so I decided to eat my sandwich in the car. Took a bite and got sundried tomato sauce all over my shirt. Then dropped half of the sandwich on the floor of the car.  |

One of my best friends is in the hospital getting induced as we speak, so I am pretty much useless at work today. Mix that with this being our busiest week at work and it's not a good combo. I'm ready to see a squishy baby to make my baby fever even worse for my own squish!
Edit: I also received my Target completion coupon this morning! I received one for in-store and one for online, so I assume I can use them both separately? That was a nice surprise!

Sidenote - Can anyone tell me if HomeGoods sells furniture? I've only been to the store one time, but I'm thinking of going Friday to see if they have a decently priced recliner for the nursery.

Hello. Glad I found you all again! I'm hopefully wrapping up the most annoying project at work. I keep having to go back to make corrections because someone forgot to give me a piece of the puzzle.
I'm anxious to get home because we have a lot of packages coming today and it's all baby stuff!!!

thatgirlrachel, they do sell some furniture. I haven't bought any and actually haven't been into one in a long time but I remember that they do! We got our amazon welcome box yesterday!

OMG yall I am so pissed. This is long, so feel free to skip. Tl;Dr one of the execs here is an asshole who apparently doesn't support nursing moms.
So we had the meeting with the team to talk about our concerns with the space. I brought up the meeting room in terms of how I would need it and was completely talked down to and humiliated. I'm not even sure what this guy's role is, but like I said earlier he's my boss's boss. He was all, "well actually the law doesn't require it" (after I confirmed that we are currently at 49 employees and will be over 50 come January) and I went, "uhhhh" and he goes, "do you want to look at the law right now?" and I said, "Yeah!" (we didn't, but continued with the meeting) He then goes on to say that I could come to the old office 10 minutes away, and I said, "3 times a day for 30 minutes each?" and he said, "Or you can stay here. Maybe QA will stay in this building". Oh ok, yeah so I'm just going to splinter off from the team. It's not like I need to talk to the guys all day every day. I mean WTF. The guy was literally yelling at me.
So then I messaged my boss later saying that I didn't think I deserved to be talked down to like that. Meanwhile he sent me an email saying that he didn't know the exact ACA provision, but it shouldn't matter whether it's required or not, that it should be done. He even talked to his wife about it. I sent him a link to it from the Dept of Labor website and he was saying it might be the part about non-exempt employees and FSLA and whatnot. I don't know what any of that shit means, so maybe I don't qualify. But still! He's on my side completely, but for this other asshole - wouldn't you want to keep your good employees happy and want to return after 12 lousy, unpaid weeks?
I understand the concern, because this would be a temporary office while they find a permanent solution for the whole, growing company. But the thing is, the year that we're there is the year that I'll be pumping and trying to feed my kid. I'm actually surprised he didn't just tell me to use formula.
Anyway, it may be a non-issue because maybe they can put in the office and all will be well. I'm waiting to see if my boss does anything before going to HR. In related news, I need to figure out who HR is these days. I hope it's not Mr. Asshole.
Again, this was in the middle of a meeting with my (mostly male) teammates.
We just now talked about a part of the move - we'd have to park about a block away. It's raining right now and they were talking about how well at least I'd get the spot at the building. I said I may be gone by then since it's early Oct when we'd be moving. I then said, "and I guess I won't be coming back and everyone will be happy" they said, "no one would be happy with that". Guys. These are grumpy programmers! So basically everyone else is on my side. I almost started to cry again.
