FX for you wilmaroo ... i've never had good luck with OPKs either so hopefully those negatives mean nothing! welcome ap21ril , i'm new around here too. i'm just hanging out in the TWW... thinking 5DPO but this is my first time triggering so not positive... guessing i'll probably try to wait the full two weeks to avoid a false positive from the trigger - i've heard it can stay awhile. My trigger shot is finally gone today - 9 dpIUI and 10.5 days post trigger shot.

**TW Loss and Pet Loss** Thank you wisco. I'm so sorry for your losses as well! Losing our dog felt like another gut punch, and I was definitely not ready for that. **End TW** My RE is being accommodating as well, and agreed that I can start our next treatment cycle as soon as I stop BCP at the end of September!! Welcome ap21ril. Sorry you are moving on to IUI, but I hope it goes well for you! Sorry for the loss of your Golden. So young too. Hugs! I'm going to use Follistim too! Let me know what you think of it. Sorry your follie was gone wilmaroo! I have no experience with CBA OPKs; I use the internet cheapies, and they work well for me. Have all the sex and good luck! caligirl Are you going to test out your trigger? Good luck this cycle! fatpony What are your testing plans? FX!

I'm testing tomorrow morning...getting nervous. Also, I think the main side effect I'm having from the progesterone is trouble sleeping and general exhaustion.

Hi all,
I've been on vacation all week and MIA from here. I had the HSG Friday and everything was good. It was so quick and mostly painless. I just left my follicular ultrasound. There was an 11mm and 15mm. They want me to try OPKs to make sure I don't ovulate over the weekend. I've never used them, so I hope I respond to them. I go back Monday for another check.

Thanks orangehibiscus! Fingers are crossed. Using Gonal-f isn't too bad, but it definitely burns more than I expected. Not terrible, but noticeable haha. I responded follicle number was to clomid only, but they were only growing around 0.5-1mm every 2-3 days. Once we started gonal as well, I've been much more normal.

Do you give the shots to yourself? Glad to hear you're responding. I've had 3 cancelled TI cycles with Femara because I didn't respond. I'm really hoping I will respond to the Follistim. FX for you!

Wow, I just realized how tired I must have been last night! I meant to say I responded to clomid in terms of follicle numbers, and usually have at least 3, they just don't grow enough. I do give them myself; I'm a nurse and trust my skills more than my not nurse husband haha. FX for you too! SaveSave

Spoke to RE this morning and cancelled beta, since all my HPT's are negative. They are going to up my Femara to 7.5/day (from 5). I was a late responder last cycle and only had one mature follicle when I triggered. Do you think we should be more aggressive?

I had my second follicular ultrasound today. The right side had no growth from Saturday (still 15) while the left went from 11 to 13. My lining did increase from Saturday. I'll go back again Wednesday for another ultrasound and trigger shot.
There was also a bright white spot, but they seemed unconcerned about it.

fatpony, I had a MUCH better response when my RE increased my dosage from 5mg/day to 7.5mg/day. Not only did I seem to have more follicles but they grew at a faster rate (I was previously a slower responder). caligirl, Fingers crossed for you! I wish I had your will power. I always tell myself I am going to wait to test...and then as soon as I think my trigger should have cleared, I'm squinting at the Wondfos. jacks, I'm hoping for continued follicle growth for you! Were they concerned that the 15 hadn't changed? AFM: Got the go ahead from the RE last Thursday to stop my the norethindrone, so CD1 was Saturday. I went in for a urine HCG test at the clinic this morning, and it was negative (SHOCKER!) so I am starting letrozole today at 7.5mg/day. I'll go in next Friday morning (CD14) for monitoring, and the plan is to trigger with HCG and then IUI. We were originally going to go out of town next weekend, but are too anxious to start treatment to wait another cycle...so we will likely stay close to home and spend some quality time together. I'm kind of relieved not to have another long car trip (we've been doing lots of car traveling over the last few months, and I'm over it for a while).

Also, I love that this message thread is "flaming." Not usual that the IUI/TI group is the bustling section of the infertility board!

ap21ril I hope you respond better to Gonal-F than Clomid. I hear ya on skills. I'm an NP, and I plan on giving them to myself too. I will teach my H how to do it too though because I'll have to do a trigger shot at some point. FX for you caligirl! fatpony I didn't respond to 5 or 7.5mg. The third attempted cycle, I did 7.5mg Femara with Dexamethasone 0.5mg days 3-12, then I took more Dex because I kept having more monitoring ultrasounds. I still didn't respond to that, which is why I'm starting Follistim next cycle (after I'm done being benched). I think increasing the Femara dose is being more aggressive. I wouldn't push for adding Dex now. You don't want to over-respond and have to cancel. If you don't respond enough this time, then I would ask about adding Dex. jacks Yay for some growth on the left! FX you have significant growth at your next US. Where was the bright white spot? wisco Yay for starting Femara! FX you respond well again to it! AFM... Not much different. I have about 4.5 weeks until I take my last BCP (again...lol!), and I can start my next treatment cycle. I do need to have the saline sono done, so I will have to schedule that with my work. And...I'm getting internet on Wednesday (supposed to be set up on 9/11). Yippee! I've been without internet since we moved a month ago. I need Netflix and Hulu in my life!

wisco The u/s tech was mildly concerned, but the nurse ran it by my doctor and they just made the plan for me to come back Wednesday for another ultrasound. Hope you respond well to the femara and with minimal side effects! orangehibiscus The white spot was in the middle of my uterus, I think.

jacks I had something like that that they saw on my third attempted (cancelled) TI cycle. I'm pretty sure is was white. They weren't sure if it was in my endometrium or the myometrium. They think it is a cyst. They are going to do a saline sonogram before I start my next treatment cycle to investigate it.

Hi all! I had previously been posting just on the DOR check ins, but have been stalking this thread so thought I'd say hello. I'm currently early cycle, tomorrow is day 10 monitoring. Last cycle I only had 1 follicle with 150 clomid+ 100 gonal so we've switched to 7.5 letrozole+150 gonal. We shall see!
What a comfort it is to read everyone's progress, so grateful for this board!
